Flouride in the water

Floruide is one of the reasons I went reverse osmosis with our water. Sure, it wastes a bunch of water to make our water clear but I think its worth it considering flouride, the industrial chemicals, living down stream from west valley, the hexavalient chromium issue, etc. I mean, I know I am paranoid south stuff like this but we all agree the great lakes water is pretty gross.

Tifft Nature Preserve
Seeing as the car is on its last leg we decided to stay close by and headed to Tifft Nature Preserve. Only in Buffalo do you head to a landfill/nature preserve for a day out I'm the county.
The best part was having little chickadees land on my hand. I felt bad that I had no food in my hand but they don't allow it. Clearly people do as they were all over me.

Crappy Weekend
Its like being a doctor on call with no other doctors around. I handle all of my own issues and then everyone comes to me for their own. I need an assistant so bad. I asked for one. Let's hope there is money for it in the budget in April. Honestly, if I don't get one - I give myself two more years and I am finding another job or having a heart attack.
A picture is worth a thousand words. This is how I feel.

Fat Bobs Pig
To me smoked wings are a million times better than fried ones. I can also eat a lot more of them as they are not so greasy.
Then for the main course I had the smoked half chicken with collard greens and fries. Also delicious although once again, the meat stuck to the bone much more than at one eyed jacks.
I think my favorite part is the skin. I could probably eat a whole meal of chicken skin which is precisely why I love chicken legs and wings.

Coconut Gelatto and Brown Rice
I decided to combine the cooled brown rice with icecream. I suppose it draws inspiration from rice pudding and add a good amount of fiber yo the dessert component of my meal. This one is coconut gelatto based.

Forced Air - Furnace Filter
I wonder just how expensive it would be to convert to modern radiators. Anyone have any experience with this.

Colors
People seem to like it because out of the ~1,500 people that use a computer each day, almost 1,000 chose a color.
You would be surprised at how many people pick hot pink/peach and bright oranges. There are even a few hot sea foam greens. To be fair there are many more woman, but even some guys have pinks and purples.
Its funny because the corporate push/marketing designers would be for corporate blues and boring greys but clearly, the people voting with colors picked much brighter hues.
This fire orange, I copied from (e:tinypliny) who had it for a while.

The saturated areas are the parts you kind of ignore, like you links to most used content, etc. The white space is then focused on things like the search and content areas.
You can pick pastels too but I really like the bright colors.

Each one of those dots on the quilt represent a color swatch that people chose. The color scheme is from one of the users.

Today the videographer told me that my work is ugly because I am not a designer. Ugly is so subjective. The ironic part is I actually have an MFA in computer media studies. I wonder if he does?

The controversy is when people forget or are not very clear that the concept of "population health" is never the same as "individual risk". The dynamics and statistics operate differently in each group for good reason. If public health measures were based on individual risk, we would never have had vaccines, never had antibiotics, never had any public hygiene... the list would go on. And you can see how widespread the confusion is because there are groups of people who oppose vaccines, antibiotics, pasteurization and whatnot - all measures with evidence based benefits for population health.
I really need to make a detailed post about this. I think that would be good point to then agree or disagree with me. Because no science is perfect, I expect people to bring up logical fallacies in my thought and disagree. Should be interesting...
