Sabres and Crime

Today I bought 1 Sabres Tickets to 4 games yes one of them is a preseasson game but I want to see the penguins. I have been to some open practices but I don't think I've ever been to a pre-season game. I will admit that one of my tickets is only a few rows above the players bench so it might be tough to see but it will be interesting to have that view also. I got them because I'm a Sabres insider. They go on sale to the public on Saturday. I admit buying them this early makes me nervous cause what if a great concert comes to the Town Ballroom the same night but that is ok. I figured I should get a few games early before they all sell out. I'm going to see "The Blues", "Blackhawks" and "Senators". I saw in the news today an article about the Aud and that they may try to sell some of the stuff that is in there before they trash it. I will say this if I had home it would be so cool to have turnstyles as people walked in. I think it would be cool to have Rows of chairs in front of my huge TV, that would be awesome. But my place is small so there is no chance of that for me. If bass pro uses that site I wish they would keep the front entrance way as an enterance way to the store then have a little Area with the history of the AUD I think that would really be cool but doubt we will ever see that.

Here is what I wanted to talk about yesterday but didn't have time. I read this in the Buffalo News and will give my thoughts after this about crime in the city.
[box] Habitat for Humanity crew is robbed at gunpoint
Masked men confront workers on Peach St.
By Stephen T. Watson - News Staff Reporter
Updated: 09/13/07 8:27 AM

A group of volunteers renovating a home in Buffalo's Fruit Belt neighborhood through Habitat for Humanity was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday while taking a lunch break.

The two robbers surprised the volunteer workers and demanded their money as the group sat outside a house that's being rehabbed in the 200 block of Peach Street.

This is the first such crime in the 22-year history of Habitat Buffalo, officials said, and members said they hope news of the robbery doesn't hurt the work of the organization.

"Our volunteers are so passionate that they're not going to let this stop them," Margaret Talboys, publicity director for the group, told The Buffalo News late Wednesday. "We will do all we can to ensure the safety of our volunteers."

Habitat Buffalo, part of the national Habitat for Humanity organization, has helped build or rehab 170 homes over 22 years for city residents who can't afford to buy a new home at market price, Talboys said.

In that time, no volunteers have been personally victimized, and the only crimes of any kind have been rare, overnight burglaries targeting the work sites, she said.

Volunteers have been working at the Peach Street site for about two months, said Ron Talboys, president of Habitat Buffalo and Margaret's husband, who is on the Peach Street work crew. Each home project typically takes six to eight months.

The crew was sitting in plastic chairs on the house's front lawn eating lunch at about 12:30 p.m. when two men dressed in black burst upon the group, Ron Talboys and another volunteer said.

The two robbers, wearing hoodies and bandannas to obscure their faces, began pushing the volunteers around and demanding money.

"My initial thought was this was a prank," said Ron Talboys. That notion was dashed when he saw one of the robbers brandishing a handgun.

Many of the volunteers are retirees.

"I just started," said an 84-year-old Clarence resident. "It was my first day."

He said the robber with the gun stood 2 feet away from him, pointing the gun at him, when he demanded his wallet, which contained a credit card and $60.

Another Clarence man was robbed of his wallet and $40, while a third Clarence resident was robbed of $45.

A fourth victim, a Getzville resident, was hurt in his left shoulder when he was pushed off his chair. He gave $60 to the robbers.

After the robbers ran off, several volunteers called 911 on their cell phones to report the crime. A half-dozen Buffalo police patrol cars responded, Ron Talboys said.

Some workers left the site after the robbery, while others continued to work.

"I guess most of the people were more scared afterwards. . . . It happened so quickly," Ron Talboys said.

The Talboyses stressed that they are taking every precaution possible to ensure the safety of their volunteers. They plan to consult Buffalo Housing Court Judge Henry Nowak and Buffalo police have promised to beef up patrols in the area.

Both Ron Talboys and the 84-year-old Clarence man said they plan to return to the Peach Street site.

"We want to continue. This is our mission," Margaret Talboys said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Central District police at 851-4403.

The first thing I will say it is to bad that all the guys where on brake. It would have been nice if one of them wasn't and came behind these thugs with a rivet or nail gun and taken them out. Normaly I'm not one of those people who think eye for an eye and rapists should be raped in jail. But this case is different. You have people who come into a place to help that place and help the people who live there and then some thugs rob them. Yeah I understand that there are stick up kids and people who need money for what ever reason. But if you are going to rob someone at least have the moral code to rob other thugs, gangstas or drug dealers. Don't rob the people who are trying to improve the fruit belt. I admit I've been in the fruit belt or at least the out skirts of it for sports events. I have been to a few events at the stadium that replaced "The Rock Pile" and I used to go to Bison games there. I guess the point I was trying to get to is that most of the people there are good (I assume) and want to have nice things but then you have a few bad apples and I hope they don't take it back to how it used to be a long time ago.

1. Football
2. Hockey
3. Thanksgiving
4. Halloween
5. wearing Hoodies
6. the changing seasons
7. being able to eat chilli or soup with out having to get down to boxers only because of being over hot

9. The return of shows I haven't seen all summer
10. Wish I could say bonfires on the beach but that isn't really true for me.
11. Baseball playoffs I never watch that go on for ever and then hopefully lead into the start of 24

Below is some info in case you have a little extra money and want to get a car and have about 1 and a 1/2 million dollars.

[box] Exclusivity? Try Lamborghini's $1.4 million car

By Gilles Castonguay Wed Sep 12, 12:24 PM ET

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - What price exclusivity? If you ask Lamborghini, one million euros ($1.4 million) should do it -- before tax, of course.

In a bid to add more prestige to what it already has, the Italian maker of super luxury sports car unveiled the Reventon at Frankfurt's international autoshow, a very limited edition car that looks more like an arrow than anything on four wheels.

With the six-figure price tag, it is the most expensive car that it has ever built.

Needless to say, Lamborghini has already sold the 20 cars that it plans to build.

"As soon as the word got out, we sold out in four days," Chief Executive Stephan Winkelmann told Reuters, adding that they could have easily sold another 20.

Most of the buyers were men from the United States, Lamborghini's biggest market, he said.

Some of them are already owners of a Lamborghini, which competes with the likes of Ferrari in speed and exclusivity.

"We have among our customers movie stars, sports stars... (but) the majority of our clients are businessmen. Men. Lovers of luxury goods," said Winkelmann.

True to its tradition of cultivating an aggressive image, Lamborghini named the car after a bull that killed matador Felix Guzman in 1943.

Although it is based on its Murcielago LP640 model, Lamborghini's engineers took inspiration from a fighter jet and reworked the composite carbon fiber body to accentuate the sleekness and angular edges usually associated with its cars.

The engine is the same as the LP640: a 12-cylinder rocket that can propel the car from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

By comparison, the coupe version of the LP640 costs a relatively more modest 219,600 euros.

Lamborghini, which is run by Volkswagen's (VOWG.DE) Audi division, will start making the Reventon in January and deliver them in October.

The car, which came in an opaque grey at the autoshow, has a three-year warranty.[/box]

The famous Disney star Vanessa

So I guess Disney is going to keep her even after the nude pictures on line. I found a few pictures of her. I admit I don't even really now what that movie high school musical is but here are the pictures.

image
image
image
image
image

So at the site I went to I only found one nude one but I'm guessing there are more. The reason I put it under sex instead of pictures is that it really is about sex. I say if you want to take nude pictures that is fine and can be fun and if they are sex pictures even better. But if you are an actor you should at least know that only you should have them and have them locked up so only you can see them. Posting them online though can be fun if you are part of an adult site or if you are in an amature sex contest for a magazine or something. I think that people should look at this how it is as a boyfriend and girlfriend having fun, and there is nothing wrong with that. If some kid asks about the pictures all a parent has to say is that, the actor is really an adult playing a kid and that is an adult thing some adults do.

War Balls of Fury

Today I went to see the new Jet Li move called "War". I wasn't sure if they where going to go heavy guns or Martial Arts it was more guns. It takes place in San Fransisco (I doubt much of it was filmed there, that is often the case). With out giving to much away it is about a triad fighting the Yakuza. I thought it was pretty good and if that is your type of movie you would like it. Story line wise I liked it.Yes there is nudity and not only white girls. There is a quick shot of a Human buffet and I don't mean eating a person I mean where the food is on the girl. How can you not like a movie with lots of action, hot girls, hot cars and a story line all packed into under 2 hours.

There are a bunch of movies out right now that I was hoping to make be my second movie (Super Bad, 3:10 To Yuma, Shoot em up, Rush Hour 3) and the one I saw "Balls of Fury". I thought that it was funny, I really did. In terms of comedy I can't say who will laugh and who won't comedy is a very personal thing but I thought it was cool.

Season Starts in less then 24 hours +

It is kinda sad that summer is really over. But in good news the square is still going on and On Thursday NFL regular season starts. The Saints at The Colts. I'm hoping it will be a really good game, i think it is on NBC. I almost all ways watch 2 games on Sunday and try to watch some of the night game and some Of Monday Night Football. In terms of the bills I don't feel so good. I looked at there first 3 games and think they may go 0-3 but who knows.

On a side note I saw a movie on IFC called "The Bridge" it is about people who kill them selves by Jumping off The Golden Gate Bridge and they have interviews with the families of the jumpers. It is also a little more then just about that though since they have some footage of the bridge and areas around it. I never thought about how much that water is used for until I saw some of the movie.

Well that is my photographic look at (e:terry)'s and (e:mike)'s birthday party. I guess before hand I should have done one of those warning there may be adult materials in this journal. So I'm kinda like the FBI warning that comes at the end of movies after you have all ready recorded it and it is to late. This is my second picture post of the day so if you haven't all ready you can look at my previous post for other party pictures.

Before the party last night I went to The Chicken Wing festival thing and for those interested it is still going on today maybe if I feel like it later I'll put up some pictures from that, it was nice to run into (e:vincent) there. In terms of the party it was nice to meet (e:drew) and (e:Janelle) and (e:fellyconnelly) and (e:Lauaren) and (e:Jbeaty) and any other (e:peeps) that I may have forgotten . There where also a bunch of people who I don't know who they where but it looked like everyone was having a great time.

The porn brings up something that I don't know as I should admit to on here but I admitted it at the party so since I don't know who knows who I might as well give my version. I was never asked if I was stright at a party before and my answer to the lady was mostly then I was asked what that means and I said in porn I like dick. There is just something about a hot lady giving head. Now what I should have expanded on is only in porn well other then my own of course. But guys do nothing for me at all. I love checking out ladies breasts and asses and faces and oh yeah and if they have piercings and tats that is a bonus. Oh and thanks for the porn I put it to good use allready. Ok back to the pictures.

Elmwood Festival of the arts

First of all I have to kinda pass along I'm sorry, well sort of to 4 (e:peeps). Of course if they people I saw ware not you then I guess I don't owe you any thing. First of If that was you (e:drew) and (e:Janelle) watching the Brazilain martial arts them I'm sorry for not saying hi. I'll be honest I couldn't tell if it was you or not since I haven't met you in person before. My second set of I should have asked and taken the chance of looking like a fool if I was wrong is to (e:Lauren) and (e:fellyconnelly) If that was you two watching the belly dancing them again I'm sorry. Now that I saw the picture of you out last night I think it was but in person I wasn't sure. I did wind up buying some art from someone I bought art from at Allentown this year. Here are the pictures.

The Brawl

On Thursday I'm going to see the Bisons game. It is an event called the Ballpark brawl. After the Baseball game they will have wrestling matchs and set up a ring on the field. When I went on line today at the bisons site it said that they will have two matches around noon outside of the ballpark in a set up ring, I have to check that out I just hope the weather is nice, I have no idea what happens if it rains. I don't know who all the wrestlers are but I know who some of them are and they will have some wrestling legends there also. Another event I'm looking forward to at Dunntire Park is the Chicken Wing Festival and that is Sept. 1 and 2 and is a good time. I wish I could remember where I had that great tasting wing last year that was an italian wing of some kind that was very good. I guess there will be some live music and stuff for the kids this year from what I have read online.

The Fair:Animals

So On Wen. I went to the fair and to see Moto X freestyle. The plan was on Thursday to go get my pictures done and pick them up and download them and up load them here but due to and unplanned rest that didn't happen and I never made it to the square either. But then I went back to the fair on Friday for the 12 stones and Daughtry concert and had a great time. So then yesterday I saw the Bus Demolition and figure 8 racing and had a good time. I have to admit the figure 8's are really fun to watch, not just for the collisions but for all the near misses it is really a good idea for the people watching. In terms of pictures I thought that maybe instead of doing them by days I can do them by type so I thought the best place to start would be with the Animals. I will be the first to admit that I don't know much about why different kinds of cows look different or what kinds of birds all of these are. But maybe some of you will enjoy them. I do have to admit that when I first saw rabbits in cages it did kinda bother me. But this year the cages don't seem so small.

I"m not sure why Birds and Rabbits where in the same building, the only thing I can think of is that it is because they where all caged.

this next set of pictures is from 2 different days. There was a new thing where you could pet a sting ray, my sister touched one but there was no way I was going to. Those aren't the only animals they had there but they where the main attraction.

image
image
image
image
image
image

I Don't think it was there the entire time of the fair but I'm not sure on Friday i noticed a place called Nickel City Exotics. I have to admit paying the dollar it cost to see all the animals was worth it, what a deal. Some of them where really active and it was just fun to watch them run around.

It is at this point that I think I will include animals that are in the Parade that they have at about 5pm. I just wish I was Quick enough to grab a picture of the birds they release at the start of the parade. They won't all be parade animals but they will be included.

I'm not sure how well you can see it or not but on those last two shots that is a butterfly I wish I was quick enough to catch it flying. There may be a part 2 to this of pictures from the fair itself and not just the animals we shall see. I hope everyone had a great weekend.
