Funky Monkey

We hit up funky Monkey last night after watching (e:terry) play Dragon Age Inquisition for about 15 hours. Had a big group hug out on the back patio with rat boy in the middle. I kind of wish we started the night a bit earlier.

Samsung Galaxy Gear VR

The galaxy gear VR that (e:terry) and (e:joe) got me for christmas is so cool

With all the years I spent working on 3d and VR stuff I never thought it would be as simple as snapping my phone into a headset. In fact, I can remember back in 2003 when my friend jesse told me he saw some cell phones with 3d graphics in Japan and I was blown away. Like ya sure, 3d graphics in a cell phone. Now the phone is the guts of a VR experience that is totally emersive.

Even my mom thought it was cool and she is not very into tech. Now I want 3d cameras so bad. I wish I had something like Samsung project beyond before my nonna died. Imagine capturing a fully emersive hologram of someone telling family stories.

Chennai Express on Pearl Dowtown

There is a new south Indian place downtown. The place us a but of a home in the wall but the food and service is great. I will definitely be going back. I had the lamb palak. The dosas were great too. Check it out.

Buffalo Pedal Tours - buffalopedaltours.com

We went on the maiden trip of the buffalo pedal tour beer bus over the bridge that goes to General Mills. They wanted some strong bikers to test it and (e:joe) got picked by Henry at Go Bike. (e:terry) and I tagged along. It was really awesome. I think anyone could have fun doing this. Especially in the summer. It was not to difficult at all and just watching all the people stare at this crazy party bike bus coming down the street is fun.

We stopped at 716 along the way and I had a Manhattan. It was actually really tasty although I can't say I love sports bars.

Squeaky Wheel Fund Raiser

This year was much tamer than last year. Oe I should say I was much tamer. The Market Arcade venue was really great as we're the DJs. The venue was almost too big with all the floors. It seems like it might have been better to just have 1 floor and have the drink tickets closer to the drinks and the gambling tickets closer to the baskets. I also think the event could do with some salty/carb based drinking snacks like pretzels or chips.

Holy crap, we cleaned up the prize baskets. I think we won 7 of them. Not so much by luck but by sheer ticket volume and the fact that not a lot of other people were betting at the volume we were. It was almost embarrassing to win so many times. I now own a whip, some clothes, gift certificates to a lot of places, a asian manger, two womens dildos lol, some scarves, a purse, some earings, hydraulic hearth restaurant gift cert, some lesbians porn with nuns, some skin care supplies, dog bed and snacks, and a laser plastic surgery $250 gift cert.

We actually gave away a lot of the prizes. I collected some of the remaining ones into a picture.

I finally won the thing I actually wanted, the laser plastic surgery gift certificate I wanted so bad last year. I have this little capillary I hate on my lip. Discussing with everyone, no one else ever noticed. Now hopefully, I won't have to notice it either.
