Chateau Dufort-Vivens Margaux

On my birthday in January, back at Rue Franklin we got this amazing French wine. I wanted to get more so I got in touch with Jennifer Turner at City Wine Merchant

located on the 700 block of main street across from the Buffalo Police station. They were able to special order two bottles. The look of the labels is not identical to the one from my birthday but everything written on the bottle is the same. She said the seller was down to their last few cases making this delicious wine a rare commodity.

I also had a new retina ipad mini I picked up right before in my brief case but was biking. I had to choose which item rode protected in the leather briefcase and which I carried in my hand. The $800 ipad or the $80 worth of wine. I chose the wine and hand carried the iPad because it was lighter and still boxed in original packaging so that if it fell, the iPad was actually more protected and replaceable than the possible last bottles of this delicious 2008 wine. At least what I told myself, to make me feel better about it. If the wine had destroyed the fossil bag it would have been extra ridiculous. Luckily, it is all home safe.

Le Poutine Taco From Llyods

I get Lloyd's every Tuesday at work. This week the special was a poutine taco with beef, gravy, cheese and fries. It was pretty tasty.

Garage Roof

The flat roof is dying and is molded to death. The options are new flat rood, new A frame room or green roof. I want the A frame because it would give us a place to store things and because the chances of it leaking are so low. (e:terry) wants a green roof. For the life of me I cannot believe it won't mold, collapse, or leak. I am still waiting for the quote and details on that one.

Clean Air Coalition Dinner

We went to the Clean Air Coalition

dinner last night at Hotel Lafayette. They were the people that helped bring down Tonawanda Coke. It was a fun time. We ate good food and I won a massage gift certificate in the raffle.

Letchworth Trip

On the way home from Jones Pond we hiked the big bend trail at Letchworth on the more primitive side of park, then headed over to the touristy side for some sight seeing. I fell asleep on the grass laying in the sun. It actually felt like summer for a moment.

Jone's Pond

(E:flacidness), (e:Joe), (e:terry) and I all went camping at Jones Pond for the weekend. We met a lot of people and had fun, I just wish the weather had been warmer or that the pool was open.
