Diesel Boy
Friday, Sept 9th, at the Opium Lounge: Dieselboy.
North America's biggest drum-n-bass dj/producer/label chief, and is also one of the biggest dj's in the world, period! He hasn't played Buffalo in several years, and this appearance is much anticipated by people from all over Upstate NY and Southern Ontario.Quoted from: Buffalo Rising Journal
This not having a mobile phone situation is killing m, I keep seeing so many things I want to take pictures of but I can't!

the fair - klu klux lamb?
We went to the fair to see all the tasty animals. What is up with this lamb? All the lambs are covered like this. Is it to protect their coat for the show? It kind of reminds me of those italians that cover their couches in vinyl.
Check out the face on that chicken-like thing below. It was on sale for $20. I wish I had more land or that winter wasn't coming. I saw a chicken lay an egg for the first time. It is pretty gross.
Food. Like every Buffalo metropolitan area event, food was the main attraction. I ate italian sausage, fried ice cream, birch beer, fries, and the best thing I ever had in my life. Basically, it combines my two favorite foods - maybe syrup and cotton candy. There is a picture of (e:matthew) holding it below but I ate the whole bag myself.
Then we went to the animal freak show. It was disgusting. I feel bad for giving them money. The animals were in such bad conditions. There were two five legged cows. They had this tiny box with a big snake in it. On the box it said,"ancient belief - touching silver coins to a snake brings good luck" The cage was all full of dirty money. Some of it was even in the food bowl.
(e:ladycroft), they had the biggest zuzchini contest and it wasn't nearly as big as yours. Yous should enter next year.

The 10,000 Party
We met a lot of new people and it was great on all accounts. I missed the video game part but I hear (e:ladycroft) plays a mean mariocart. She also makes delicious vegatarian zuchini squares. To bad you missed that (e:leetee) !!
For the record both (e:jason) and (e:joshua) do exist and they are both pretty cool guys.
Now onto the crazy part geoffrey was insane. He spilled his drinks everywhere including on his ride, stomped all around like royalty, and finally, while being escorted out by (e:hodown) said -who is that bitch throwing me off my stage, referring to the porch. He truly topped his already over the top self. The poor girl he was with had only been friends with him for a month.
Also both Sara Ross (e:iriesara) and Emily Keating (e:emilyjane) showed up but Emily had no idea Sara would be there. It was a fun surprise.
Okay, time to right 10,000 more entries!!

$20 sneakers and america theme
The made in china, oil based, sweat shop enhanced america theme was 50% off, so like any good event organizer we had our venture capitalist suppport manager by it all up. They even had fake ants for your picnic needs.
On the way we saw a portable sneaker shop at elmwood and hertel hocking sneaker for $20 a pair and this flagtasttic house.

Taste of Buffalo
For about $20 I had 7 crawfish, coconut crusted shrimp with mango sauce, two lamb sticks (one piece from rack of lamb), jerk chicken, rice, yummy tortellini from Pearl Street Brewery, and a Sicilian rice ball. I realy liked the Sicilian rice ball. It was kind of like a ball of risotto, battered and fried with tomato sauce. I was also very yummy. Here is a recipe for it. It is also known as Arancini. I never had them before. Although I am 1/4 Sicilian, my nonna never cooked so we ate mostly venetian food with an occasional Sicilian treat my grandmother learned to cook in America from other Sicilians on the west side. I really think my mom would like this one.
I can't believe how many people waited in line to be advertised by crest and dove soap. Did any of you get any of that free crap.
So I ate and I also worked out today. SoonI will be buff, at that point I will start beating people up for fun, so watch out - lol.

The party Was Crazy
I believe the last people left around 7. It was such a diverse crowd of people, many of whom did not know each other, but everyone got along great.
(e:lilho) worked the bar most of the night. She actually made $16 in tips.
Somewhere, there is a whole video of that, which I will post as soon as it is edited and compressed. Thank you (e:soyeon) for bringing your camera dn the delicious ham sushi.
Everything got really dirty. This is a picture of t he kitchen floor to give you an idea. The whole apartment is pretty nasty though, we will have a full day of cleaning ahead but I am the only person up so far.
(e:terry) took a Claritan D and past out in the living. His alergies must have been really bad.
(e:mike) went to bed early, first on top of (e:jill) 's car and then with a little work getting him back into the house, he fell asleep on the floor. Basically, how any 21st birthday party should be celebrated.
(e:matthew) 's friend's Christine and Tony came out. They brought a giant high heel pinata which complimented our parrot pinata for a dual pinata party. There was so much candy, I think that is why so many people satyed so long. Pinata's are a bad idea in the long run, they made a giant mess and now there are 3000 peices of candy to pick up.
Here is the kitchen sink, like any surface in the house it is covered in bottles. You can see the parrot pinata's head above the sink.
The Kitchen table is the same way. It will be so fun cleaning.
