Zooey at the Grainmills Art Show

We went over to a dance performance and art show in an old grain mill. The location was awesome and the dance was pretty interesting. It was too dark inside to get any good pictures but it consisted of zombie like people dressed garbage and some crazy giant trash princess. I enjoyed it a bunch. Zooey was scared of the dark at first but by the end she was smiling and clapping.

Elation June 9, 2012 - Dancing at Dingens

Just this morning I was thinking to myself, why hasn't there been another party at Dingens Bar and Grill? The last one I attended was so fun. Then I saw this flyer. Not only is there going to be one. Marty McFly is playing. You can see the lineup below. Hopefully this time I can get more people to go with us.

House with a moat on linwood

Buffalo rising had this article a while back about a house with a moat. While down there with my mom for the Linwood Home Tour, we decided to check it out. Its interesting to see its lined with logs. I guess that could be waterlight like a barrel but not in that condition.

Makes me wonder if I could do that for a pond.

Mr. Bloody Brains

After the home tour on Sunday, (e:matthew) fell down outside and hurt his brain. He had brain surgery and seems better at this point as he is out of the ICU. He can talk and although he is missing some memory from last week, he is generally still (e:matthew). Its amazing how much a fall can mess you up. I am so glad I called an ambulance instead of letting him lay down and sleep like he wanted to. Strangely there was no cut on the outside but his brain was bleeding from the inside.

To be honest visiting him today was hard to take. He had this bottle of brain blood connected to his head where the blood was draining out. I am not sure I will ever be able to get past that.

I hope he recovers quickly.

First Fire of The Year

Went up to zoar for the day yesterday. (e:yesthatcasey) and I spent a lot of time in the water. The current was pretty swift. We found this man wandering down the creek with no shoes. Turned out his kayak got away from him and he lost his brother. By the time we got up to the parking lot, every type of law enforcement was there to search. Hope they made it out OK.
