Giving Up Bacon
That's right! You heard it here first, i am giving up bacon for lent. Now bacon may seem like something easy to give up cuz how often oculd someone really eat bacon? But i find prolly on average i eat it at least once a day since some days it is in every mael i eat. I really don' tknow if i will be able to do it. What is a chicken finger sub without bacon? What is a hamburger without bacon? What is a candy bar without bacon? We'll see how it goes, i guess lent is only 40 days anywya. IN the past whateveri gave up for lent i kinda got over and was not so obseesed iwth afterwards, my arteries are hoping the same ting happens with bacon
'
now ireally feel the need to go out and party tonight for mardi gras, and mourn the passing of my bacon days!

i could give up bacon for a while...as long as i can still have sausage. wait, that sounds weird. i really do love sausage though... chorizo, italian, polish, soul sausage...mmmmm!

I find this disturbing. I don't know why anyone would ever voluntarily deprive themselves of bacon.
Mayo - sure, fried stuff - see ya later, chocolate - eh alright. BUT BACON?!!!!!!!!

3 things:
1. Chicken finger sub with bacon?! Genius.
2. Someone at my work made bacon infused vodka. Not as good as you'd think.
3. I thought you were giving up bacon for good and I was worried. Glad it's only for lent!

Haha I've actually never heard of bacon on a chicken finger sub...but I'm sure it would be delicious. Actually I'm so impressed with your choice that I think I will give up my bacon equivalent...no Raisinets for 40 days!!!! I decided it tonight when an entire bag spilled in my purse. It was a sign from the heavens that Raisinets should be out of my life. I don't know if I can make it...

If there's a bourbon chicken, a vodka bacon using the other white meat is probably not far fetched. I gave up bacon/pork for life and managed to survive; just barely, though, as won ton soup was like my most favorite food ever and I had to give that up.

You should celebrate with bacon infused vodka (which I am totally going to make).
So the commercial for what is coming up next on the news is "HOW POMEGRANATES ARE BEING USED TO FIGHT TERRORISM!"-- i have to see how the heck that is!!! i'll update when i fin dout
i just realized i never update this. They are used to fight terrorism because they are growing them in Afghanistan and they make a lot of money for farmers so they don't grow drugs so they don't funnel the drug money to the Taliban. I'm not really sure why they don't end up funneling the pomegranite money but next time I buy POM (which i have actually never bought ) i will think, "this just tastes just a little bit terroristy"

You chew the fruit and load the seeds into a catapult?
SO continuing my video to DVD conversion I foudn the most random tape. It has the news clip from when (e:paul) and (e:iriesara) did a sleep out at kenmore city hall to raise money for the homeless, a little clip of an old batman tv show, the music video for Joy ride, the music video for Losing mY Religio IN TWO DIFFERENT PLACES ON THE VHS, Pee Wee Show, The scene with the trucker lady from pee wee's big adventure, the scene from ferris buellers day off where the car goes over the cliff and a couple clips from happy days, soooo random! oh and this random max pies commerical where a man is like seductively rmeoving his shirt while promoting good carpets
So i am in the process of converting our VHS tapes to DVD but the only way to do it is to actually plya ll the VHS tapes, which is fun to see all these old videos. All i know is I just yelled out at my 8th brithday "yeah of course I have troll pants!" , the Debbie Gibson moment (you all know what i'm tlaking about) must be coming sooN!
So i have kept wanting to post but then not feeling like it by the time i got to the computer but this juts has to be posted. I WENT TO EAT A DELICIOUS PLUM yesterday and it was weird because I swear soon as i picked it up i just had a feeling of dread about it but i started to eat it anyway.......and as i am pleasantly chomping my way through i look down and there is like a hole near the pit and curled all up in there is a little white worm like creature! EWWWWW! I don't think i ate any of it because it was just little and in there, but maybe there were more and i ate them. End of that story is i am not just eating into fruit anymore i am thoroughly cutting and inspecting it alL!!!
Once I ate one of those oversized grapes and it had a grub like giant white plump bug inside. I bit the grape and the bug in half. When I realized, it was too late as I had already swallowed. Now I more carefully inspect grapes.

I was really thinking today how much I would like to own my own store. I would love it. I am not sure what kind of store, prolly knick knacks cuz that is what i know and love. Maybe a bar/knick knack store. Me and rachelle at work have talked about opening a bar called Drinks and Trinks where you get like trinkets with your purhcases, like you can buy a value meal of like a vodka cranberry and two shots and you get a free toy like a happy meal. I tihnk it could really work well, haha. Well i do really want to own a store though but the whole idea seems so daunting!
Do we still have our old "blueprints" from sophomore year??

Just be careful and learn you blue laws and Liquar the reason I say this is I think if you sell it you can't sell much else. The law might change though because Paterson wants stores to be able to sell wine. I think if that law changed then you might have to do something to change the law so that Liquer stores could compete with them. I guess their highest profit margin is on wine. I do have an idea for something you could sell. Some drink has a worm at the bottom of it, what about drinks with gummy worms in them or an alcohol store and a Candy store?

a very nice variation on the 'if you buy enough drinks you might get to sleep with the bartender' theme.
So I always had my dad's tax guy do my taxes too cuz he would just do it in addition to my dad's and so it seemed easier that way cuz then I didn't have to do anything. This year I decided I was going to do my own online, and was super nervous about it. I had planned on doing it with (e:terry) the irs workers supervision but then on sunday just decided to see if i could do it on my own. HOly heck, it is so easy, I mean of course I have really simple taxes since I make like no money, have no dependents, property etc. But still it was way easier than I imagined. I used taxslayer on the recommendation of someone at work and it was super easy and free for both federal and state taxes. This is also the first time I did the automatic deposit so I should have my refund in 10 days. I really like getting checks in the mail and so I didn't ever like doing it that way, but i really want my money now. Well hopefully I did it all right and will not be arrested for false tax claims or something> I am still kinda nervous that will happen.....wish me luck

I've used taxact.com to file my and several other people's taxes for the past six or so years. Super easy and way cheap! :::link::: has lists of free efiling sites. Some coordinate with NYS free file to make it entirely paperless & easy so look around. Most people can file for free. In taxact.com, if you want them to save your data year-to-year, there's a fee. In my opinion, for anyone with just W-2 income, you should be doing it yourself, even if you have a mortgage. Really, it's just a matter of seeing what forms you have and putting the numbers in the matching boxes. (It's asking for box 7. Look, right on the piece of paper there's box 7! type type type) The web software does all the rest for you.
H&R Block is a total rip off. Do NOT use their refund system in particular. You earned all that money, you should get your whole refund back, not give them 10% or whatever it is this year. With direct deposit, you'll have your refund in 8-16 days anyway, so just be slightly more patient! And everyone should check for Earned Income Tax Credit eligibility, especially people with dependent kids.

That makes me nervous. I get anxiety attacks filing my tax paperwork. Its got more and more complicated what with the institutions I am now affliated to and different "status" at both. Ugh.

So (e:maureen) was raving about the documentary Young at Heart about this community center senior citizen chorus in Boston where the average age is 80 years old and they sing rock songs. She loved the documentary and had seen them in person. She built it up so much that i thought for sure it oculd not be as good as she said but it was! AND BETTER! It seriuosly is so happy and sad and inspiring and entertaining. it is like everything a documentary could be. The scene in the jail is so heartwarming. It was voted the number one scene in a movie for 2008 by newsweek!!!seriously watch it!
I have to admit, I love old poeple in general so I am a little bias but i seriously do not believe anyone could not like this movie! My parents just watched it and loved it too! IT is so good!I recommend it to everyone. It is in th enew releases at blockbuster and i'm sure it is on netflix and everything too, it just came out this year!!! here is the trailer
I don't want to put any more clips cuz i want you to see the whole tihng, it is so much better as a whole!! i mean you can watch clips on youtube but the whole thing together is so much better and in context!

Have you ever considered volunteering at a nursing home? You would probably love it!!
Those of you who know me know my family has sorta a lot of family things over the holidays and then when you add in my holidays with various friends and (e:libertad) it ends up to be a lot of christmas celebrations! Well tomorrow is the official end of the season for me. Me and (e:mk) are going to the Eastern Hlils Mall like we do eveyrwhere to exchange gifts, eat some bad chinese food prolly and scope out sales and sauciness. It is really a great tradition, that mall is like the basis of ever5ything me and (e:mk) stand for. It is empty and 80's style and now it got a makeover but is still really not graet and i love that about it. YOu can always get good deals cuz stuff gets to clearance cuz noone shops there. All in all a great christmas season!!! p.s. thanks (e:matt) for letting me borrow your white chrimstas tree to make the perfect late christams for me and (e:libertad)!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.P.S. I learned in a n awesome book that (e:libertad) gave me that Lord Byron saved the pubic hair from each person he slept with in an envelope with their name and the ocllectio njust dissappered in like the last decade! good to know
That's Soul Sausage. It's actually pretty good.
