That Blu My Mind

Last night we went to Blu for the first time. For some reason that place has always been some place we really wanted to go but never did. It seemed like anyone who we had ever met hung out there. So last night we decided to go . It was ok, there were some break dancers, but otherwise very few people were there which was sad. I guess it couldn't really have lived up to the expectations in my head. Next time I think I'll try Saki (sp?) although the bar tender made it seem not too pleasant or worth it but the bottles looked so fun!!!! Regretted going out a little this morning while at work where everything made me feel like throwing up. Thank god for old ladies that tell me I'm a nice boy and so helpful. They brighten my slightly hung over mornings. Sorry for the title stupidity but I couldn't think of anything else.

Mafia Mama

I was talking to my mom about the Sopranos the other day and she was telling me how she wouldn't want to watch it because it stereotypes Mafia people as violent and swearing. And I was like "you mean Italians, becuase I am pretty sure that the mafia is violent and probably they swear a lot" And she was like no I mean the mafia. She espoused how there are a lot of not so bad people in the mafia and they aren't all violent and mean. Hmmm... not many people would try to argue about the goodness of the mafia...not many....except those involved....i still think my parents are just waiting until my 21st birthday to tell me the truth about our "family" connections.

What else would explain the time my dad drove through a park just to hit a man with his car and then proceed to get out and beat the man up. At the time I just thought it was good clean fun, but now I'm not so sure.

Spelling Bees and Butchering Pigs

Last night we rented Spellbound which is a documentary about the National Spelling Bee. I know it doesn't sound exciting but it was really funny and good. I felt a little bad for some of the contestants whose whole life was spelling and then they lost such as the kid who had 1,000 people praying for him 24 hours a day in India to win. His dad said he would feed 5,000 people in India if his son won. Now I hope those people were not like starving and that he just meant a party because otherwise it is just mean to deny them food after they prayed 24 hours a day even if his son did lose.

My Nonna explained to me and Paul how to butcher a pig, goose and chicken. So the next dinner party I throw will start with the butchering process. MMMMMM MMMM Good.

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT, and you should be able to celebrate however you see fit. It is your birthday after all. I hope you have a great one.

Last night, I used my brother's ID for the frist time. Every other time I have had it wiht me they didn't ask for ID but last night at the bar on elmwood and bidwell whose name I can't remember they did and I passed. Woohoo! Although I was in a weird mood yesterday and not so St. Patrick's Day spirited.

Today is Jill's 21st birthday so if you see her buy her a drink or two, heck buy her a dozen. And continue to buy her drinks for the next few weeks. Last night me, teres, yosepha, and other mike went out for her birthday and saw Mates of State and they were good. They reminded me of Ace of Base no matter what anyone else says. I think I might buy their cd.

Slideshow Insanity

First, I'd like to say I like all these new updates, especially the last ten updaters thing that says who updated most recently. It's good to see who updated yesterday but I didn't read and there star was gone cuz it is a new day.

Right now I am watching the slideshow/video montage I made for me and my friends after highschool and it is really good. Not like in a tooting my own horn since I made it kind of way (ok that too!) but like I mean I haven't watched it in a while and it was fun seeing it again. Yes it is a two hour behemoth of a video, but how could I pack all our years of fun into anything less?

It's Up To You To Make It Happen

Do you ever think like everything is working against your goal and you just think maybe it is time to give up but then you get another chance. But then you waste that chance and just are like eh there'll be another chance. Well I do that all the time and I think it is definetely time I start to realize there may not be another chance and need to start just going for what I want.

Spring Break Fever

Two more days of classes and then SPRING BREAK!!! Thank god for undedicated teachers who cancel classes on the Friday before spring break, making it come that much sooner. Not that I am going anywhere exciting in particular but just being off of school is exciting and Jll's birthday, and Maureen will be home and St. Patrick's Day and who knows what else. Too much excitement for one boy.

It's 3:05 AM ?

So I thought I could be the first person to have a star today as it is only 3:05 AM but lo and behold I get here and four other people already have stars. Well I am trying to do two homework assignments that are due tomorrow and of course I am procrastinating to the fullest. I finsihed like a rough copy of my paper on Reyataz the HIV drug but now I need to write an opening sequence for my movie and describe my character's locale. Rigth now my movie for scriptwriting belongs in the crapper. It is like just a bad idea infused with extremely worse ideas. There is something about the class that just makes me produce my worst creative work ever. Eh, at least I'll pass. She can't fail me for bad ideas. Ok that's all for now, its back to work I go.

Roomates/Apartment Happenings

So I really really need to move out of my house. Each day there is more arguing and/or I become more like a 50 year old and so it is really becoming an emergency. Jill and I were going to get an apartment this summer but now she is most likely shipping off to Sri Lanka instead. (Wow that totally doesn't sound real but she really is planning to study abroad there). I also had a prospect for an apartment in January but I cannot wait that long and frankly I don't trust that that would actually happen especially since what is going on recently as in I don't really actually talk to the person anymore.

So it looks like I may need to get a single apartment but I am not really sure I can afford that but it really is time for me to move out. So if anyone knows of cheap single apartments (preferably around elmwood) or people looking for a roomate (or no prolly I actually don't want to live with someone I don't know or well maybe) let me know.
