Post Partum Depression
Do you ever have postpartum depression with a project you didn't really like at first but then you worked on it feverishly and it became an obsession.
I have been working on this large scale employee evaluation system since the beginning of time it seems. Mostly, because I had to consistently wait for things to be ready and because i am not the owner of the data.
Anyways, it was so boring at first. I really hated the project and then slowly as it grew it became kind of fun. Now that the project is wrapping up I am having a hard time being done with it, because I keep feeling like I could polish it up some more.
I am sure they will find things that need to be done with it once it "hits the shelves" tomorrow so I am not that worried.
The next project up is porting (e:strip) over to roswell software. That should be a much bigger project. The fun part is I only have about 3 weeks to do it!!!! What is up with project management here?
Ona nother note, apparently (e:terry) is most fertile.
NOT taking a bath may improve a man's fertility - even though it might not endear him to his partner.

Another Food Journal
(e:lilho) flew on over to our house for our last homage visit to compusa before it closes, leaving Buffalo computerstoreless for the foreseeable future. Everything is 5-20% off right now. Mac stuff is only 5% off.
Here is (e:terry) looking oh so sad.
I was a typical visit to compusa, then we went to Michael's for (e:matthew) and lilho got her hawk on.
Then off to red pepper for dinner. Yummy vietnamese food.
Her fortune.
My fortune was broken
But good
Yummy Pho
Afterwards to feelright for some free goji juice tasting (WIKIPEDIA - Wolfberry)
It seems to cure everything including cancer, libido and weight problems, lol.
Vegans have it so easy nowadays.

I'm down with PHP, ya you know me
But why the pretty-boy? Maybe there are more girls programming nowadays but I have to say I never see them in the computer programming section in the bookstore. Maybe they are so smart they don't need books.
Maybe it's for gay programmers. I looked at the book because of him but I still think they would do better with a cute girl on the front or even a spaceship or a race car.
If I was straight I would be embarassed to have the book lying around the house.

Danish Protestors Clash with Police
The clashes began after police evicted squatters from an abandoned building that has served as a center for anarchists, leftists and punk rockers.
More than 500 people, including scores of foreigners, have been arrested since the riots started Thursday. Authorities said 207 were arrested early Saturday following overnight clashes in which demonstrators pelted police with cobblestones and set fire to cars.
The wikipedia article about the "youth house" has already been updated
This is what makes wikipedia so great. It is already updated to include the most recent of recent history.
FRom the wikipedia article
In 1999 the building was set for sale to the highest bidder by the municipality following controversy on the renovation of the building and a refusal from the inhabitants to pay the rent agreed upon in the original contract. Which prodded the users of the building post a large banner on the fascade with the message: "For sale together with 500 autonome, stone throwing, violent psychopaths from hell.".
From
The building at the centre of the recent riots, known as "the youth house," has been viewed as free public housing by young squatters since the 1980s. The eviction had been planned since last year, when courts ordered the squatters to hand the building over to a Christian congregation that had bought it six years ago.
Vandals even covered Copenhagen's famed Little Mermaid statue with pink paint, though it's not clear if that's linked to the riots. In the past the statue has been beheaded, doused in paint and been blown off her perch with explosives.
Europe is so extreme. I love it. I think that americans can't get so crazy because first of all the police would just kill the protestors and second of all because we are so used to long term stability at home.
Here is a youtube video for calling the youth's into action
Here are photos from the building
The is a ton more info in the wikipedia article's (WIKIPEDIA - Ungdomshuset) external links section.
Police began clearing the building early (about 0700 local time, CET) Thursday, March 1st 2007.

Remembering a Life Before Food
I had lots of meetings yesterday. Turned out that we are going to be making a Roswell version of estrip for kids and young adults. I a excited to see how it turns out but this means I a going to be crazy busy from now until I leave for San Francisco.
The view from up top of Roswell is interesting. I bet it looks so much better in the summer.
The have all this missions furniture in the lobby. While I think it is pretty to look at, I find that that particular style is really standoffish and uninviting, I wonder why they went with it.
And for food.
For lunch we ate at the Delta Sonic on Main Street because they gave us all $3 coupons. They are kind of like a truck stop. My $5 sandwich came to $2. While I think the food was pretty ok, I don't like the atmosphere of eating at a gas station. At first I thought it was cool that you operate the touchscreen to order the parts of your sandwich but now I think it just feels like they were to cheap to hire ore workers and that you do the work for yourself.
Last night we tried to go to Casa Di Pizza but it was crowded so we headed over to Kosta. We were actually two cars worth of people so it was tricky trying to coordinate somewhere to eat. I am always a big fan of Kostas because they have the tastiest octopus.
I did not die from eating the bayleaf in my clam chowder. When we were kids (e:mike) was so scared of bayleaves.
I drank white wine and ended up with a headache again. I wonder if I have some reaction to the sulfites.
This is what I felt like afterwards. I ended up going to bed with a headache and everyone else went out.

A day at the office
The only sentence that survived was:
It is a huge waste of my abilities to have me make a CD-ROM which sells christmas cards. I just don't get it. It is like hiring an auto engineer to change your oil.
It is probably better I did not publish it.
I started eating jaw breakers because they are the only candy I cannot chew through when I am stressed out.
We ate at Gin Gin's in Chinatown on sheridan. I am fascinated at how the once oh so white KenTon is getting all multi-culti. Someone told me this story once about a suburb of Toronto that was the same way. They were saying that the city became trendy again and the canadians moved out of that suburb and back to the city. Then the suburb became like the ethnic hub.
Something about a blog in chinese.
(e:eknot) drank bubble tea. He agreed, shooting the bubbles out the straw was fun
I ate chopped squid. It tasted really good. I refuse to eat normal meat like chicken where I am not sure what the meat really is. You just can't fake squid.
The candy machine was full of nasty candy that had been there for years it looked like. Now, there was a sign that said it was out of order, but for how long. Why not just haul the machines away.
They have a regular american menu with the typical american chinese crap like sweet and sour chicken, but then they have a right to left chinese menu with the good stuff.
That area is definately becoming chinese. Remember when it was just kind of white trash with Ames.
Wow, these guys are poptastic

New Rugs and Video Liquidators Porn Shop
We went to FWS this weekend, where I once again was not able to dress up my home for less. It seems like every time we go there it costs ~$1000.
My new rug brings out the brighter tones in my office. (e:matthew) got a nice new rug for the living room too.
Also seems like the road signs are taking a beating this year.
I can't believe anyone still buys this type of technology. It seems totally inappropriate for 2007.
While we were at FWS, I noticed the porn store next door now sells "420 smoking products" and "dancer footware." Notice the smaller sign to the right. What a weird combo, or maybe not.

I feel sick and pics of the week
On a good note, I do not have high blood pressure at all. I guess it was just soe freak individual readings because now that I read it like 3 times a day and graph it, it is generally very normal.
Here are some pics from my camera that have no real common theme.
Who buys a $20 lottery ticket?
That art workshop on Allen and Main seems to have closed down or at least downsized.
Is this an advertisement to suggest we drink clam juice?
Cornish Hens taste great cooked by a cornish woman.
I swear I saw some grass one day!
The mardis gras parade was really lame. It was about one block long. I guess the weather was shitty and we were as much to blame as everyone else because we didn't make a float. Maybe next year?
Me and (e:mike) at pardi gras.
I found these iceblocks in front of my tenants house. What could such a large solid iceblock come from?
This is ironic don't you think. It should no laying down.
Scallops are yummy.
I went crazy and got soe shoes. Three pairs to be exact.
Missing Image ;(
Cleveland Aveneue never gets very snow free.

What isn't this about?
Then google earth is amazing. I loved it since it was Keyhole. They now have a nice linux binary installer. That is fantastic. My house has now been added as a 3D model, even if it just is a giant cube.
The hospital is just a big chunky block thing. It seems that you can build better texturized models with google sketchup and then upload them to google earth. HSBC has one, I wonder if Roswell Park will ever want one.
Here is how I walk home.
I bought a tiny microchip a while ago that can remember everywhere it went for two weeks and saves the data in KML the format that google earth reads to plot maps. It seems like I just need a fun project for it now.
I spent the evening electronically walking down millionaire row, the name for the fanciest part of Delaware, where all the mega mansions are. The Buffalo As An Architectural Museum site is a great place for pictures inside the homes. Did anyone else know that Delaware and North was considered the premiere property in buffalo? To bad the beautiful mansion there faces a Walgreens instead of a hill down to the city.
This is the first mansion at that corner.
It was replace by this amazing one. Why couldn't I have been a rich industrialist. I guess I would have missed computers.
The people that built these mansion were the least responsible preservationists. They knocked down the giant beautiful mansion that were there before to built the ones there now.
Here is the pre-knox mansion, mansion on the same plot
Here is the mansion they built.
They caught a very giant squid near Austalia. Look at its giant body trial out the back. It is just screaming lemon, garlic.
Someone beat us to cancer fundraising in SecondLife.
Look (e:terry), it is the old hotel we used to live in jena.

Often spouses have legal protections that an unmarried couple do not have.
For example, in the state of Tennesse, when (e:leetee) automatically became co-owner of the house I owned because spouses are automatically considered to have a 50 50 stake in the primary residence.
Even when my mom bought a house in Tennessee from a builder, the legal papers referred to him as a "married male" who was selling a house that was not his "primary residence."
