Goodyear? Football
The reason for my original post was to let people know about some sports that are coming up this weekend. I got an email saying that the NFL network will be Carrying A footballl game I believe on Sunday it should be the Hall of Fame game. Also on Thursday night the TV Coverage of the X-Games begings. Sometimes the sports change so I'm not sure what all the events are but watching them is allways fun. If there are any racing fans out there I'm pretty sure they will still be doing rally car. Then they allways have skateboard, BMX and Motocross events of some kind. I'm sure EXPN.com has more info and maybe even espn.com may also.

Carvings at City Hall
Before the square on Thursday I checked out some carvings that they have currently in the circle in front of City Hall. They have some that need support and then there is one that you can guess who it is. I guessed wrong according to the e-mail I got back. Here are the pictures I took.
Well I went to use the multiple upload tool and when I opened up my pictures none of them showed up so something is wrong there.
Well I left firefox and tried in MSN and it is working now so not sure what the problem is really. So here are a few more of Downtown Buffalo.

Garden Walk
The above link leads to my garden walk pictures on webshots.com I wish I had time to put them all up. So for now just a sampling of the pictures I took.
This First set is what I took pictures of last it is at the place across from walgreens and is much bigger then it looks I think it is a pretty cool place.
My walk did take me down to Massachutes and around the west side and I had forgoten what the hood was like. There where some amazing houses on orton st. near klenhans and allen.
I hope you guys and gals like the pictures and I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Garden Walk and Simpsons
1). I have nothing to cook or to bring
2). I have something I'm going to tonight
It was nice to run into (e:PMT) and (e:tinypliny) at the Garden Walk today. I wish I had the time to post pictures hopefully some time Sunday. Again I didn't think to take any pictures of them (yeah bad habit I know). I only saw a couple streets but what I saw was pretty cool or at least some of it was. In terms of pictures I also want to post the ones I took of the wood carvings before the square on Thursday.
I saw The Simpsons movie. I really like it. I can't say anything really without giving anything away. So I will just say that I liked that they still fit in Fox, and Disney Bashing. I also liked that they had some stuff in the credits. There are other parts that I really liked but if I explained them I would give away parts of the story.

Toronto Jays game
The new plaza thing on the Canadian Side.
entering Toronto
We found a place to park right across from "The Skydome" Yeah I know it is really Rogers Center but I still call it that. when we drove up they made you pop the trunk of your car and had these things that looked like they looked under your car. It turns out the place we parked you took and elevator that would take you right into the stadium or if you had someplace else to go in that same building I guess you could get there also if you had some reason to be there other then a game. That part was pretty cool. I then understood why they did the checks of the cars.
Here are some pictures from the place and the game. Where we where seated was a good place to see the game from but not sure the pictures I took will show much but I may try a few game pictures here they are.
Like with both Toronto and with Big League Parks or anywhere there is a monopoly on food lunch was expensive. I almost bought these Asian noodles with chicken I should have. They looked like they might be good. I liked my burger but I think i should have gotten the noodles.
The Blue Jays Beat Seatle. All in all a great day. It was kids day and they had Mascots there also. One thing I didn't get a picture of was of this little 10 year old doing both anthems.
Then it was time to roll on out of Toronto and head home.
On the way home we stopped to eat. I'm not sure where this is exactly other then that it is somewhere around Burlington. I had myself a nice early dinner. I quick review. It seemed they had a lot of very cute and young (But not to young, you know legal) wait staff. This one blond looked modelish. The service was good. The food I got was good but the bread wasn't what I was expecting the decor was interesting. There was a wall with chairs on it. I wish I would have taken more inside pictures.
Hope everyone had a great weekend here is one shot on The Peace Bridge on the way home.

Sci-fi Sunday and tats
The pictures I found starting at Miami Ink's web site and from there found a few more. What got me thinking about posting pictures is that 1. I like Miami Ink the show 2. I like tattoos 3. at the Italian fest I saw a few ladies with lots of art on there arms and that was inspiring.
I was going to post about how I watched a few movies on Sunday so I might as well finish up that thought. The first one was really cool graphicly it was "A Scanner Darkly". I guess what they did is film everything and then draw over what they filmed. It makes the animation at some points like from a distance look really real. There is a depth to it I can't explain. I really liked it. I don't know if it didn't have the awesome look to it if the story was enough. But hey it is about drugs and cool technology and survallince so it rocked. the second Was "The Island". That is a fun movie to watch. With out going into two much Detail People have clones made so they can live a full life. But what they don't know is that for the tissues to grow right they can't just keep them vegated they have to live and some of them learn to question things. I guess you could call all 3 movies SCi-fi sort of. The third Movie Was Narnia. I have seen it before but I figured it was a good time to open up the DVD and watch the adventure again. I again enjoyed it like I did the first time I saw this new version of it.
On Sunday Nights I like to watch John From Cincinatti. Granted it might not really be sci-fi. But there are weird things in it like a guy floating into the air and some people being healed. I think it is more spritual then any thing else but you can call it sci-fi. It is about a disfuctional and crazy family of surfers (not all of them). I think it is a good show. That leads into The Dead Zone. I admit I watched a few seasons before I ever saw the movie and I think like most Stephen King movies it was based on a book I didn't read but very good. I admit Meadowlands isn't sci-fi but I like it. I heard someone say it is like Desperate house wives meets twin peaks. That sounds like a good Description to me.

art cars web
The other day I posted about a video I saw on Yahoo about art cars. I myself like art cars and have taken pictures when Buffalo had art on wheels. with my art cars search I didn't come acroos any of those but maybe art on wheels will be another day and see what I come up with that way. Here are a bunch of pictures that I found on line. None of these pictures are mine and I didn't take any of them.

Fest Transforms
07/11/2007 2:00 PM, Yahoo! Music

Metallica frontman James Hetfield was stopped by security officials at London's Luton Airport for allegedly having a "Taliban-like" beard.
The band was on its way to perform at Live Earth on Saturday (July 7).
Hetfield was briefly questioned by airport officials until they realised who he was. No explanation was given for why he was stopped, but his bandmates speculated that it was due to his beard.
Meanwhile, Metallica's new album is due out in early 2008, with bassist Robertt Trujillo telling Blabbermouth: "There's a lot of everything, man. There's speed on this. There's a couple of tracks where you're gonna go, 'Wow!' and I know you're gonna like it because it has the flavor of the old. But it has this kind of groove and power behind it that I think is us today." [/box]
what is in the above box sounds like it could be old news sort of but it was just on Yahoo's main page but it is a couple days old. But what I find strange is that they are now giving people a hard time based on a beard most likely. The world we are living in is gettting strange.
Today I went to see Tranformers. It was what I expected a big exsplovsive movie. I liked it. That being said I think there are a couple things they could have done better. In robot form the guys should have looked more like what they transformed from. Facialy Megatron didn't look at all like how he did in the cartoon. But I still had a good time.
Next I went to the Italian Heritage Festival. I had a good time but was hampered by the rain but I still got a few pictures and ran into Tony&Megan and talked to them for a few. I never did get that Canolli because of the rain mostly. I had to have some fried dough, then I tried these beef sandwich that was very good and a Steak Kabob.
Italian Idol
I don't remember the name of the actual place but there was some interesting stuff inside the Heritage place. Here are a few pictures.
I didn't get any pictures of the Illo dipollo stuff but here are a few more pictures from my day.
I hope everyone has a great rest of what ever is left of their weekend.
