Hiking at the Niagara Gorge

(e:yesthatcasey) and I headed down to the Gorge for a hike on Saturday. Poor (e:terry) couldn't make it because he had to process taxes all day.

It was nice to spend the day relaxing in the sun and I got to talk through a bunch of stuff going through my head.

We saw (e:holly)'s husband Brian filming down there.

Lobster Fest 2013

(e:mike), (e:terry), (e:libertad) and I headed over to Red Lobster for lobster fest tonight. I find the food there tasty but overly salty. I enjoyed the Lobster Lovers Dream or something like that. So did (e:libertad).

I wish the pics weren't so blurry. I didn't check em after I took em.

We spent some time on Elmwood today and visited the Luca Gelateria at Bidwell. I had the panacotta gelato with vanilla. You should check it out.

Spring Flowers and Trash

A couple doors down from us is the back of the parking lot from an apartment building. They out up a wall and some landscaping but no one takes care of it and it always looks like shit other than some cutr mibi violets that grow all over the lawn.

Some of my neighbors use it as a place to pile trash all year long off of their own property. I can't believe anything thinks that is appropriate.

Burning Clippings

Last weekend we cut back the butterfly bush and all the stuff around it so that it could grow differently, plus it had some damage from the winter.

This weekend we burned a lot of the debris. Every year we burn the garden clipping and use the ash in the compost. I am so sick of getting smoky though. I think next year I am getting a small wood chipper.
