People ask me how fast the internet is on my phone and I never got around to checking till just now.

Two days of mobl living

Yummy, 4 boxes of really fancy dipped chocolate cookies in silver boxes arrived from (e:hodown) in NYC
image

I went to my cousins graduation party in East Aurora. Their house is no nice with lots of land. It is a log cabin that they built back in the 80s. I still can't imagine living that far from the city. As usual we played boccie ball.

Missing Image ;(

Met a guy who was a Roswell patient and got cured only recently - he loved Roswell.

Speaking of Roswell. I Marie Curie at Roswell when walking to the server room the other day. She looked somehow different than I expected.
image

The other day I went with (e:Matthew) and (e:terry) to southpark next to the botanical gardens on route 62 in Lackawanna.

A crazy bug we saw of a type I never saw before, at least I don't think so.
image

Here is (e:mattehw) taking a picture of it too.

Went to go see Indie Arie at Thursday in the Square. I believe it was even more crowded than Pat Benetar for those of you that were there. They even closed off the square part way through and shut down the subway so no more people could come and it couldn't run anyone over.. I got stuck behind the stage most of the evning.
image

(e:eknot) knew some woman who had a store that had a bathroom so I went to go pee but some 13 y/o drunk girl went in before me and messed the bathroom up really bad. It was yucktastic.
image

Afterwards, I saw (e:ladycroft) and (e:nejifer) and we walked over to my house which took a while but we got to go past the new mansion. At 10PM (e:theecarey) came over and she came with us and then out to dinner at Panos. Then (e:theecarey) and I planned our business super universe and get rich schemes till about 4am. Someday you will be say, "Hey I knew those bizzilionaires when they were just estrippers, before they bought Disney and Microsoft"

We signed our lives over to the new house. Apparently, the patriot act has something to do with buying a house too.

Science and Sky Rises

Visitors to a major science exhibition are to help teach computers how to read confusion, mirth and other expressions. It is hoped that this will lead to the development of ways to help people with autism recognise emotions.

The thousands of visitors to next week's Royal Society summer science exhibition are being invited to take part in research with "emotionally aware" computers designed to mind-read by analysing facial expressions.

and then the truthful part ...

The developers hope that one day smart adverts based on their technology will be able to tell when passers-by look glum and try to sell them something cheering, from an anti-depressant to a holiday.

I hate shit like that

On a totally separate note, how bad was it in the 50-80s on Deleware and Linwood that so many mansions got replaced by really ugly high rise buildings?

It's so weird. It goes mansion, mansion, mansion, super freakin; ugly sky rise, mansion, mansion, mansion. This one is pretty ugly on Deleware but the worst ones are those teal, florida style ones near Canisius High School.

Freakin Pouring Out /Slut Dogs

Went to the Buffalo Hatch again with (e:mathew) and (e:terry). We saw (e:metalpeter) while there and hung out wioth him for a couple hours while we toured around the Hatch.

We went down to the beach part and I put me feet in the water only to look like 15 feet in front of me to see this half burried 50 gallon drum.

image

For some reason they have men's showers here. Who uses them? Did you used to be able to swim here?

image

I think this should be the univeral symbol for moblog.

image

At the hatch they have this map of the new plan for the Buffalo waterfront. There are areas for each ethnic group. Including even new carribean. They seriously have just about every ethnic group listed, new italy, new africa, new poland, etc but they forgot new ireland. Kind of surprised me considering Buffalo's history.

image

I think it is really digusting how all the fancy motorboats put so much oil in the water. There really should be some way of preventing this. It is mega digusting, there were all kinds of fish and birds playing in this.
image

image

image

Went to home depot to buy some stuff for the house and saw these new Disney rooms for kids that have the beds built into the walls.
image

image

Afterwards, we headed over to Target and they have a new series of slutty dog clothes. These clothes are really for dogs. I think it would be great if they had matching owner outfits.
image

image

image

image

I finally drank some ultra expensive fiji water. I would have the say it was the purest scam I ever experienced. I drank it and desani and the same time, and it tasted no different. They both have the same plastic aftertaste. I relaly think if it is "so" pure it should come in glass instead of plastic.
image

Pineapple plants are smaller than I expected.
image

EVerythign that look sfancy at Home Depot is made out of plastic. They even had plastic chandelliers. My thoughts on this is if you need a plastic one, maybe you don't need one.

image

Mike and I went out to get some electronic hookups for our old fashioned audio recording device. We are transcoding hundred of hours of audio from our family. I will post it to the web when I get it done.

image

It was pouring out, glad I missed the parkside garden walk.

Why has no one developed this area and what is the deal with the old photo gallery glass room. Was anyone in it? It seems like such a viable location being right at the end of chipewa.

Nice Day

Had lunch with (e:enknot) and (e:jenks). Anytime you wanna do that again jenks, I would be delighted.

image

(e:jenks) and (e:enknot) having my favorite kind of dorky discussion about computers and social networking.

image

Afterwards, I had a pleasant afternoon working on a programming project I not so fond of but am making the best of.

I worked a lot on this magicTable object for the project. That part was fun. I seem to never tire of javascript.

I finally asked my supervisor about getting a patent on one of my latest creations. I hope it works out.

On the way home there was this computer sitting on the lawn looking really sad. I hope they never put me outside like that when my technology is outdated.

Paul on the go

Don't step on lawn at Canisius High school the scumbags sprayed it but only have two little yellow flags that I didn't see till after I went through it.

I hope whoever made that choice dies of cancer.
image

Does anyone know more info about this?

image

This journal is about a lot of things. I kept meaning to post but I have been so freakin' busy and now I have a bunch of picture on my phone that need to go somewhere and I' in the car doin nothing so here it goes.

(e:terry) and I went to get the oil changed on Niagara Falls Blvd and had to waste an hour and a half. We decided to go shooping at the mall in order to buy some pants. I really only go there about once a year and let me tell you it changes a lot over time when you only see small time snippets of it each year. When I grew up it was mostly only white people with some black people at the mll. Today the mall has a huge cross section o all kinds of cultures. There were prob as many people from india and asia as there were black and whites. For a minute it seemed like a mall in toronto. I wonder if the population of these northern suburbs reflect that. I haven't lived or hung out around here since high school. When I went to high school I think there were one black person, one mulatto and maybe an asian person and a family of asianattos (irish and asian) and that was (e:hodown) and (e:lilho)'s family.

If the population has changed that much, I would say that the suburbs are more ethnically diverse than the city where it seems mostly black or white to me with the exception of the hispanic west side.

I know I am getting old now when all my clothing shopping needs can be met at Sears.

Who buys all these pre ripped in exact pattern jeans. It is sucha great idea for the company as they almost immediately require replacement.

image

image

I bought cyborg implant bluetooth headset at the wall so I don't have to touch my phone to my head.

image

Polish Water Ice - I wrote about it before never tried it till today. What we got was a cup filled italian lemon ice.

image

Frankly, I think the polish people that named this water-ice must have never tried lemon ice and thought they invented something new. Also, what the hell is up with that stupid name. Is ice not considered water in Poland?

Here is my theory. Polish people desperately wanted lemon ice but couldn't afford flavor so they told there kids it was a new yummy treat caled water ice.

image

Once in america they added flavoring agents and opened the stand in the mall. Here is their story:

image

Who are the people that make these animatronic setups. If it didn't seem so empty and meanginless I think I could enjoy that kind of job.

image

What is so weird is the televesion ont he side showing the event in real time. The even tyou are seeing in real time in full siz.e It makes no sense. According to (e:hodown) Kristina Kling's family goes to see this display every year. Those people can make some mean parmasean chicken wings and clams casino.

Posting from a blackberry

Well, not a real blackberry but a simulatd one that I am using to test my mobile code base for a project at work. Simulated devices are fun but not really the same feel as having the device in my hand.

The blackberry has a really nice ide for making applications. It even has a nice little SVG/animation editor and theme maker. Too bad I hate the keyboards on the new one.

I guess I still wouldn't mind getting to test it out on the real device. I just hope that RIM doesn't go out of business before.

Frankly, I do not know how people actually live without a camera or touchscreen on their mobile device.

Sprint Customer Service

I love my PPC 6700. It really can do everything I want it to. The evdo speeds on sprint are great but sprint customer service sucks really bad. Worse than any other cell phone customer Service I have ever dealt with. Both t-mobile and cingular had amazing customer service in comparison. With sprint I have had several situations where I was transferred 5+ times, each time being assurred that the next person was in fact a specialist for my phone.

Today I spent about 2 hours on the phone with them, in the end they just told me how to reset my phone. It worked. Why can't they tell you that upfront?
