The Ice Storm
Took the s7c out to take some nighttime pics of the icestorm. I am posting the original and my crops of each photo.
The holly leaf original
Two crops - you should have seen the whole thing upclose in hires. These were taken at 5MP compressed and the camera can do 7MP raw.
The three buds - the original
The crops - they look like superheros
The frozen stick
The crops
Misc
Frozen dripping penis?
On a side note I went to go see (e:terry) and chris sing kerioki last night and it was fun.

Appliance Shopping At Orvilles
This is what we ended up picking out. It was normally $1399 marked down to $800.
They had some crazy high tech appliances too, like this refrigerator with an embedded television and touch screen LCD controls.
They also had some old fashioned looking appliances that were more expensive than the high tech ones.
Still busy on my quest to eat all the world's sea food. That is just about all I eat now. I don't think these are even the healthy type.
Here is a pic (e:terry) took of himself at dinner.

My Tenants are making me crazy
Months ago we requested that they mail the checks because they were always late and (e:terry) and I were sick of stopping by 15 times a month trying to pick up the rent. They always have some excuse. Then the woman tells me she can't mail the rent because it is too hard and too expensive. After a whole bunch of drama I told her ok, she could leave it at the house for me but it better be there on time. Well now this month it is January 14th and I still have no rent from anyone in that apartment.
Maybe if you cannot afford a stamp you should not be in graduate school at d'youville and expect to live in an apartment three houses away from school. There is the whole rest of the much cheaper west side. Or maybe if you can't afford America you shouldn't go to school here. I mean I never tried to go to school in Switzerland. I knew it was to expensive for me.
My Letter Today
Dear Tenant,
I have still not received any rent from your apartment for January 07. It is totally unaccepable to not have paid rent this far into the month (Jan 14th). If you are out of town this long, you need to pay in advance.
The fact that we have to keep driving to your house and checking the mailbox is extremely irritating. This is why I asked that you send me the rent in the mail. You insisted you would have it in the box on time and you haven't. I expect you to send me the rent in the mail.
My address is ...
If I do not receive the rent in Full ($550) by Friday via US postal service, consider this a thirty day eviction notice.

Their Response
Hola
Sorry that this has been happed. I have been told from the bank that december rent still in my account. I gave the December check to Henrry. In order to pay the current month I have to show my bank in Canada that the money for rent of the previous months has been taken. On Janaury 5th it was not withdrawn.
Tuesday I am going to be there, please remember that I only responsable for my portion of the rent (183).
thanks Tenant
My Response
Tenant,
I explained this to you before. We are not renting the apartment out as rooms. The rent for the apartment is $550. If you have 3 roommates it is $183 each, with 2 roomates it is $275 each , and with one person it is $550.
If the full rent of $550 for the apartment cannot be paid between the tenants in the apartment then you are going to have to move out. Consider this your 30 day notice. I cannot afford to rent a furnished 3 bedroom apartment for $183. I pay more than that for the mortgage.

770 Elmwood, Kunis, and a Names Bitch
Headed on down to the elmwood village today to get some lunch at Globe market. I had the tasty rice and chicken soup with turkey sandwich combo. They had olive-chocolate bars. Can you believe it (e:mike), someone is marketing what we discovered years ago - that olives taste really good with chocolate. They cost $6.29 per bar. Can you believe it?!
770 Elmwood
We parked in the parking lot next to the Globe Market and the back half of it was flooded with water too deep to walk in. I wonder why they didn't plan this out a little better and make it either more level or slanted so that water would drain down to the street instead of pooling in the back.
Has anyone noticed the building next to the Globe Market and Wilson's Farms is beginning to appear abandoned. I mean maybe it was always abandoned but there is not even a window anymore on the second story side facing Globe market.
Kunis To Go
On the way home we saw a sign on the corner of Lexington and Elmwood for Kuni's To Go.
Looks like Kuni opended up a new to go sushi restaurant right next to where the coop used to be. I am so excited about this and plan to get lots of sushi and sashimi from there. They have a website and you can order by fax. I wish the website was a little more technologically advanced so that you could just order online. I mean isn't ordered by fax a little lame for high technology and a little over the top for low technology. If anyone from the restaurant reads this - I could help you get an online order system up and running and I would be easy to use and cheap to maintain.
Here is a sample from the site that shows their menu
It appears to be a locally made website - by ingenious
Went out with nameless bitch, (e:matthew) and dave last night. We played pool and darts for a bit. I drank enough vodka and waters to be a bit tipsy.
Here we are making myspace faces
After drinking it is hard to keep nameless bitch out of the leftovers. She got into (e:matthew) milky egg soup but added ketchup and mustard to it.
I wish I could show you the video of this experience but I have been forbidden from posting it.

A couple pounds of sugar
I have a serious weakness for Necco waffers. Their pure sugary goodness makes me drool. I ate a whole tub of them yesterday. When I am eating them I get into this zone where I just can't stop. I crunch and crunch. Sometimes I get so into them that I almost choke requiring water. I am sure it is really bad for my teeth but I am not willing to give it up.
War craft dorks at lunch
I haven't seen these kind of dice since the time before my first computer.

I makes me wonder if I should have just joined the darkside and been a scammer. The fact that I received this from someone on my userlist means that they fell for it. I am sure so many other people do to.
I wonder how much money all those nigerian bank scams make. Must be more lucrative than being a landlord.

I hated apple
I really hope I get this for my birthday. At first I will use wifi until I am finally free of sprint. Then I will have to rejoin cingular. I am kind of sad to move to cingular because sprint is so fast but their customer service sucks and I actually think I end up paying more with them.
The other advantage of having a cingular connection is that it will enable all of my old devices to work again as you can switch sim cards. The htought of having a real mobile browser that renders liek safari make me so freakin' excited. It is like the web on my phone. Not the pocket IE crappy version of the web on my phone. This may actually revolution mobile internet. Not just because it is an apple browser, but because it will be hyped up so much.
The one thing I am not sure baout is if I am ready to give up my qwerty keyboard. I did this once before and i hated that withe the nokia 7710.
the real problem is that it is not for sale yet and has this warning on the apple site.:
This device has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.

Trip To Wegmans
They sell pomegranite seeds. Seems like everything is getting more convenient these days.
I think this is ridiculous. I mean who is going to pay almost $2.00 for a half of a tiny apple cut up. I know I wouldn't and what a waste of plastic.
I bought crab meat and at it with yummy lemon butter sauce. I figure got to hurry up and eat it all before there is no more seafood in the ocean.
It probably will not help my strange high blood pressure. The second number just keeps climbing up and it seems to be in the high blood range now. I am, however, on astragalus today for my lungs and I think it raises your blood pressure. Will I die if both numbers are the same? Jenks, anyone?
