multi-colored nails

rather than getting into complex educational topics, i choose to post my nail color of the moment.

i painted them pink, purple, and dark blue so it faded into the darker colors and topped it off with gold shatter. kinda cool.

i am going to change the color tomorrow night, i hate chipped polish, and i have to keep my nails painted to keep me from biting which is the worst nervous habit ever.

plus, i kinda like having something colorful to look at while i daydream.

i am so on the fence about teaching. i love it one minute, and the next my mind goes immediately to grad school. columbia has an amazing OT program, but then i have two more years where i can't work, so i will keep it in mind and maybe switch my focus to behavioral management or something of the sort since i don't think administration would be my thing. resource teachers have a ton of flexibility as far as curriculum and they really help students a lot and get them to grade level performance, and they decide what they do... this is the best part of teaching because you can really get to know each student and help them as much as they need.

who knows... it will be an exciting year for sure.

i have an issue with wanting to make every teacher's room more beautiful and functional though.... hmmmmm. should i offer to help????

these are what you put on when:

1. you experience the coldest classroom ever and literally shiver for 8 hrs. this is my student teaching placement. have no fear, i will go tomorrow prepared to the max. i refuse to be cold in arizona as this makes zero sense.

2. you receive soul-crushing news and you hope that in the end love conquers all...

i really was having a great day minus being cold.

yo creeper, wazzup man?!

Kids say so much funny stuff...

Watching this 11 year old boy right now, his lil sis is already in bed.

He reminds me so much of (e:Paul) sometimes... He loves the computer and he's such a geek... But clever and witty.

Anyway, he's playing this game, minecraft, and apparently there are these 'creeper' things and he made his voice real low and yells out:

'yo creeper, wazzup man?!'

Sounds like something I would say...

Kids are the best.

buffalo, you iz crazy

And I miss it already...

Having family around and bunches of friends was very overwhelming at first and I kinda had a breakdown...

I'm so used to quiet time and solitude. Now I became used to it all and I'm sad... :o(

I'm pretty excited to get back to school though... I get to work with little kids this semester which is my fav.

Ill be back sooooooon.

5 dollar wireless is a decent deal.

pleasant flight, but my ipod and macbook might lose power soon.

i shed one fake tear.

peep these bose headphones.... quiet comfort noise cancelling. makes my life so much better..... best xmas gift eva!!!!

panic attack

most of my grades have not been posted yet and they are due tonight. this is really frustrating me... i worked so hard all semester... and all of my work has been submitted for three weeks so this is really ridiculous.

i also looked at the grade for one of my classes, and i will be getting a b despite getting full credit on most assignments. the reason why? i missed a few classes, and if you miss a more than one class, it is impossible to get an a. i think this is bs, because i did so well on all of my papers and projects, and i am being punished for missing a class for being sick, and another for having personal problems. this instructor canceled class because of personal problems, can i lower her grade?

my gpa will still be a 3.5, but i wanted to bump it up to a 3.6. it's frustrating when every semester you have that one teacher who makes its so difficult to get an a... i guess my goal for next semester will be to not miss any class.

i can still graduate with high honors, but i can only get one b over the next two semesters, and i am already stressed out about it so much. i'm not why i care so much... it may be a way of focusing all of my frustrations about the difficulties i've faced in the past year and giving myself something to focus on.

i can still graduate with a 4.0, but it's going to be a lot of hard work and dedication, and i'm ready for the challenge.

now, i want my grades possssted!!!!!

christmas is scary

there is a bomb in my sister's building at work...

my brother won't pick up his phone...

my mom gets more stressed by the day.

so, i changed my christmas wish to just having my family and friends safe and healthy, that's it.
