Burn Baby Burn

(e:terry) has been busy pruning and we had so many dry butterfly bush clippings. I decided to just burn em up quick instead of clipping them into bags. Its amazing how fast they light up. I can see why scrub fires get so out of control in places like CA.

Bye Bye Mail History

I just deleted 22,000 emails from my gmail and spent almost 4 hours unsubscribing from everything I ever signed up for in the last 5 years. Its amazing how complicated it is to unsubscribe from so much stuff. I can finally set my phone to auto sync because I think the inbox is now under control. Before this it would beep way too often with new crap, that I had set it to manual sync.

Destiny Productions @ Chroma

I wish so bad that Toronto was just part of the United States. Its the perfect distance for a big city to be away from me but the border, etc makes it such a pain in the ass.

Tonight Loadstar is playing at a new club in the guvernment complex called chroma. I would gladly pay $20 to go if it was here. Check out the club.

Wow the legal system is getting so ridiculous.

A class-action lawsuit over the spread's purported health claims has just been settled, with a judge siding with a parent who says she was duped into believing it was good for her kids.Nutella-maker Ferrero USA, Inc. will pay out $3.05 million as part of the settlement, with $2.5 million to be divided among consumers who file a claim, the New York Daily News reported.

Wegmans Aspagus Scam

wegmans had some great looking large aspagargus at the very reasonable price of $1.99/ lb. About 5 feet away from the display and big $1.99/lb sign was the same exact aspagus wrapped in celephane on styrofoam trays.

If you look carefully you see that the price is astronomically higher. The smaller pack was $4.99/lb. The larger pack was $3.99/lb. Surely the little styrofoam tray and plastic wrap can't be that expensive.

My feeling is that this is a scam for people that don't carefully pay attention as much as I do. You walk in, see the $1.99/lb sign. decide you want more than one bunch worth so you pick up a tray and bam - $3.00 extra dollars per pound. I think most people would have assumed the larger amount woukd be cheaper if anything. Its not like they had a sign saying $4.99/lb above those items.
