deal alert

these potatoes which are great for a quick potato dish at dinner and are delicious are being discontinued at tops so they are 1.49 and there is a coupon on the frozen food door for a dollar off any mccain product making them just .49 each ! usually they are 2.99. the title of this journal should be steal alert not deal alert with deals like that !

I'm becoming quite the chef if I do say so myself. I try to cook dinner a lot more now and it usually comes out ok. today I made a delicious dinner of roasted asparagus, grandma Molly's shrimp, garlic bread and rice . yummo !

Out Of It

So at work I do the bulletin board each month. I decorate with random holidays like national high five day and talk like a pirate day and upcoming work related events and birthdays and stuff and then often cover it in a coat of glitter. Not spray glitter, one time I used spray glitter and the office reaked for like a day and a half so no more of that ...anywho...that is all just preshow for this story

So today I was putting up the new bulletin board and I put some stuff up (obviously a few days late as march ended over a week ago) and I was like Hey everyone now it's officially May. Except it's not , it's april but I had done May on the board because I am losing my mind..

..and then I went to wasabi to pick up a teriyaki beef box for lunch and on the way back just drove right past my office and started on my way home. I had actually gotten on the 33?scajacuda?thruway?90? I don't even know the names of fast roads anywho I got on at which point I realized "OMG I forgot (e:casey)" and then realized OMG I am supposed to still be at work so I had to get off and call my boss and go back to work and be like I toatlly just started driving home...

...i have no idea why I was so absent minded today, it was really insane, god knows its not because my life is too hectic, if anything it is the complete opposite lately.

Centerpieces

I realized I have not been devoting nearly enough time to the upcoming nuptials of (e:paul) and (e:terry). I started thinking about centerpieces and here were some I found online, ok I don't think any here are particularly awesome but I feel like they cover different kinds/categories and we could start narrowing it down!

Walks

As I've probably written about before I love taking walks from my apartment to around downtown and back. I have no done any over the winter and so the last two days which were so nice I took like a 10 mile walk or soeach day. It felt so good to be outside and be walking but now my legs are so tired. I am definitely out of shape. Anywho that is not event he main part of the story.

There is a plaque downtown about a greek settlers candy store, its by the Bison's stadium. Anywho it got me thinking. You never hear about Greek immigrants in the story of Buffalo's histroy. Like I know there are greek people here, and greek restaurants and greek churches but you never hear about the Greek settlers. Was there a Greek part of town like the west side was italian and kaisertown was Gernman and what not. Anybody know?

Pounding My Meat

I really love pounding meat. Tonight I made lemon pepper chicken but first I pound the chicken breasts thin and then season them and cook them. I guess its mostly just chicken that I pound. But seriously pounded chicken is just so much better. I feel like it tastes better, it cooks faster and is juts much mor delicious. Plus pounding that meat really gets the stress from a long day of work out. I just have to make sure it's not too late so I don't wake up the baby downstairs.

Happy Birthday Paul

Happy Birthday Paul! Just as I was then I will always be your younger brother tagging along and trying to be the center of attention but today is your day! I hope at least if you have to get a root canal , you get some good pain medications as a consolation birthday prize! I think Sara singing this song really sums it all up..
