Just Hit Me

So every Monday I work two jobs and get home at 9, so does my mom. Full day Mondays for both of us has been going on for a while and when we get home after work me and her always eat and watch tv together, (usually castle during the tv season and whatever is on in the summer). My dad watches tv with us too and we all catch up on how our day was and just things in general. Even though I live at home that is really one of the few times during the week we are all together at the same time. It may sound dorkyish but I really love that time with my parents just relaxing and eating and watching tv after a long Monday. It just hit me last night that there is only 1 left before I move out , and then it hit me that I am really moving out. Its weird until that moment last night it almost felt more like I was going on vacation as compared to moving out. Even though I have packed mostly everything I own, it still didn't seem real and then all of a sudden it did. I am super thrilled moving out with (e:libertad) and to have my own place but it just struck me about how much I am going to miss about living here. Its been a pretty great 27 years I think, and I am definitely going to miss it!

garage sale rain out

this is what happens when u have a downpour during a garage sale. everything has to be smushed from the yard to the garage. whatever is left in 2 hours is going to amvets so come get it super cheap while it lasts

Garage Sale Day 1

Well today went swell. It realy did. Lots of people showed up and they bought quite a bit of stuff. We can definitely use less tables and chairs tomorrow. I was really pleased. People came so early...like at 730 when it starts at nine and then they were digging thorugh all the boxes which made it harder to set up and everything but all in all in went well. Lets see what happens tomorrow.

giving up my cd wall dream

So I always dreamed of having a huge cd wall in my apartment one day. I decided to join 2011 and am going to burn most of my cds onto the computer and then get rid of them. These 82 though I decided I can't part with. They are ones I like to pull out and listen straight through or have some special meaning and just can't part with at this time. You are probably thinking 82! that is not really getting rid of many cds then but I am probably getting rid of at least 82 other ones if not more

The Garage Sale is Coming

So my garage sale is this Saturday and Sunday (August 13 and 14) from 9-3 at 309 Tremont Ave in Kenmore. I have spent so long going through all my years of collecting and so has my mom. I feel like we have so many little things and bigger things. It really has been so many hours. I am getting nervous now that noone will show up. That would be devastating. I hope shoppers come in hordes. It is a lot of work and it would stink if noone came. I feel like there is definitely stuff people could want. I advertised in the Buffalo news, craigslist, my work craigslist, here , facebook and will hang some signs around Kenmore the day before. I really really hope people show up. Need housewares, chotchkeys, stuffed animals, books, games, toys, dishes , a printer or more? Well then 309 Tremont is where you better be this weekend!

Letters and Cards From College

So as I'm cleaning out my room , tonight was go thru the drawers of cards, letters, etc. Of course I am not getting rid of really any of them but separating between leaving at my parents and taking with me.

It is really great to read back through cards and letters from my friends especially from when we were in college or when teres and jill moved away. It really takes you back and something about reading it in a letter instead of an e-mail is great. Like I feel like since you had to write it out by hand you made it better and only more important stuff or something where emails are more every detail of stuff that is going on . Well I loved it and it brought back some memories

BUT...I wish everyone dated things. I realize I never do but I am going to start. I never date cards or letters or notes but I am so grateful for the people who did because some I relaly can't place when they are from. So I have learned my lesson and will date everything I send in the future.
