I have changed the look again

I was frustrated with the angular boxes. You now have rounded corners. I know the colors are bright but Matthew and I wanted spring colors. I also wanted to stay awake. They will change again soon.

On another note, I also touched up the journal selection code, so selecting journals and switching between them should be faster.

Guerilla Advertising Part 1

So I decided to take the chalk advertising into my own hands and took Terry out with me. After completing the laundry at the Village laundromat, I grabbed the box of chalk and headed out.

We went down the street and wrote elmwoodstrip.com everywhere. Matthew and I are heading out to take pics of it later. At M&T we got some slack from the 70 year old "suckurity" guard. We actually had written it by the church and he came out to say angrily, "we don't need any of that here." Terry told him to mind his own business and that it was public property. I continued writing while he angrily looked on and then we left. I mean we are not selling anything. We are trying to create a free public forum. What is so wrong with that.

At Kalista, the stylist came out, brush in hand and asked us what it about. I explained what the site was and that we wern't selling anything. She said she just wanted to make sure we were not writing anything dirty! I tried to explain that it was a community forum where people could say what they wanted.

Its amazing how difficult it is to create a public forum in a place where no free public forum exists. Especially since we lost our little elwmoodstrip park next to Wilson's Farms and it became another store.

Liz's Party

Thanks for the party last night. I felt a little underdressed, hahaha, but I guess everyone was. It was well worth the trip down to the north side of elmwood. Sara, if you are reading this - I drank Ron Rico rum. Brings back memories of 1991.

Liz, I am still amazed at the view from from the roof. I would really like to get matthew up their with the camera so we can get some nice site banners.

This is a discusting Advertisement

I cannot believe that people have sunk this low. I hope they die. This advertisement was on MACNN today. You actually got a gun crosshair and a shooting noise. It was made in flash.

Scariest Little Acorn movie

I was showing a student how to combine layers in photoshop and I only had a picture of a face and an acorn that I had scanned in for a 3D texture. I ended up making the scariest little acorn. But I think now that it would make a cute movie, also entitled The Scariest Little Acorn

image

Maybe it would also make a good flyer for the site. i eman, I would pick it up, if it was looking up at me with its cute sad eyes.

Robin/keith

What are you talking about? I don't understand what the quote is about. Maybe I am just overtired and am no longer able to comprhened very well. Anyways, is anyone going out drinking on THursday cause I would be really down with that? Until then I will be working on school work that I am not really interested in, which is never fun.

Keith, why don't you start a journal, so I can learn more about you than I was able to gather form the bathtub. HAHA!

Does anyone remember original site? I found a screen capture of Terry and I's journals from the original site. I don't knwo where the one for Matthew's is. It had clownfish on it. Wow its seems like ages ago. I guess it was only a year though, well more than a year now.

I really should have had a 1 year party, but unfortunately it was the same day as Matthew's birthday. Some of you might remember that the site started as a countdown to his Birdthay.

Anyways, he did not want a party for his birthday - so I couldn't have one for the site. And you'll might remember the weirdness of being invited and uninvited. Sorry, it was a miscommunication.

Maybe we need a party in June? OR a scavanger Hunt, trisha - you still there?
