One complete but unpainted window

I have to wait 7-14 days for the putty to skim before it can be
painted. This is an insane amount of work. I have a much deeper
understanding of just how complex windows can be.

Almost done with window one

This whole stripping, sanding, priming, cutting glass, reglazing is
time consuming. Especially, considering the window is really made up
of 17 panes.

Also just got done painting the dormer we primed last week. It looks
awesome in dark brown like the house is carved from a solid block of
dark chocolate.

Well not my job specifically but the job I do. It even has a projected 45% growth rate over the next ten years according to CNN money

it seems like there are lots of IT and medical jobs on there. I guess healthcare is where it's at.

Who eats this shit

Someone I know actually bought this. It kind of blows my mind that
anyone would choose this inedible looking pizza sitting in styrofoam,
wrapped in plastic.

It's just one step away from canned pizza as far as I am concerned.

It means you don't have to have a scale and have someone weigh it then take it to the counter. Plus it also lets you change your price with ease. Veggies packaged this way are usually a BIG SIGN that they are not as fresh as the loose ones and that the shop is trying to sell them out by packaging them - they are probably last of the lot.

However, I know for a fact that Guercio's packages beans, peppers, snap peas etc. in these packages for no reason at all - because if you ask them for a bigger quantity that is not packaged, they easily bring that out as well. I have a suspicion that the packages are the last of a particular lot of vegetables but when you ask them for loose veggies, they open a new lot.

BUT, its in THAT hideous packaging - which I hate, even for vegetables. On top of it, the label implies that you could probably just pop it in the microwave, package and all - not a very responsible message.

Weird 24 hours

I was up late last night with the tortoise who was wretching up bird.

Then I went to work. I ended up getting into something that should take like 3 days but i didn't have three days so I compressed it into a 13 hour stretch with no lunch. In fact I just did not eat today and there is only a half hour until tommorow. I figured it was worth getting it over with so that I could actually have tommorow and the Monday holiday off without having to stress about it. That way I can work on the house this weekend.

Basra The sulcata tortoise eat a bird

Never having owned a cat this is the first time I ever had to deal
with one pet eating another. I just can't believe he ate the whole
parakeet. I took this picture at 2 in the afternoon today and you can
still see blue feathers in his mouth and arm scales.

It sos crazy because this kind of tortoise does not eat any meat. Well, to be honest I had one in the 90s and it ate a crow, so maybe they have a secret love for dead birds.

I can't imagine being eaten by a tortoise. What's worse is the other
bird in his cage 3 feet away witnessing the tortoise eat his buddy.

My theory us the bird didn't think the tortoise was a threat and got
too close.

Tokyo shanghai bistro lunch

I tried the lunch buffet today with (e:jon) and (e:enknot). It's only
6.95 and they had plenty if yummy choices. Most of them were meaty
although their are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. I also
got the bowl of wonton soup again. I ate like 100 clams.
