I had a great day solving this problem that was making me batty and decided it was time to paint something.



We were gonna go go out butthen we read the flyer and found out it would have been $30 but the three of us to go. Maybe we'll go out again in the fall, lol.

Searching the web

Has anyone seen google directories before, I somehow had missed them completely.



This totally revolutionizes the way you surf the web.

I am hopelessly working on a jpeg fixing filter for some corrupt jpegs from a cell phone. WHile I was poking around at the structure of a jpeg file I found this windows command-line program that strips out meta-data from jpegs. I ran it on a photoshop saved jpeg and it took 10k off the image. Thats a lot of extraneous data.

We got the giant retractable painting poll. It extends to 12 feet.
So I will be three stories up dangling from a rope weilding a giant
retractable poll? This landlording job seems more dangerous everyday.

So the remaining question remains what color. We decided to consult
with (e:matthew) about that first. They have this machine at home depot
that can take real life objects and tell you what color they are to find
the paint color you need. It judged terry to be deep topaz. It was
about the color of strong chai mixed with chocolate milk. For those of
you that have seen (e:terry), you can appreciate how poor that machine
judges color.

This was from last night, apparently, I was too drunk on chippewa to operate the sidekick. So the journal arrives now.



I can't believe I'm here at McMonkies. Luckily (e:julie), (e:mike), (e:amanda) and (e:terry) are here. Three for one drinksOn Thursday! You order one and you get three automatically for $3.50 (e:amanda) said once before she knew she ordered 3 and got 9. I would die. 6 is enough for me now, I actually had to put one down.



Where is (e:southernyankee) when you need her. So I am desperate for a cigarettes and no one has one but there are like 10,000 cell phones all blinking and lighting up. It almost looks like cigarettes. This bar is mega crowded.

They are having a ladies hot body contest for a $50 bartab. For some reason going out makes me miss cassie. Maybe I will call her tomorrow. She does just live right down the street.

I saw Aaron from our electronics class. He works at Jade and said we should come out on Friday night for house music. I'm down with that.

More Stuff from Nonnas

Today took so long. It is just ending now. I feel bad for my mother as she has to say goodbye to her childhood home. So I found copper pipe cutters and put them in the addict at our rental property. One day I will make a water shut off valve for the upper apartment.



Here are my hand in 1983. My grandfather really loved photocopiers like how I love computers. I wonder how much he would have loved scanners more.



We inherited a west German crystal swan punch/fruit bowl. It will be the centerpiece at our next dinner party.

Still Working on the house

Here I am still working on Nonna's house. Today I washed the windows for the new tenant. Who on Earth does that? My mother made me wash them. The house is still packed with stuff and the tenant moves in tomorrow.

My mother has the strangest priorities, like vacuuming between the matress and the box spring. Because the tenant is only paying $500, getting 2 weeks free, getting a furnished 3 bedroom and we are giving her the bed, multiple sets of bedding and two vacuums, I feel like she could do that herself. Not that I would ever do that for myself even. I think my mom should just shift prioritties to moving the crap out.

To make matters worse (e:matthew) to got in a fight with my mother. It was triggered by my mother insisting we have done nothing,which is clearly a lie as you can see by reading my journal. (E:matthew) actually put all his free time into working here just not in the way my demanding mother wanted. But, while I actually agree with him about most of the content of his argument, he could have just dealt with it better without yelling. They are both screamers. My father is too. I am at my last patient moment for screaming. In fact, this is preciselywhy IM is my prefered method of conversation. That is unless (e:twisted) starts "screaming" with her caplocks down,lol.

The tenant just got here and is already making excuses fornot having august's rent on time, but she did say she loves us like family - great.

i really should be sleeping now

But instead I am not tired because I slept too late yesterday
morning. All of a sudden I am very awake an thinking about all of the
things I have to do but have no motivation for. Tommorrow is the last
day working at nonnas before our tenant moves in.

The Study Of Creativty

So last night at about 11PM, we began our inquiry into the creative method as part of a study conducted by our neighbor Katie. She is enrolled in the Creative Studies Masters program at Buffalo State.

I am sorrry the picture for this blog were taken with my crappy sidekick1. Someday I will get a better phone. Basically, we were interviewed about a group problem we were having last week. The problme being, deciding on and moving into a home. The process involved lots of paper products. I probably wrote out about 130 post-its. I think the process really needs to be digitlized. In the end we decided on the home that we had decided on before, but we feel much more confident about the decision. Thanks Katie.















For part of the study, we had to look at these pics. After we completed looking at each level of the picture, we had to guess what we thought it was. For the first three stages I guessed the following.

1. Priests looking at Jesus


2. Priests looking at Jesus and a stained glass window.


3. Priests looking at Jesus dressed as a woman.
