I am so mad

I wrote this whole thing about kenmore [search]kenmore[/kenmore] and then turned my computer off before hitting publish. I guess it will have to wait, maybe any of the other kenmorons can start as I need to sleep so I can teach at 9:00 followed by a meeting, followed by work till like 7, followed by (e:mathews) birthday..

Valentino needs to go to the clinic

Valentino [search]valentino[/search] the baby tortoise really has an eye infection. At first I thought he was dry, gave him lots of baths, but now he itches his eyes like a human baby with pink eye. So I had to make an appointment for Saturday at 11:15 with Dr. Shadler atthe Sheridan Small Animal Hospital in Tonawanda.

I had been there before with a toroise of mine a long itme ago, and she was able to care for it really well. This was back in 1995. I hope Valentino quickly recovers. I hate to see him with his eyes shut all the time. It looks so sad, plus he has a hard time figuring out where to bit when he is eating. It is like raising a blind tortoise.

Sunny Day

It is so nice and sunny. The snow is going away but now it is replaced with mud. We are still a long way from green but it's nice to see the sun.

This picture inspired the new colors.

Lost in Place

So I am totally feeling lost in place. Everyday I seem to be on the verge of total standstill while I categorize and itemize my previous experiences in forms, papers, and collections. I am so ready to start a new major project but I have a feeling it will never happen at the rate that my life is being quickly sucked out of my eyes.

I have a couple really good ideas and I am ready to run with them. I also am really hankering to build some new stuff for this site. I wish someone would ride into town on a big shiny white supercomputer and take to place where there are no bandwidth limits and computers don't ever have to "think." How about you (e:twisted) ?

I know the best way to describe my state of being. It is like the printshop screen on a pre-mac apple when it would state thinking . .. and have these colorful vortex line borders. Maybe I just need an implant?

I cannot belive this real

The US Senate on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, voted to open the Alaska wildlife refuge to oil drilling. ...

I remember when I was younger, everyone would talk about alaskan oil - would they ever drill in alaska? We always assumed they would either rape and pillage the rest of the world or come up with a new source of energy. This is probably the biggest sign that our civilization is truly in decline. Next we are going to end up testing nuclear weapons on our own people. Oh wait we actually did that too. History of Las Vegas

On state matters it is interesting to note that the Nevada Test Site is located about 65 miles northwest of the City of Las Vegas . . . Prior to the signing of the Limited Test Ban Treaty on August 5, 1963, which effectively banned atmospheric testing of nuclear weapons, the Department's predecessor agencies conducted more than 1,100 nuclear tests at the Nevada Test Site.

More pics from the science museum

You all need to go check out the Steve Gerberich show at the science museum . Whoever does their site, props top you, it is actually quite nice looking.

The science museum is actually quite a curious place for this exhibit, as it seems more of an art museum kind of show. It is all about electronics and collections. Each piece seems to have some sort of commentary. For example the cow one, everything seems to have to do with the cattle trade including an electronic businessman with $ for eyeballs. His work, is actually quite entertaining and definitely larger than life.

For those of you that haven't been to the science museum in a while, the bug room is gone :(

Here are some more pics from the Geberich exhibit. My sidekick is working again, let's see how long that lasts.
