MEGA Sabres

A few nights ago I went to see Megadeth and had a great time at the Town Ballroom it was a very crowded and packed show. I also liked the two opening bands "The Confession" and not sure of the exact name but something along the lines of "in this moment" my one problem was having trouble hearing some of her vocals. I did like that she wore a dress and head banged.

Tonight the sabres are playing the Penguins (right now I'm guessing) and then I'm going to the Saturday night game in Buffalo, that is there final preseason game I think. Yes I'll be yelling for the sabres but I like the penguins to and want to see if their uniforms look really any different. This year all the teams are going to new jerseys but I don't know if they will really effect the look of them or not.

Carey's Bonfire or Saturday Part 2 kinda

I had a good time at (e:theecarey)'s bonfire Fiesta. I admit I didn't eat much and there where a bunch of people I didn't know and didn't say much but still had a good time. I will admit I didn't think I would make it there but I have to thank (e:mike) who had room in his car. So here are the pictures. Oh one other thing I wanted to add was last night I saw one of I think the coolest Family guys I've seen in a long time. It was there star wars episode. I think my favorite might have been at the end when Chris (voiced by Seth Green I believe) calls his dad out that Robot Chicken did a star wars show like 3 months ago and then Peter goes on to say something like it isn't a real network and that like only 10 people watch it when he lists the real networks fox isn't mentioned either. Oh yeah on a another side note the new season of Heroes starts tonight. Ok now on to the pictures.

In terms of the fire pictures it looks like most of them came out or will come out good. The thing is that if you use a flash and are able to make it bright enough to see the people good than that most of the time makes it bright so you can't really see the fire. The above pictures where in order but these fire pictures won't be.

When we first arrived we heard that later on the donkey would be braught out hey it was a mexican theme we thought we would get to see or maybe even partake in a donkey show but it turned out to be A pinata. After the pictures I got there was some fun had with a donkey head I can't wait to see how those pictures of I think (e:theecarey)'s camera but here are my pictures.

Those above should have been in order. Once the donkey got smashed opened it was determined that there was stuff still in there so it got kinda put back together and destroyed more. Here is what should be the last set of pictures from Carey's Birthday Bonfire Party.

Sorry (e:ladycroft) to mention how one thing reminds me about something about you again. But this party did a little bit. Of course the fire part did and your graduation party. But it also reminded me of how at both parties there where kinda these two groups of people there that generaly didn't interact with each other that much. But that is kinda natural when you have two groups who know the people in the own group and socialise with each other naturally. I'm not saying that the groups didn't interact at all. I also think that it is more common then people realise. That being said I had a great time and can't wait to see some more pictures from the party online. Hope you all enjoyed my pictures and didn't get tired of all the fire ones.

Blogtober fest (2nd post of the day)

So saturday I was running late for everything it seems but I still got to see two movies. The second Movie I saw was Dragon Wars. I really liked it and liked that it had a story line. I did find it kinda funny that the one Dragon looked like a huge Cobra but it was part of the story line that it looked like that. If you like dragons then you will like this movie. The first movie I saw was Mr. Woodcock. Maybe it is just me but I did like it but thought it would be better then it was. It seemed like they may have snuck in that it was a date movie. I don't mean a chick flick but I could be wrong about that. So when I got home came on line and asked if I could tag along to Blogtoberfest with (e:pmt) . Paul got back to me and there was room so to (e:Paul) and to (e:Mike) who drove thanks. I will admit that these pictures won't be in order. I also admit that I'm not sure how the pictures will look. On my camera they all looked bright but on the screen they all look dark so we shall see.

There are a few things that I don't get about what went on. Why was the Blog Tables all the way in the back. If I was going to reserve tables they would be up front near the band. They would also be right near the enterance that way when bloggers walked in they would find it right away I might even put up a sign. I don't think we where the only bloggers there I think that there was no way for use to know the others and vice versa. I wish my pictures of the dancers would have came out better. I'm guessing I wasn't close enough so all the light from the flash just spread out but not sure. After the event Mike got a ticket that so wasn't his fault really. You had all these streets coming together and he did go through a green light but I guess there was a second light that he went through that was red and he almost hit two motorcycles who we later found out where cops. We did get a little lost going to (e:theecarey)'s place but through the use of cell phones got there. That will be my next post. Hopefully Monday Little short on time right now. Hope you enjoy the pictures and hope they are decent hope everyone had a great weekend.

Jackdaw and Dropkick

In my previous post I mentioned that one of the things that made me reflect back to other recent events was the Jackdaw and dropkick murphey's show. At the time I hadn't downloaded my pictures yet. So I thought I would put them up here. Not sure how good they will be do to the distance and light but here they are.

The past repeats itstelf thoughts

I will admit I have been thinking about the recent past lately. It isn't that I have been deep thinking or any thing it just that a few events make me remember other events in the past. It is kinda odd that all the events tie back to (e:ladycroft). When I was at the square it dawned on me that I think the last time I saw Jackdaw seems like a long time ago and I think it was a year ago St. Patrick's Day when I ran into (e:ladycroft) and (e:Jenks), I remember it was a good time I'm not positive that my memory is correct but that is what my mind believes anyway. Then as The Dropkick Murphey's are playing and everything is nuts and I'm get squished by people because the pit got huge and I wasn't in it but was still effected by it I thought back to how I tried to avoid them years ago before (e:strip) at warped tour. Last week I heard an Ad for Trans-sibieran Orchestra and thought back to how fun it was last year and how great a concert it was. Then I thought maybe I should go again and remembered that it would make it 3 years in a row thanks to the awesome ticket (e:ladycroft) gave me since she couldn't go. The third thing is that coming up in October I'm going to see Henry Rollins at the Town Ballroom, that brought up the memories of when I went and picked the wrong side of the stage. See I have this thing where I have this area I like and I pick either right or left and I picked left and then picked a spot in a chair on the floor. But if I would have picked right then I would have been in the same Area as (e:Jason), (e:Theecarey), and (e:ladycroft). I still had a good time and everything but that would have been so much cooler. I kid you not I was just outside on the porch with my sisters cat and the thought hit me that I'm going to some hockey games this year and didn't go to any last year but I could have sworn the year before One of the games I went to was the same game (e:ladycroft) went to with "her Kids" that is if memory serves me right. I don't really like to look backwards I think nostegila can be dangerous and if you think about the good things then that can bring up bad things and things you want to forget. But the thing that is odd is these thoughts are just coming to me, like out of no where. I'm not saying that they are bad thoughts, just something that doesn't happen for me. In any even for anyone who reads this sorry for the long paragraph form and any bad grammar is bad spelling, hope everyone has/had a great weekend.

Kid Nation Kitchen

I know that a lot of people think that reality TV is garbage. There is some truth to that. I know some people say the camera men effect stuff and might even interfear and that might be true. But tonight at 8pm on CBS Ch. 4 there is a show that looks like it will be pretty cool called kid nation. This is what I know 40 days, 40 kids and no adults. I guess the kids have to start or run a town. If I had even seen the movie "lord of the flies" I'm sure I would really be into this. But I think this show could be very entertaining and insightful if they do it right and just let the science experimant fly and film it.

For those of you who like Kitchen stuff, or Chef that famous guy from Hell's Kitchen has his new show on fox tonight. If I had ever worked in a resturent I would watch it but I'll be watching Last comic standing. I have no idea how the final is going to take 2 hours but it should be interesting. That reminds me for you fans of Heroes it starts back up on Monday I think but not sure.

Tila..Love me

For those of you who like those Love shows like Flavor of love, or Bret Michaels there is a new one starting on MTV that really looks interesting. I think it starts October 9th. Tila Tequila (don't know what her real last name is) is bisexual and claims the show is kinda her coming out. She invited 16 strate guys and 16 lesbians. But the kicker is that neither the guys nor girls knew about each other. I think that there should be a way to watch the stuff that is to hot for TV but that is just me.

There is this new show on HBO about couples called "Tell me you love Me". Yes it is really about relationships. The first week there was a lot of sex lets see tits, ass, balls, a hand job from a distance. I watched the 2nd episode and there wasn't as much sex in it. I think that with HBO in demand you can watch episodes a week early cause it listed another episode I haven't seen yet. Hopefully this next one will have heavy sex in it again. Even the one that wasn't that graphic had a nice heavy warning before it, and it should cause the show is still about sex and relationships. So far all the couples seem like there own story lines I don't know if their stories will overlap or if any of the people will be connected. I don't remember when but I did see an add for HBO Real sex , those are all ways very interesting.

This post is really more about sex then TV so that is why I went with the sex topic instead of TV. That reminds me Californication is really a great show to and is good because I like it I guess. Yeah it does have some great sex in it, but it is more then that, there is a story about love and family. Oh Yeah and Hank is great to he "Blogs" and in one episode bashed LOL and BRB and how it dumbs us down. Plus there is a hot Suicide Girl the episodes.

I guess what the point I'm saying is that these are all shows that look like they are hot and have to do with sex but that on like a porn or a late night max movie (or stars) you don't watch it to get off and getting off is the goal and maybe if you are still horny you go back and try to get off again. You watch the show and enjoy the sexual aspects of it and if you or you and your partner do decide to get it on when that is over you go back and get back into the story. Well this is where I shut up.

Shoot Em Up

So today I saw Shoot Em Up starting Clive Owen. I thought it was very good. Yes it was funny, not sure if it was meant to be or not. Oh yeah plus there was some boobs in it not a lot but a little bit. It is a movie with lots of shooting guns in it and a couple of the scenes where really amazing but I don't want to give anything away.

Ok I'm going to give away to amazing scenes so If you haven't seen it yet don't read this part.
He is having sex with the girl he is protecting and then "the bad guys" storm in and they get into a great shoot out as he spins with her it really is good. I think that ends with A great scene of him going down a rope and taking out a bunch of guys. Then there is a scene in where they jump out of a plane and have a shoot out that was really cool and a lot of fun and the movie moved quickly.

Sabres and Crime

Today I bought 1 Sabres Tickets to 4 games yes one of them is a preseasson game but I want to see the penguins. I have been to some open practices but I don't think I've ever been to a pre-season game. I will admit that one of my tickets is only a few rows above the players bench so it might be tough to see but it will be interesting to have that view also. I got them because I'm a Sabres insider. They go on sale to the public on Saturday. I admit buying them this early makes me nervous cause what if a great concert comes to the Town Ballroom the same night but that is ok. I figured I should get a few games early before they all sell out. I'm going to see "The Blues", "Blackhawks" and "Senators". I saw in the news today an article about the Aud and that they may try to sell some of the stuff that is in there before they trash it. I will say this if I had home it would be so cool to have turnstyles as people walked in. I think it would be cool to have Rows of chairs in front of my huge TV, that would be awesome. But my place is small so there is no chance of that for me. If bass pro uses that site I wish they would keep the front entrance way as an enterance way to the store then have a little Area with the history of the AUD I think that would really be cool but doubt we will ever see that.

Here is what I wanted to talk about yesterday but didn't have time. I read this in the Buffalo News and will give my thoughts after this about crime in the city.
[box] Habitat for Humanity crew is robbed at gunpoint
Masked men confront workers on Peach St.
By Stephen T. Watson - News Staff Reporter
Updated: 09/13/07 8:27 AM

A group of volunteers renovating a home in Buffalo's Fruit Belt neighborhood through Habitat for Humanity was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday while taking a lunch break.

The two robbers surprised the volunteer workers and demanded their money as the group sat outside a house that's being rehabbed in the 200 block of Peach Street.

This is the first such crime in the 22-year history of Habitat Buffalo, officials said, and members said they hope news of the robbery doesn't hurt the work of the organization.

"Our volunteers are so passionate that they're not going to let this stop them," Margaret Talboys, publicity director for the group, told The Buffalo News late Wednesday. "We will do all we can to ensure the safety of our volunteers."

Habitat Buffalo, part of the national Habitat for Humanity organization, has helped build or rehab 170 homes over 22 years for city residents who can't afford to buy a new home at market price, Talboys said.

In that time, no volunteers have been personally victimized, and the only crimes of any kind have been rare, overnight burglaries targeting the work sites, she said.

Volunteers have been working at the Peach Street site for about two months, said Ron Talboys, president of Habitat Buffalo and Margaret's husband, who is on the Peach Street work crew. Each home project typically takes six to eight months.

The crew was sitting in plastic chairs on the house's front lawn eating lunch at about 12:30 p.m. when two men dressed in black burst upon the group, Ron Talboys and another volunteer said.

The two robbers, wearing hoodies and bandannas to obscure their faces, began pushing the volunteers around and demanding money.

"My initial thought was this was a prank," said Ron Talboys. That notion was dashed when he saw one of the robbers brandishing a handgun.

Many of the volunteers are retirees.

"I just started," said an 84-year-old Clarence resident. "It was my first day."

He said the robber with the gun stood 2 feet away from him, pointing the gun at him, when he demanded his wallet, which contained a credit card and $60.

Another Clarence man was robbed of his wallet and $40, while a third Clarence resident was robbed of $45.

A fourth victim, a Getzville resident, was hurt in his left shoulder when he was pushed off his chair. He gave $60 to the robbers.

After the robbers ran off, several volunteers called 911 on their cell phones to report the crime. A half-dozen Buffalo police patrol cars responded, Ron Talboys said.

Some workers left the site after the robbery, while others continued to work.

"I guess most of the people were more scared afterwards. . . . It happened so quickly," Ron Talboys said.

The Talboyses stressed that they are taking every precaution possible to ensure the safety of their volunteers. They plan to consult Buffalo Housing Court Judge Henry Nowak and Buffalo police have promised to beef up patrols in the area.

Both Ron Talboys and the 84-year-old Clarence man said they plan to return to the Peach Street site.

"We want to continue. This is our mission," Margaret Talboys said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Central District police at 851-4403.

The first thing I will say it is to bad that all the guys where on brake. It would have been nice if one of them wasn't and came behind these thugs with a rivet or nail gun and taken them out. Normaly I'm not one of those people who think eye for an eye and rapists should be raped in jail. But this case is different. You have people who come into a place to help that place and help the people who live there and then some thugs rob them. Yeah I understand that there are stick up kids and people who need money for what ever reason. But if you are going to rob someone at least have the moral code to rob other thugs, gangstas or drug dealers. Don't rob the people who are trying to improve the fruit belt. I admit I've been in the fruit belt or at least the out skirts of it for sports events. I have been to a few events at the stadium that replaced "The Rock Pile" and I used to go to Bison games there. I guess the point I was trying to get to is that most of the people there are good (I assume) and want to have nice things but then you have a few bad apples and I hope they don't take it back to how it used to be a long time ago.

Below is some info in case you have a little extra money and want to get a car and have about 1 and a 1/2 million dollars.

[box] Exclusivity? Try Lamborghini's $1.4 million car

By Gilles Castonguay Wed Sep 12, 12:24 PM ET

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - What price exclusivity? If you ask Lamborghini, one million euros ($1.4 million) should do it -- before tax, of course.

In a bid to add more prestige to what it already has, the Italian maker of super luxury sports car unveiled the Reventon at Frankfurt's international autoshow, a very limited edition car that looks more like an arrow than anything on four wheels.

With the six-figure price tag, it is the most expensive car that it has ever built.

Needless to say, Lamborghini has already sold the 20 cars that it plans to build.

"As soon as the word got out, we sold out in four days," Chief Executive Stephan Winkelmann told Reuters, adding that they could have easily sold another 20.

Most of the buyers were men from the United States, Lamborghini's biggest market, he said.

Some of them are already owners of a Lamborghini, which competes with the likes of Ferrari in speed and exclusivity.

"We have among our customers movie stars, sports stars... (but) the majority of our clients are businessmen. Men. Lovers of luxury goods," said Winkelmann.

True to its tradition of cultivating an aggressive image, Lamborghini named the car after a bull that killed matador Felix Guzman in 1943.

Although it is based on its Murcielago LP640 model, Lamborghini's engineers took inspiration from a fighter jet and reworked the composite carbon fiber body to accentuate the sleekness and angular edges usually associated with its cars.

The engine is the same as the LP640: a 12-cylinder rocket that can propel the car from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

By comparison, the coupe version of the LP640 costs a relatively more modest 219,600 euros.

Lamborghini, which is run by Volkswagen's (VOWG.DE) Audi division, will start making the Reventon in January and deliver them in October.

The car, which came in an opaque grey at the autoshow, has a three-year warranty.[/box]
