Weekend?

So one thing about having a could is you never know how good or bad it really is. Sometimes the nose runs and sometimes it doesn't, sometimes you have the headache and sometimes you don't. I'm hoping I feel fine for Sat. and Sunday that is right it is Taste of Buffalo time. Who knows I may even check out the Entertainment. Some things I think you can do sick, but the Taste I think the crowds drive you insane. PLus if the sickness effects how things taste do you really want to spend money on food. Well still good people watching and picture taking there is allways interesting stuff going on and give aways and stuff........

I may go out Sat. night if I feel up to it. The Stripteasers are performing at Roxy's. The Only thing is well ok two things. I know this sounds weird to some. I feel like I might not be welcome or not wanted there. I will admit I have never been there, but understand that it is a gay bar. Now maybe that term is wrong. I don't know it is just a feeling I get. The other thing is Main. I'm not saying Main is bad but there are some sketchy people around there and I don't know as I want to deal with that or take that chance.

Sunday night this band I like As Summer Dies is playing at club Paradise. As much as I would love to go, I don't know where that is or how I would even get there or get home so I think that is out. However I have been watching TNA recently and they are having a PPV so I think I'll go with that, just gotta find time to get a video tape so I can record it.

I doubt I will go out friday need to keep my strength up. Plus it will be the last day of a long 4 day work week. Hope everyone has a great weekend and who knows maybe I'll see you peeps out and about and maybe I'll even snap a picture of you or something.........

wish #7 Neat Freak (UFC)

So Last night I did get UFC and Had a good time watching the fights. I can admit I don't watch it that much, hey there are many things I like and so it is tough to get a good balance. But you know what would have been cool (ok just part of it would be to see who shows up) to do one of those internet party invites thing. It would also be fun to do those for wrestling as well. I used to have people over for PPVs in the past, but that seems like such a long time ago. Yes sometimes they do get a little bit crazy and then you have to watch the replay to understand everything that went down, that is more on the wrestling ones really. But my place isn't fit for me let alone a group of people.

That isn't the only reason why a Part of me wishes I was a neat freak. (IF anyone is reading this) I need to explain that a clean freak and a neat freak are not the same thing, in some people they can be. A clean freak needs everything to sparkle and shine and be germ free. That can be kinda scary and lead to being scared of germs. What I mean by a neat freak is that every thing is organized in some form and there isn't any clutter and important papers are hidden away and when you walk into the place it looks un lived in. Of course I assume that along with that would be a very nice and big pretty TV in a holder and all the DVD's and CD's and movies would be easy access but not all over the place, sounds like a great way to live. Tables with drink holders and great couches or what ever. Why do I picture wood floors when I have a carpet in all my rooms.

Yes having a bunch of people over for food and drink and a great time would be one benefit but it wouldn't be the only one. I think a general sense of relaxation would be one of them, when I wasn't stressing about the neatness. But If I was a neat freak it would be 2nd nature and I wouldn't think about it. I think it would make budgeting better. If you are that organized you won't go oops that bill is late again. I think it could also lead to more planning of stuff out side of the house I'm not sure.

The thing that I wonder about is if I could function. Say people are over and they say put something where it doesn't belong would I freak. "You have to fill that glass up or wash it you can't wait till this fight ends", ha. See because the empty glass just sitting out of place might drive me insane. I wonder if I would be able to bring someone home from a bar or if it would be the same problem as with glass. "could you fold those and put those on that holder, yeah on the floor doesn't work", ha.

I think that if someone could come up with a way to train people to be different then what they are (I know they used to training kinda like that years ago but that was more like a manors thing) and then they had to let you go back, they could make a lot of money. But I think it would also be a great service. This kinda Happens on a show I haven't seen in some time called Wife Swap. It would happen because the families who trade wives/husbands would all ways be so different. So it is a way to see how a family who runs the home and how they raise their kids different works out for them. Hopefully each family can learn from the other and take aspects that they like, that they just can't do themselves.

When ever I write these I all ways feel as though I've left stuff out or could have said more but am never sure of what I should have said differently. It isn't like I write an out line. After all this is a blog not a paper for school, thinking back I never did an out line back then, maybe if I did I would be a neat freak. I'm not saying that I want to be one but it would or might be nice to be that way. I wonder.......................

Eclipse Air Bender cakes

So far my Saturday has been Pretty good, hoping the fights are good tonight. My goal was to see 2 movies and I did not sure how it worked out but it did and I walked "The Strip" for a bit.

I thought The Last Air Bender was pretty good. I have never seen the cartoon, those that have know it is called Avatar (not to be confused with that other movie). Since I haven't seen it I don't know where it lines up story wise. I liked it, my say is that if you like that kind of movie you will like it.

So Twilight Eclipse. I liked it and thought it was good. That being said I still would have liked more action and a little less love story. To me the twilight movies are heavy on the love story. Yes all great Vampire movies do have some love story or romance hidden in there somewhere but it often is the main thrust. I still thought it was pretty good though and liked the action scenes.

On the way home I ate at two places 1st zillycakes . I had no idea what to get so I went with the red cupcake and built from there it was pretty good, I will go back there again and try others.

I admit I often forget about Louie's on Elmwood I stopped there and got a good 1/2 burger. After I ordered I decided I should have gotten a shake the Elvis one sounded really good and so did the black Raspberry one I should have got loaded fries but I didn't feel like spending that much, i still enjoyed what I had, I now have a reason to go back there again.....

4th of July?

So I can admit not sure what I'm doing for the holiday. I can also admit that it seems weird that the 4th is on a sunday so I get monday off, and I have no idea what I will do that day....

Some time ago I thought the 3rd would be a great day to go the Falls and go on the Maid of The mist. I haven't been on since I was a kid, plus it would be cool to take some pictures of the falls from the boat, well assuming I could get to the edge (water camera). But that is out what I think I'm just going to do is order UFC. I want to see the Lesnar fight it could be pretty good, but you never know in fighting. I would be cool to do the Bison's thing with the BPO but it is kinda late notice.

IN terms of the 4th I assume I'm going down to the waterfront to see what ever is going on down there and eat and maybe even drink something. I remember last year was fun. With that the question is, do I find a spot on the grass or do I try and find an edge so I'm over looking the water. Looking over the water was a trip the first time the way those boats hook up to each other is something else..... I wonder what the fireworks look like from a boat. I have no idea if I'm going down there solo or if any of the family is going down, who know we shall see I guess.

I was hoping last week to try Zillycakes maybe this sat. One thing I have to do is go to at least one movie. Yes I do need to see the 3rd Twilight Movie I saw the other 2 so...... But that isn't the only movie I want to see there are some movies that I still haven't made it see yet and I think one of the movies I also want to see opened up yesterday. I'll look into those movies times and then see what happens Sat. Morning. I also have been craving a great burger I wonder if I can make that happen.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!!!! Oh yeah and that no one gets blown up.

Federal Common Law Idea

I think that any family should be able to have Health insurance and have all members covered who live with them. Sometimes a family might be two moms or two dads or even Life partners who might not be sexual partners. If you are family you are family. I think this should go past Health Insurance though and kids being covered.

Some states have common law marriage or even Partner rights. Why not have this at a federal level. When two people share the same home or live together (kids or not). They go down to a Federal building or court house of some kind and prove they live together. If there are kids then prove where and when they have them. At this point they are registered as a federal union. After so many years maybe 5-7 somewhere in there. They then go back and they file a formal request to joined. Someone verifies it and they are legally one.

At this time if there are any other legal things like a prenup that would be handed over then.

Again Both people would be there.

This would not be a marriage but legally it would be the same in terms of laws and rights.

Religion and faith would have nothing to do with it.

Just the couple would be there in like an office it wouldn't be with other people like you might do with a Justice of the peace.

There would be a process of when people separate to dissolve the contract.

Once you are registered and you separate not letting the feds know would be a crime even before the 5 years.

If you move onto someone else then you let the feds know and then you could live with someone else.

The fact that it is federal and not state is very important. The register would be set up so that you can't live with someone in FL and CA at the same time. That would be a crime just like being married to two people would be. See at the state level this wouldn't be trackable. The other problem is at the state level two people could be "A legal Couple" then move to a different state that doesn't recognize this agreement and then there goes the rights you have. But also think about how crazy Health Care could be. Each Company would have different rules for different states.

The Bottom line is this. I think that everyone should be treated the same, and if you are a family you are a family. It is to bad that we need the government to intervene. Not that I think this will happen but I think it should.

Double Sandler and Karate Kid

So I wanted to do a video post about this but why staircase was to dark, I didn't have time with buying food to go down elmwood and talking to a camera on a bus with people on it seemed a bit off.......

I thought the Karate Kid was very good. When I saw the preview I expected it to be just like the original. Don't get me wrong I don't remember all the story of the 1st two I was young the last time I saw it. I will admit they had to set up the story before they got into the action and that is ok. I myself thought it was very good. Oh yeah one thing that through me a bit is how much the kid really looks like will smith, it is scary and was tough to get used to but I still liked the movie.

Tonight I'll be watching Funny People (Adam Sandler). I am hoping that it will be very funny. Comedy is a strange thing sometimes what shouldn't be funny is and sometimes it is the other way. Grown Ups to me at least strated out very funny. I thought there was a great cast and a good story. The thing with most of Sandler's films is that they aren't all jokes all movie long, they do put that family or meaning or getting your life on track that kind of thing in his movies and yes that was in there as well. I enjoyed it and had a good time. It was also nice to see Rob Schinder get some movie time and not just saying "You Can Do it". Guessing if you like his other movies you would like this..........

Elmwood and Soccer aka Futbol

So so far I like the New Estrip. One thing that I have to get used to is that if someone has multiple posts Like (e:vincent) has 3 showing (e:paul) has 2 that I don't have to go in order if I click on the newest one then I can also see the older posts and just go down the line. I haven't tried yet yet to go forward and see how that works.

Oh yeah the Youtube Video I figured I should test out so I made one. Yes it is dark and after that looks kinda trippy. The point I was trying to make is that Yes The World Cup is a big event but I just can't really get into soccer. I think part of what I don't like is that it takes time to go down the field and then often once you get down there no one scores. I'm also kinda the same way about Elmwood. I like the strip and there are a lot of great places but often I don't go places or I forget about places, I just went to the New ETS last weekend. I was going to buy an I heart shirt when I first saw them but then all the girls started wearing them, so I was like I don't know they are like a girl style now. I didn't really say all this in the video though. I have wanted to try Toyoko Shanghi since it opened and never gone, I forget about Louie's all the time, I can't tell you the last time I was in an elmwood bar, guessing St. Pats to Jackdaw (Yes ran into Timika and Jenks so that was some time ago), that is just a guess. So as much as I like Elmwood I don't use it as much as I should. I do think that part of it is because I think of Elmwood as for 4 kinds of people and I'm not any one of them:
1. The Cool People
2. The People who live really close and shop there
3. The Un-cool people who are now cool for not being cool (would that be a hipster)
4. The people who come from the burbs.

Well this all started out just as a test to see if the video works hope some people like it. I'm also hoping to use Elmwood more then I do......

A-team and Jonah Hex Rocked

So I will be the first to admit that yes I wrote a blog about the A-Team previous to when I saw it. Turns Out I was a bit wrong. Murdock was amazing. I was laughing but it just might be me. From what I understand the guy playing him was the same guy from District 9. You would never be able to tell really so that is a good piece of acting. I like how the movie started out. Yes there was good action and still a story line. Hey "I love it when a plan Comes together" means you still have to have story. Now some might not agree but it was worth it to wait through the credits, like you don't have a couple of minutes extra with all the money you just paid to see the movie, plus you want to see who did the music some of the time anyways. Hannibal was great also, and I love the BA Fight scene can't say anything else, don't want to give anything away.

Couple preview things. Insurection with Leonardo DiCapio looks really good and really confusing. Predators looks like a through back to the first movie I want to see that. I don't remember what it is called but there is going to be some movie with Bruce Wills, Sly, The Gov of Cali, and Jason Strathen (Jet li Movies, Transporter, Crank). That should be interesting. Oh yeah the new Resident Evil movie in 3D looks increadable. But that brings up a question I have. There was this ad for Wonka bars, yes they look like they are coming right at me off the screen, it was amazing it really was, but if they can do it in an ad why not in these 3D movies?

Onto Jonah Hex. Yes I admit Megan Fox is hot and I won't say all the dirty kinky things I would love for her to do to me. But in this movie that is the role is playing plus I think she pulls off the action Parts. I have heard that this movie has been bashed and things from the comic have been changed, but I never read it so..... I thought action wise it was pretty good. I liked the story and the settings. There where also some pretty cool visual things as well, and I don't mean just Fox, again don't want to say anything to give anything away. What I will say is that the movie really moved quickly and had great rocking music. The stuff in the end credits was really good, wish I could have thought of more interesting stuff to say to the hot lady who comes in to clean about the movie music, like hey have you ever seen this band live, who knows if anyone can fill you in on the music in the movie that they like it might be someone who works there.

All in alll I really liked both movies. Here is what I will say is if these are your type of movies you will like them, if romantic comedy is your thing go see Killers (haven't seen it but it looks like it will be funny, yes I want to see it) I had stuff I had to get at target so I missed the Zillycakes 1 year cupcake thing, it sounded really tasty to, oh well. I guess I'll try them some other time.
