SNL and Tina Fey

I'm not sure why I like Tina Fey, Yeah she is hot but that isn't the only reason. She was so good on weekend update. That part of the show has all ways been good, no mater who was on the show. I think that and her being part of it are a factor. If I read this site correctly starting this Thursday at 9:30 PM for 3 weeks in a row thy will have live weekend update, I think it could be pretty interesting. I wonder if they will use anything form the Debate on Tuesday of if they will save that for Saturday.

A link to how Tina Fey is good for SNL
You might want to check it out there are other things you can click on in the story but here is the story if you just care about that

Politics and Palin lure viewers to "SNL"
By Paul J. Gough Mon Oct 6, 6:30 AM PDT

The politics-fueled ratings train of "Saturday Night Live" keeps rolling along this election season with Tina Fey's impersonations of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin luring viewers.

"SNL" averaged a 7.4 household rating/18 share in the metered market overnights, Nielsen Media Research said on Sunday afternoon. That's within a tenth of a rating point of its September 13 premiere, which itself was the highest-rated show since December 14, 2002, when Al Gore and Phish appeared.

"SNL" is up 49 percent in the metered markets compared with the first four weeks of last season, as well as up 42 percent this past Saturday compared to episode No. 4 last season.

As expected, Saturday's show was heavy on the politics, spoofing the recent debate between Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Democrat Joe Biden.

For the third time this season, Tina Fey portrayed Palin. Cast member Jason Sudeikis was Biden, and surprise guest Queen Latifah sat in as moderator Gwen Ifill.

Once again, Fey showed that she has cornered the market on Palin impersonations, and her insistence that the GOP ticket would be all "mavericky" gained wide traction on the Web where it could be seen in numerous video postings.

Another funny moment that seemed to strike a chord with audiences was Fey (as Palin) thanking "third graders of Gladys Wood Elementary, who were so helpful to me in my debate prep."

While the rest of the late-night shows have struggled to find their footing following the 2007/2008 writers strike, "SNL" has been on a roll ever since it took on Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and others at the end of last season.

The show's success with political satire only got bigger and better in September, when "SNL" opened early with a special appearance by Fey as Palin.

"Clearly, 'Saturday Night Live' and Tina Fey's spot-on creation of Sarah Palin is now a part of this election season," said ABC News political director David Chalian. "It does show a frame through which a lot of people see these candidates."

Ifill, who drew controversy before the debate with reports she was writing a book about the rise of African American politicians including Barack Obama, did not escape the satire.

Twice Latifah mentioned the book and the publication date, once Inauguration Day and the other Election Day, and said that it was available for preorder.

Also on the firing line were Biden and Scranton, Pa., the beleaguered northeastern Pennslyvania city that has been invoked by Biden (who grew up there).

"They did equal-opportunity bashing," said CNN political analyst Gloria Borger, noting that it wasn't just Palin who was the target of humor on "SNL."

I just wanted to add that who winds up winning the Election could have a Big Effect on someone's comedy future. For those people who can do impressions well they should really work on being very good at someone or everyone. I know Tina Fey isn't a cast member of SNL anymore but I think it is awesome that she does Palin so well. When McCain Wins (I do think he is going to win for multiple reasons like 1. Hillary fans are loyal to her and some of them will follow sarah or now that she is out don't care any more so dems lose votes 2. Lots of whites who say they don't care about race are liers and won't vote for barrack. 3. Most votes doesn't count it is who gets the most points) , I have felt this ever since it was him only and Barrack and Hillary where still fighting for the nomination; then at least maybe Tina Fey will be on SNL every so often playing Palin. I hope I'm wrong but that is just the fealing I get. In any event it is nice to see SNL get a little bit of a surge here. I wish Tina would come back and Just to weekend update she and Amy played so well off of each other.

I'm voting for Tina Fey?

Come the November Elections I know Have a conflict. I think Barrack is the man for the job. I admit I don't like McCain. But see here is where the conflict comes in. Both parties are saying they will change things hence "Mavricks" . But see I don't think either one of them can change that much. In this great country of ours we have 3 branches of Government and they are supposed to to balanced. So I think that even though the president Is the leader any change he wants he has to have a others who agree with him. Hey he is the new guy who says the people in power will really let him run the show. That is why I may vote for McCain. Not because I like him but because I like Tina Fey. Hey if Palin is VP or even if she becomes the Commander and Chief then Tina Fey will Be on SNL every week playing the role of Palin, well or at least she will be on as a guest star every so often. That reminds me SNL goes live on Thursday this week, I'm guessing most of it will be based on what ever happens on the debate on Tuesday. Back in the old days I was a big Dana Carvey fan. Yes he did a lot of sketches like "The Church Lady" But what I think got him the most fame was playing George Bush, and if I remember once the Real George Bush Joined him in a skit. But to Tina Fey for a minute. I think she does a better Job doing Palin (who doesn't talk that weird just think about that movie Fargo) then anyone else doing any of the Political people on the show. So I may just wind up voting for Tina Fey.

On a side note last nights MMA was pretty good. My quick take on it was that it is odd that Shamrock Got hurt before the fight (cut with sutures) So Kimbo Slice fought someone who was going to be on the Undercard and the dude won very quickly by the way. Oh yeah and Gina Carano won her fight also. All in all it was fun to watch.

EliteXC and Bills

So I have lots of interests and one of them is MMA. Showtime has a league called EliteXC and that is on CBS live tonight. So since I have Rabbit Ears that work (time warner and CBS you both still piss me off, ass holes, I think if cable companies also did al le carte service it would be a way to work around this) I can watch that at 9 PM tonight. The link is about weigh ins. I guess the quick report is that Kimbo Slice and Shamrock got into it, don't know if that will make there fight any better (I think she is pretty hot) That Gina Carano got naked so she could make weight. I hope the fights tonight are good you never know.

At least I'll be able to watch the Bills on sunday. I think it could be a very good game vs. the cardinals. I think it is a big test for the Bills. Yes I am happy and surprised they haven't lost a game yet, but they also haven't played anyone in the AFC East yet so we shall see what happens when they do. I also wonder what the 1PM game will be. Both things on CBS (rat bastards along with time warner, who I think should give people money back on there bills based on how long CBS is off of cable for) I'll be watching on my small TV in my bed room. Even though it is smaller the set up puts me closers to the TV so sometimes the picture seems bigger, well not bigger but I can see it better. On a side note I wonder if Tina Fey will be on SNL doing a debate Sketch tonight that would be pretty cool.

Arhhh Time Warner and CBS

What to do, who is really the greedy company, will they really work something out?????? ARGGGGGGGGGGGh the entire thing makes me crazy. Should I cancel cable and get a dish so I can Watch Football. But I like my indemand stuff. Are both side greedy? I'm not an expert but I think if Cable had the al le carte system this wouldn't be a problem. If CBS wanted more money then it would cost more money to have it as a station. Well I guess some time tonight I have to call them. Oh yeah they give us some college sports station that I don't care about and an HBO I allready have. I think both sides should have thought about the viewers and the NFL 1st. But who knows maybe they will work something out. Hey if there is no game then do we get two Fox games instead of One? I wonder if MMA can we watched live online? I want to fucking scream, I need my AFC Football games.

I don't do photography............

The point that I want to make is yes I do take pictures. I have taken them at parties, sports events, things out side, my place and other things like concerts or events. But I think it is important to note that is different to aim a Camera and figure out what setting something looks like how you think it should look and doing photography. The camera does the photography for you, you just have to find out what setting does it the best for your needs. For example when I'm at a Bandits game and I'm on the glass I have to turn the flash off. If I don't it hits the glass and makes a crazy picture. At some events if you use a flash it will hit the people in or stuff in front of you and then make what you want to see look dark. So to capture the light you turn the flash off but then to much movement and they blur or sometimes the people look fuzzy. Dark lighting can be very tricky. For example last year at (e:theecarey)'s if you use a flash then it gets very bright and you lose the fire effect but you see the people but if you do it the other way then you get the brightness of the moving fire and not the people. There are all kinds of different settings or most digital cameras that will cause the picture to look different. Some of them (mine I think there is a way to) you can cause the shutter to stay open longer and let in more light, Hope you have a tripod or a really steady hand. The point I'm trying to make is that yes one can get very good at using there camera but it is important to remember that what makes photography photography is being done by the camera and not the person doing when taking pictures (like I do). For those photographers here On (e:strip) I do respect you for your skills (even if I'm not to sure of what they all are). I myself have heard some of the basics but hearing what some of them are and being able to do them isn't even close to the same. Who knows maybe some day I'll take a class. I'm not saying I would ever be good enough to take pictures of runway models or Hockey Games where they catch the puck passing the goalie or weddings as an example. I hope what I wrote was clear.

Not so exciting times of Peterazzi

So I see that Pushing Daises Returns tonight (should burn it as I watch bones)

Well Yes The Peterazzi Does Have Some Exciting Times. That being said he isn't all about glitter glam and Photos. That is right often times his life is very dull in fact. A typical day:

-wake up around 4:30 am (sometimes 5:30) and some how get out of the house within that half hour. Hop on a bus going downtown. Then catch a second bus that goes to work (West Seneca or Cheektowaga area). Then start working well most of the time at least. Work isn't all ways over at the same time. So then it is time to head home. Sometimes if someone is going in the same direction a drop off near home happens. If not then the two bus thing again. Then it is off to go online or do other computer things for a couple hours. Then time to find some TV or a movie maybe if nothing is on or something that was taped or missed by something else being on at the same time. Sometime in there Dinner and Bed. And wake up the next day. After long days sometimes by Thurs. and Friday there is a nice tiredness worked in there also. Oh yeah on a side note happy Hump Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lovely e:peepettes

So I came to (e:strip) today and saw that on the front page there is a Picture from Halloween and one of the people is the Lovely (e:imk2). I just wanted to add that she isn't the only Lovely e;peepette and I'll leave it at that. I'm not saying that the lovely (e:peepettes) that is the only good thing about them, in fact it is not the only good thing about all of them. But that got me thinking about a couple of things like that last night was another example of how multiple things I like overlap. I taped Heroes and Boston Legal as I watched Prison Break then watched the end of WWE Monday Night Raw. Yes I did have a good night I guess. But there is this other part of me that thinks it would be cool if I had some little cutie pie who was hot or cute (as much so a few of the (e:peepettes) or some other people who have been to them in the past like I don't know her name but Perfect Boob Girl we will call her from last years party) of course the looks are not at all the most important part of a chic. But to be honest in most cases looks are often what start the conversation. It could just be that lover multi colored hair or a shirt that says go fuck your self or some aspect that causes the people to talk to each other. My point is as much as I do like stories (house and fringe tonight, then Bones, 90210 and Sons of Anarchy on Wends) There is also the side of me that thinks it would be so nice be so busy with someone that what was on TV wouldn't even be known. I don't know why I put this under the category of sex. Well maybe because if you where with someone that much sex and great sex would hopefully become a part of it. By the way I'm not going to list all the (bad wording) cute (e:peepettes) by name, that would be kinda creepy or at least it would be to me, I will say this though I'm sure it would be a tough list to do with not knowing what some people look like and the fact that some people are members but don't really post. On a side note I'm still trying to figure out if my Halloween costume will work, if it does and I go through with it, it will be a different side of me that I don't think anyone on this site has seen, so if I do it I hope you all take lots of pictures and post them.

The Bail out and why it shouldn't happen

Yes I get that we are in troubled times economicly. I also know that a lot of people are saying the bailout must happen so the entire system doesn't crash. But why should the Tax payers have to pay for people making mistakes. I think the people shouldn't. Hey if you give out a loan part of the risk is someone won't pay it back, that is part of a free economy. Yes the government should help people but it isn't there job to save people who took a risk. If I go out side and trip and hit my head next time I'll learn to catch myself but if I know mom is right behind me and will catch me when I fall I won't care and I'll keep tripping. I think the same thing is true here. If the government bails out these places then they will do something else that they wouldn't normally do or take that extra chance because they know if there is a crash the government should help. I think as a nation we have to cut back on how we use credit. I know I used to live on money I didn't have and charge Christmas gifts and all kinds of things I couldn't buy. And yes I did get bailed out, and hopefully I'm wise and it doesn't happen again. But see I didn't have a house and car and I wanted to keep up with the other soccer dads. Hey maybe some great deal will get worked out and laws will get changed and great depression won't hit anytime soon. But if we don't go back to the only buy what you will have the money for after the interest is added and all the taxes the country will wind up in trouble yet again and nothing will be fixed. On a side note If I had extra with the way stocks crashed I might buy a bunch of them now. Or maybe I would wait for more panic to set in and have prices fall even more and then I could buy lots of stocks. When I was a kid (could be wrong) Banks where state wide and you couldn't have banks in multiple states, maybe that was a good idea. Hey if Key bank fell it would only Hurt People in this state. I'm not saying I'm an expert I just think that in a free economy where there is risk and rewards that someone who risks and loses everything shouldn't be saved. I'm not some huge Capitalist but if that is the system we are going to use lets stick with that system. Hey Socialism is fine but that isn't our economic system so we shouldn't use it to help the rich. I also fear that no matter what happens some how this is going to wind up making the rich richer and the poor poorer.

So much sunday sometimes nothing....

I'm sure I have said this In a blog before but I find it odd (maybe it just that I have a lot of interests not sure) that there is either nothing on TV I'm into or there is a bunch of stuff. A good example of that is Sunday night. 8-10pm on Fox is Animation Domination (The Simpsons and Family Guy are the best two of all four). Then at 9pm you have Desperate Housewives (I have no idea why I like that show) Also at 9pm (to graphic for me) is Dexter followed by Californacation [awesome show haven't seen the new season yet] then on HBO is Trueblood. That is followed by 3 new shows and then repeats after them it is Entourage (good), Little Britten USA (passed out on) couple minutes I saw was good and some animated show The Life of Tim or something like that. The way these shows line up they over lap with this show on just blanked if it is IFC or Sundance I think IFC called Z rock. It is a funny show about this rock band who because they haven't made it is also a kids band and does kids songs, it is a pretty good show. This is why I'm glad Time Warner has the Indemand stations that way you can try and catch stuff you missed once it get added to the station. What bothers me about Time Warner (maybe this has changed) is they and WIVB can't get along and it looks like they might lose them. I'll be honest I never watch channel 4 except For Football. I hope Time Warner knows that if people lose football games they will turn Cable off, I hope WIVB isn't trying to rip off Time Warner based on this fact. I have no idea who is in the right but they need to work it out so I can watch football. OH yeah and I forgot on Sunday Nights there is football to watch also if it is teams I'm into.

Chris Rock SNL

So not sure if this is going to work, I didn't But that is ok here is some Chris Rock Comedy from Bill Maher that kinda has to do with some of his Comedy Special that was on Last Night.

I thought Chris Rock was pretty Funny. It was kinda interesting since it was taped from 3 or four locations and mid joke he would switch outfits. I still found it funny though. The reason for the switch was that it was the same joke from a different location I found most of it funny, political, dick, race and all kinds of stuff was covered.

What I was trying to post of Video of was Tina Fey (i love you rape me with Polar so I can have your babies, she is hot) As Palin from SNL last night, it wasn't on You Tube yet, oh yeah did I also Mention I love Anna Faris (rape me please and make me your sex slave). It isn't just that she is hot I have seen her in a bunch of those goofy parody movies. Last nights episode was pretty good top to bottom. So here is a link to the page of the video
