Artists and Models

We went down to the rock harbor Commons for artists and models. The space is really amazing for a show like this. (e:terry) sang in the Holly and Brian rapture choir rumble.

So many people I knew were there. Even (e:matthew) came out with cyndi.

I wonder if any other music shows happen at this venue. Once the concrete floor was a little slippery it was so fun to dance on. I wanted to take more pictures but I was constantly doing something.

Down by the river

Besides the drama with the deer it was an interesting trip down to Broderick park. I just can't believe how much garbage is down there. (e:libertad) said it was all clean from the river cleanup.

I found this stuffed animal mass grave from a memorial to the guy that drowned last year. While I think its s great idea to have a memorial there should be a requirement to clean it up when its decaying. Imagine if there was this much gargage around for every person that died.

(e:libertad) and I discussed the rocks and how people put them there. I still can't really imagine how they pile them up.

Deer stuck in the rocks

There is a deer stuck in the rock breakwall on squaw island. It a bit bloody and can't seem to get up. (e:libertad) called the spca. If anyone else knows who can deal with this. Here is the location.

Did the officers end up with lyme disease, or did the deer fall into the creek and drown? This is like a story without a denouement!!

libertad writes at 09:50:41 05/21/11 - Comment #62415: Paul got in contact with SPCA somehow and they promised to send someone out if he went back and saw if it was still there. When Paul went back he couldn't find it. I called channel 4 and told them it was taken care of.

We wonder now what the fate of the deer was?

I told him that I paged SPCA Wildlife Emergency Line and DEC Officer Wilson and that neither responded. I also let them know that the deer rehabilitation people were unable to assist. He said that he would see what he can do. I explained how it needed to be dealt with in some manner as it would be rotting in a popular fishing spot.

Melting Pot

It was fun but a bit expensive. I also found that I overcooked a bunch of the meat. As (e:Mike) put it, I prefer when someone cooks for me. By the end I was stuffed. The weirdest part was that our Booth was in an internet dead zone like those crazy commercials.

Lost my friends on allen

Everyone ditched me to play in this semi abandoned building that I once called the police on due to a massive fly infestation.

I am listening to some really bad keroki as the police stare me down for loitering. Oh Allen St in the summertime, how I miss you.

Seriously some woman said not to go in because there are needles laying around. Now my brother is calling my "pussypoo" for not going in.

Palak Queso Blanco

I didn't use a recipe but it came out delicious. Instead of yogurt I used coconut cream. (e:terry) friend the Queso Blanco into perfect little crispy cubes but I forgot to get a pocket. The queso blanco stayed firm like paneer but I thought it was slightly too salty compared to paneer

The hardest part was that my blender broke so I was forced to hand chop the spinich and use the mini food chopper which sucked. I imagine someone used to make this dish before blenders existed.

Youtube share link changes

I just noticed that youtube changed their link share url to youtu.be/video_id

This broke the youtube embedder in estrip if you were using the full url between the youtube tags as the youtu.be addr does not work as the movie param value or embed src value of a youtube movie.
