Old Media

I have been working on standarizing the old media on the site for days. I wanted everything to conform so I could stop having rules for old stuff and new stuff. I think I am finally done.

Here are some sound files I found in the process. The first one was the first ringtone I made for my sidekick. I was such a pain to figure out the right kind of file format to make it work.

::DOWNLOAD SOUND::

The other file was from a tour we made at the 567 on halloween. I am refering to (e:jill) here iin the bathtub.

::DOWNLOAD SOUND::

I also found all of the old pictures that (e:jill) had drawn and lost. At least I think so. I will email them to you.

I am gonna be 28 soon

I can't believe another year has gone by and soon enough I will be 28. I don't really mind being older, at least I didn't till I went to the hospital today to visit Nonna. She looked so sick and tired. They ripped the skin off her arm at the hospital and it is beyond painful looking. Her whole arm is purple.

To make it even worse, the woman next to her, who is supposed to be transferred to hospice, is really at the end. Not something to inspire you to recover. She has some sort of lung and body cancer and when I first visited the room I thought there was a coffee percolator over boiling. It turned out it was her breathing and then they had to come suction her lungs. I seriously thought I was going to throw up and (e:mike) was like, "come on let's get out of here." Even the woman's family left the room. Luckily for Nonna she was drugged up on pain medication and simply feel back to sleep. If I were her I would just go with the strong doses till she can get out of there.

I remember Ii used to have a lot to day about a lot of things. I hope once the semester restarts I can start thinking outside the "box" literally. I am actually getting sick of being a robot but only a little bit. I guess I would jut prefer if I could separate my mind and body. The body wants to run and play, the mind wants to sit and figure out puzzles. Unfortunately, it is hard to do both at once.

This picture is dark and crappy

Just like my life now that the wireless internet died mid-upload. At first it regressed from 54g to 11b then to 1b then 0k.

I am now tethered like a misbehaved dog to the wall. Luckily my leash is a 50 footer.

Sunny Day

Okay, it might be hard to tell in these pics but it is sunny out and I am washing the dishes.

You can see the sun on the snow as whiter bands and look the sky is partly blue.

Flagstaff

I miss flagstaff a lot. I wish I could get a job there. To bad the university doesn't have a digital media arts program. Maybe I could get into communications. I decided to paint a picture of it. This is my first painting so it's nto very good but it was fun trying.

Someday I am going to relocate to flagstaff, preferably before AZ runs out of water. Does anyone knwo anybody there. I would like to launch a journal site in Flagstaff but all the people I knwo who would be interested are gone.

Time to Sleep

I can't stop working on this site. I think it is bordering on insanity but somehow I am addicted to this project. I wish it would just bring me cash somehow, so I could turn it into a job and somehow legitimize my addiction to its creation.

Check out the help files if you get a chance. It is all still under construction but works pretty well for now.

Coding till I turn into ASCII

I took the day off from life in order to recode old parts of the site to be more liek the new code I write. Well actually, I just ike redoing stuff a year or two later because it is always so much fun to see how much better you get at it.

Each time I revisit old stuff, I say, oh man, why did you do it that way, but redoing is really fun and about a thousand times easier than when I was first learning several years ago.

The help files should be up in no time. i had to rewrite the classes for the stylebox and the media upload to work for it, but soon it will be totally done.

There is still one spot under my name on google that is not me (GOOGLE - "paul visco") . I need to overtake it so I can own my own google page.

Tomorrow I have to go see Nonna again. I have gone the last three days but tomorrow no one els ewill be there. My dad and brother got sick and my mother has to work. I hope that Nonna remembers to speak english tomorrow. I told her she has to practice tonight.

While I was there today she kept saying "duo gatto" and i wasn't sure what she meant and then I rememebered that (e:lilho) IMed (e:mike) the other day that (e:twisted) had brought two cats to buffalo with her in her suitcase. It was just a a joke but lots of people were over and (e:lilho) forgot to tell (e:mike) it was just a joke. he told my mother, who told nonna at the hospital who was then asking me about the "duo gatto" (two cats) in italian. It's funny how that got around. Everyone was laughing cause they all know my feeelings about cats.
