On a less serious note

This is so ridiculous, they have come out with a fake cell-phone for children. Here is a review of the product from Wildchild's Mom found at Amazon.com. No matter how much I love cell phones, this one makes me laugh.

Our 15-month-old son has had this phone for months now, and it has been absolutely perfect for him! Our friends have been so impressed with it that several have asked where to buy one, and one friend even tracked it down for purchase elsewhere when Amazon.com was temporarily out of stock. The sounds are very clear without being obnoxious, and there are many varied ringers, tones, songs, etc for each number button. The recording function produces a crisp, clear, loud voice that our son can easily recognize. He loves to flick the little bug and cause the wheel to spin, and looking at "baby" in the mirror is always fun for him. The fact that it is a flip-phone is a big plus, since it matches Mommy's mobile phone. One side note: I thought the light-up antenna was broken at first, but turns out it only lights when the record button is depressed. Still pretty cool, but worth mentioning if you are expecting the antenna to light all the time. We have had zero mechanical problems with this phone, and the batteries are still going strong, despite constant use. Highly recommend!

Does anyone else recognize this product as a marketing gimmick to make children want cell phones as soon as they can have them. I think it is also dangerous.

He are some links to interesting information about cell phones from the FDA

Anti-war Demonstration

Anti-war protest [inlink]churchofjulie,42[/inlink] .

My biggest question is how many Americans were too lazy to show up at the "anti-war protest" yesterday. I seriously cannot believe we are in the middle of a war which is getting worse and we voted for the guy who put us in that awkward and vulnerable position. I still can't believe it's real, he didn't just win by a little bit. He won by 3,000,000 votes. I mean we can at least hope that more than 3,000,000 votes weren't fixed, right? America loves him. I hate America. I bet that any repubfreakin reading this right now is saying then go back to where you came from.

Is everyone's art going to focus on this man now[inlink]paul,545[/inlink] . I am sure mine will for a minute but like with my journal I am questioning if that is an appropriate response. I am just so sick of concentrating on him. Maybe we should just try and forget about the fact that he exists and let our work go in another direction. What if George Bush kills art by making himself the subject of all of it. It's as though he has some sort of art theme gravity.

Not Again

I was up late tonight fixing the spell check which had some issues with single quote containing words when Florida appeared to "fall." I hope I wake up and it was all a bad dream like yesterday when I dreamed that my computer electrocuted me and then burst into flames.

Stop advertsiing before the polls close

I really think that the media should not be allowed to report on the results before the polls close in all states. This poll makes it look like George is winning by a landslide although they show only 1% of the votes and mostly conservative states.
