Black friday Aftermath

(e:mike) and I hit up the stores for black friday. We decided to go to the eastern hills because we figured it would be less busy. It was still pretty packed. we started at 9 and shopped till 4. On the way back we stopped at target because I wanted an electric toothbrush that was on sale. It looked like capitalism had thrown up on the parking lot.

Lady Sparkle Finger

I asked (e:hodown) to let me snap a new contact photo of her. This is what I got. I am so sad she is gone. I miss here already. This was one of the best visits ever.

One of the best parts was cooking cranberry sauce in the backyard this morning along side a bacon and garden grown swiss chard breakfast.

Divali Party and Haircut

Finally cut my hair.

Then last night (e:samathon86) took us to a davali party in the suburbs. The food was amazing. The hostess w as so gracious. There was a turkey with cranberry chutney and lots of delicious side dishes. There were also great desserts including a pumpkin, banana creme dessert that was one of the best desserts I ever had. (e:yesthatcasey) and I also wore outfits sent by sameers mom from india.

I liked wearing the outfit and afterwards we hit the town and headed to DBGBs on Allen. I must have fit the part because these american girls wouldn't believe my name was Paul. They kept said things like what is your real name back home? and Don't be shy, what do your parents call you? Its really interesting to be perceived as a foreigner at home.

Wegman's Lunch

I always get the strangest things when I eat at the wegmans buffet. Unfortunately, he breakfast buffet had very few veggies. On the other hand they did have bacon and chicken wings. I now think bacon wrapped chicken wings could work out.

Madonna's on Allen Take 2

(e:hodown) and I made it back to Madonna's. the food is such a good price and so delicious. We even got meals togo for the family at home. I can't get over the sausage or the shrimp and ceci bean dish so I got it again. (e:hodown) got the chicken parm. I plan to go back again next week.

Romanesco

I love this stuff. Its a cruciferous family vegetable that tastes similar to brocoli and cauliflower. It especially solid compared to either and slightly milder taste.

Madonna's on Allen - Take One

I love cafe 59, so I was thrilled when I heard the owners opened a new location in the space that used to be fiddle heads.

(e:terry) and I headed over there for dinner on wednesday. The food was reasonablely priced, delicious and well portioned. I can't decide what was better the sausage in red sauce or the shrimp with ceci beans in lemon and olive oil.

I think we are going to return there with (e:hodown) tonight.

samsung is amazing

Sasmsung touchscreen laptops and computers seem so awesome. Too bad they come with windows 8. I wonder how the touchscreen works in linux. I kind of wish I got this instead of the MacBook air. Well except for that despite the thinness its too heavy.

Windows 8 makes me crazy. I tried a file search. After it returned no matching files I got stuck. Esc wouldn't get me out. Swipe sideways wouldn't get me out, F4 wouldn't get me out. Ctrl W wouldn't get me out. Ctrl Q wouldn't get me 'out. Argh.
