Long Work Week

I just finished a 55 hr work week. At least the upgrade is over. I need more money. I can't tell you how sick I am of intersystems issues that i really have no control over. Let the weekend begin.

Lexington coop trip - $27.39

Just to show I still support the coop despite the cauliflower incidence.

I spend this much there several times a week.

One gallon organic milk, 2 yogurts, 1 block Munster cheese, 2 packs of gum, 1lb ground Turkey (was only $3.99 and free range hormone antibiotic free), bananas, 1 cookie and 1pt of organic ice cream.

Tortoises Fight, Basra "Wins"?

I think its not going to work out with the new tortoise. Despite having a giant backyard to play in they find each other and fight or have sex. I don't think its going to be possible to keep them together indoors without one killing the other.

Strangely, when I got home it was the little one attacking Basra. He must have had a bad day because matt found him upside down in the pond pit when he got home. Sadly it seems that youtube cannot handle the video which is weird because it is totally normal on my phone and I uploaded twice with the same problem.

It wasn't long before he turned the situation around. What surprising is just how long they can have sex for. It must have gone on for over an hour. By the end he was foaming at the mouth and drooling. Its so weird because they never make any noise accept for that.

Prayer In The Park

We went hiking at Niagara Gorge the other day and the Christians had some prayer in the park thing going on.

I can't believe how loud they are. There were like 15 of them but with their loud speakers you would think it was for a crowd of 500.

Why is having a giant loudspeaker not illegal in a state park? I mean most of the people came there to visit the nature and you couldn't hear anything over their bullshit.

Welcome to outerspace

The location is awesome. There are three stories of dancefloors. One in giant theater with a massive vinyl dance floor. It is so perfectly slippery. Then they have an outdoor stage.

Sadly, although I am dancing I am wildly preoccupied with several other issues. Sometimes I wish I had the constitution to be a heroin junkie so I could just escape.

Harold's on Allen - Going out if business?

I wonder what happened. Even more so I winder what will go there. I hope another restaurant. I love having restaurants close to work and home.

I went to an antique dealer on Elmwood and Allen and there was nothing in the shop that cost less than $2,000. I asked him how he managed to stay open, he replied that 90% of his business is from selling pieces online. Local business? Harold curiosities shopped was one of the old style antique shops before the age of antique roadshow and eBay. You could go there and find actual antique pieces of furniture that were made and/or owned originally in Buffalo. Ask all the new antique shops on Hertle Ave where their stuff comes from, the answer is all over the county , from eBay. Harold could actually tell you where every piece he sold came from. Not just whether it was from Buffalo or East Aurora, he could tell you what family commissioned the piece to be made and who owned it up to the year it was sold off. You cant get that info from online shopping. I have a 1922 Mersman table that I bought from Harold for $175. he told me it was originally a piece from the Williams and Pratt Mansion (now know as the Butler Mansion at Delaware & North ( I didn't believe him until he showed me a photograph.)) and it means more to me than other piece of furniture I own.
