New Teeth

After the numerous fuck ups from WNY Dental I went back to Dr. Wood on Franklin. He is really my preferred dentist but its expensive because because my insurance doesn't cover anything there.

On the other end of it, the 3D milled teeth fit so perfectly it unreal and I went from consult to new tooth in about an hour.

The process is really futuristic and involves a lot of computing so I enjoyed it from that angle as well. They basically take a 3d sketch/measurement of the parts of remaining tooth. Then the cerec machine comes up with a general design to fit. Then the dentist custom tailors it and it gets 3D printed/milled right in the office. When it done milling they test out the fit, then they bake it in a kiln of some sort to finalize it and its adhered to the base of the remaining tooth. You can eat on it right away pretty much.

The crown that was replaced had already been redone twice and was flat, had multiple drill holes from redone root canal from when the WNY dental dentist missed a root and I had to get it redone by their endodontist. To top it off, it had a big pocket between it and the next tooth where debris would buildup after every meal and cause inflamation and cavities. Now it's a nice tight fit.

After the old crown was removed and decay was drilled out of the adjoining tooth.

Fourth Of July

We went down to the bike party at the outer harbor. (e:flacidness) and I got so close the launch site, it was amazing.

After we joined everyone else at the edge of the harbour until the police shut it down. It was fun to bike with (e:Mike) for once. I wish he would do it more.

The House My Mom Grew Up In

(e:mike) almost destroyed my phone over letting the demon escape from this picture. You can see her peering out the first room in the barn half of the house.

Thursday At Canalside

The music was pretty great. We danced our asses off. Also had a delicious buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. I wanted to get a pic but my hands were so greasy.

Buffalo And Toronto

For people of a certain age living in Toronto, the city of Buffalo once had a special aura. When I was a teenager in the 1940s Toronto was a capital of Puritanism and even movies were banned on Sundays. Buffalo shone like the gleaming promise of freedom, just over the US border. On a weekend when I was 13 three friends and I went there by bus, stayed in a hotel, drank one or two beers each, watched a strip show in a theatre and went home to tell our stories, arousing the envy of our less adventurous contemporaries.

Toronto Pride Saturday Night

It was a crazy evening. We met a lot of people and ended up at a Rochester/Buffalo party. Sadly the entire weekend is now scheduled for down pour and rain.

Swimming At Letchworth

On the way home from the wedding we stopped at Letchworth for a swim and to show (e:Terry)'s mom the wonders of the park. Was a great end to a great weekend.

Heidi and Dianne's Wedding

Unfortunately, I was kind of far from the action and almost all my pictures included copious amounts of photographer butt.

Cast and Crew

While in Mansfield, PA we stopped at Cast and Crew. Its a really great restaurant in the middle of nowhere in the most unassuming building.

The food was so good. I had a Cajun grilled shrimp Cesare salad, french onion soup and we ate Italian nachos. Italian nachos had mozzarella instead of cheddar cheese, marinara instead of salsa, and fried wheat crisps instead of corn chips.

I would definitely eat there again.
