Real Iron Work on 219 Near Springville

I am not sure what the name really is but I thought "Real Iron Work" based on the sign below. I should have snagged the location but I forgot.

On our way back to Little Rock City yesterday we stopped at that iron works gallery on the 219. They have some pretty awesome pieces. I wonder if the Griffis inspired them, or if they are the same people.

I want the tree house so bad. I always wanted a tree house but our yard has no tree house sized tree. I never considered building one.

I guess they like turles and tortoises too.

My love/hate of scenic boys blog

Caution with the link, it contains some non-sexual nudity but also a ton of awesome hiking pics and videos from the west coast more non-nude than nude.

Every once in a while I go back to and check out their latest adventures. They seem to always put mine to shame. Recently, they got back from Burning Man. I am entirely jealous. They remind me of the (e:Terry) and I from our pre-buffalo days but somehow they got a bunch of friends to join them on their adventures. Living on the west coast gives them such a tremendous advantage with adventure options.

That pic is from their adventure in may

Blind worship of Apple

PC mag has this article showing the new update to the iphone seems to slow it down more (e:matthew)'s iphone 3g has major speed issues since he first upgraded to iOS 4 so I was curious about the results of the latest update. Regardless of the test results being accurate or not, its comments like this that make me question the sanity of apple fanatics.

I've had my 2g since 1.0 and it gets slower with each update. Just yesterday I was telling my wife it took like 60 seconds to check a received text message.

With that said the iphone is by far still the best game in town.

Really joe? You think a phone that takes 60 seconds to check a text message ( a key phone function) is the best game in town. Sounds like you haven't shopped around very much.

Pork chops and pear sauce

I got to use the pear sauce with the organic grilled pork chops and Rosemary.

I topped it off with these amazing grapes. This type of grape is my favorite. They are dark green and similar in texture to Concord but the seeds aren't as bitter.

pear sauce

At around 10PM I started to clean the kitchen and make pear sauce. I didn't finish until 3am but the pear sauce looks and smells so yummy. I didn't have much choice about waiting because I was working with the broken pears that fell from the tree in the wind storm the other day and got damaged.

dragonfruit

Has anyone ever tried a dragon fruit. I could not get myself to spend the $6.50 but now I feel like I might have missed out on something magical.

These ones came from vietnam, but how crazy that is really native to central america and was brought to vietnam by the french.

The dragonfruit is native to Central America. According to Aztec literature, Pitahaya fruits date back to the 13th century. In Vietnam, where it is extensively grown, Pitaya fruit is known as thang loy. It is believed that the fruit was introduced to Vietnam by the French and today, the average yield per hectare is 20-25 tonnes.

Unbalanced

This is the back of a house near (e:Heidi)'s. Theft window placement is so unbalanced it makes me think it was larger before or something.

Swimming at the beach

I am so glad I got to go swimming. I have no pictures but (e:heidi,52672) , took some. Just like when it is warm out and the super shallow is super warm, today that part was super cold. Once it was deep enough to swim in the water was about the same as usual. The water temp doesn't fluctuate as fast as the air. It was so great to swim without the lifeguards present. You could actually go out to where you could swim instead of wade.

I really feel like they need to change the whole system during the summer. Make it swim in the lines in for protection or swim outside at your own risk. Even if it is 18 and over something but I would really like somewhere you could just go out and full on swim. Seems like every other city on water has beaches like that. It makes me hate Buffalo sometimes.
