The Movies are Lame

Those of you that know me, know that I go to the movies about once a year so this might be biased. In fact the last movie I saw was The Lord of The Rings 2 at the theater. Yesterday I was convinced to go see that stupid puppet movie called Team America. It was the worst piece of crap movie I have ever seen.

The Twenty
What bothered me even more is "The Twenty." Has anyone seen this? In the twenty minutes before the previews they play commercials for products like SUVs, TV shows, etc. It was crazy, at the end of the twenty, they recap and go through everything they talked about and say if you missed it make sure to come a full twenty minutes early next time so you can enjoy the whole thing. Instead of thanking you for watching their commercial crap, they are telling you how to better perform the observation next time. When did this start?

Not to mention that our snacks cost $22.75 and were worth a total of about $3.00 in terms of product.

What Happend This Weekend

So much happend that I couldn't even keep up with my journal for once.

First it was (e:lilho) 's 21st birthday which brought (e:hodown) to town and for those of you that know her, you know it means a weird mix of relaxing and stress. Kind of like sweet and sour, haha. But she is part Chinese so that makes sense in a way.

So I forgot that my account at the server that hosts elmwoodstrip.comm ran out on Sunday, the same time the elmwoodstrip.org server was being updated. So I had a window of about 5 hours to move it all on Sunday after a night of partying. That was oh so fun, it wasn't just a simple move to a server with the same setup, it was huge switch, changing platforms and PHP versions. It was harrowing but luckily I had practiced with the new version of PHP on my laptop's mini server and on the buffalo.kicks-ass.org server so I kind of new what problems to expect.

(e:hodown) tried to kill me with smoke inhalation during the middle of programming but I was able to get through it and add google services to the search. Now if you search for say "checken" and no results come up on the site it asks you if you meant "chicken," it also gives you ten google results for what you are searching for. Basically the search is much better now.

There are so many new surprises and capabilities that will come out now that we have a new server with lots of new modules to work with. I have to go finish working on stuff right now.

Hail the Hale

It poored down icey slushiness for the first time on elmwood this year. I was going to take a picture of it for you all but (e:matthew) lost the extra battery for our camera and the other is charging so that isn't happening.

Political Voice Mail

I really cannot stand political junk voice mail. Is anyone else getting this trash on their phones. I really think that it should be illegal. I have been thinking about cutting my phoneline once and for all and this just adds to that feeling. It is so expensive to have a phone. I think we pay $40/month with no extra services and I honestly answer/listen to the phone only 1 in 20 calls. You could have a sweet cellphone plan for that much money.

We dropped (e:terry) off at work and then headed down construction filled Union rd to JoAnne's Fabric to get more paper for (e:matthew) 's papercutting projects.

Holy crap, the bill was $54 dollars.

Pano's is a popular topic

There are 66 entries which invlove the word "Pano." He is really a popular guy I guess. (e:iriesara) said that he is not kosta's cousin as you suggested (e:hodown) . So does anyone know the truth of the matter? In the search right now almost every search query [search] pano[/search] is about Pano it seems.

Sewing Up

So here I am sewing up my avatars crotch area. If you think about it in a most figurative way, it has disturbing implications. Should I sew her up like a barbie doll. I am starting to feel bad about it. I really hate 3D right now. I wish I could just go back to programming and ignore the whole thing.
