Godsmack

Short little post that I had a great time at Godsmack's show last night they really where good. There is a good review of it in the news today. I like that they started out with AC/DC and the video screen they had was pretty cool. Sully was all over the stage. I like that he yells at people for sitting down that is pretty funny, but I do get it. The Double drum solo part was awesome all in all a great show. I was going to take my camera but with it saying no cameras right on the ticket I figured why take the chance. Plus I was in the first row of the Balcony in the Lodge section. Oh one cool thing was that when they tossed the sticks into the fans they did get two of them up into 1st row balcony not my section but that is still prettty fucking cool. Stemm kicked ass to, I haven't seen them in years. Ok I think I gotta take off and maybe go to the marina. I thought I put pictures of the memorial up on the site but if I did I can't find them. I will check again. Ok have a great holiday and I hope everyone looks forward to next weekends party weekend.

Chevelle Movies

So Last night I went to the Town Ballroom to see Chevelle, Finger Eleven and Sparta. I had a pretty good time. I had never heard of sparta and knew known of there music but I enjoyed there set. They where followed by finger eleven who I do know some of there stuff but not a lot and really enjoyed them. I thought Chevelle kicked ass. I don't know if you would really call it an encore but i think they did like 3 songs after they came back on stage. I really had a great time. It didn't hurt that there where some good looking girls near where I was watching the stage from. When I left I should have gone to Icon to see my cousin play. The only thing was that I didn't have enough funds to get home at that time and I didn't feel like I would want to walk at that time and I allready had a long day so I just went home.

Today's plan was going to go see Sherk the third or the New Pirates movie and then go on Elmwood around the Hoyt lake area and take pictures. But when I walked out after Shrek was over it wasn't that nice out (little wind and no sunshine) so I decided to see pirates and got in during the previews. One thing I will say is I'm glad I'm one of the people who likes to see where things are filmed the music or if there are any gags like fake or alterted credits often in comedy movies. Reason being is that there is more of the movie after the credits end. Overall I thought the action, acting and story was great. Visually it was very fun and I had a great time watching. But that being said I didn't find my self emotionaly attached to the characters. But maybe some of that is that it seems like I saw the second one a week ago. But most likely it was only last summer. I'm not saying I didn't like the characters at all, because I did. I don't know how to say what I mean really. Great movie. I also liked Shrek. I don't think that it was as funny as the two pervious ones but I still think it was pretty good. I like that they attack Fairy tales in it like in the previous ones. They even kinda attack plays or maybe even you could say broadway. As I'm watching the end credits I see that both Eric Idle and Jon Clesse did voices. I thought the one character was Jon's but I didn't know about Eric Idle. I wonder if it is because of "Search for the holy grail" and "Spamalot" or if it was just for their voice talents.

On sunday I'm going to see Godsmack at shea's that should be a great time. I'm not sure who the opening act is there was a contest to see who wins that spot and I'm not sure who won it. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend and I hope I see a lot of you on friday night.

"Real World"

Firstly I and anyone reading this should be outside it was and I assume still is so great out. So last night I was watching MTV and watched a Real World Las Vegas update show. They are having a reunion show. I'm not sure how long they filmed it for but I thought they said a few weeks. It looks like it might get pretty interesting. But during the show I saw an add for the next real world they cast the viewers pick the cast. What I'm not sure about is if all the videos will be voted on and the top 7 get in or if it is just for a couple of spots. I don't know if they will do any balacing like that there has to be so many guys or at least one minority. But it sounds like an interesting idea. The only one down side is that there must be a lot of peoples videos to watch. I'm not sure how it will exactly work but hopefully I'll check it out more when I have a good amount of time online. I still think they should do a Real World Buffalo or at least Toronto.

Holiday Weekend

I don't know what I'm doing for the holiday yet other then I don't have to work. On friday Night I'm going to see Chevelle and Finger eleven at the Town Ballroom. That should be a lot of fun and a pretty good time. My cousin is suppposed to be playing at The Icon later that night but I don't see it listed on the Icon's website so I must dig a little deeper and see if I can find it. Then on Sunday Night Is Godsmack at Shea's that will be my first time seeing them that I know of I'm looking forward to that as well. Hopefully I will also at least get in one movie. Currently thinking about Shrek the 3rd. The other two where so good. I like how they have adult humor in there and kinda bash fairy tales. But we shall see what happens. I was also thinking that maybe if it is a nice day on saturday going up to the falls and seeing if the maid of the mist is going. I havn't been on that in a long time. I think it might make for some interesting pictures also. If I take any of the falls I will post them. But between two concerts I may just want a day to chill or maybe just relax and just watch movies.

24(simpsons) Heroes Finals

So Today is a boaring post about TV but oh well the two shows that are on tongight are both pretty good. Tonight on fox is the 2 hour final of this seasons 24. It is looking like it should be pretty good. I just hope they tie up all the lose ends and that they have some great action. On a side note the simpsons had what I thought was a good parody of 24 on last night. I'm not sure if it is really a parody if you have two of the actors from the show playing them selves but I thought it was a good and funny tribute. Then at 9 pm on NBC is the final of Heroes. That should be pretty good as well. I will burn that and hopefully get to watch it this week.

Weekend Photos

First of all it is to bad that the sabres lost and won't be in the finals but they really only have themselves to blame.I think they where good enough but didn't play that way. I think they may have been jinxed by people saying publicly that the cup was theres and by others making there own version of the cup.

No to the real point of this journal pictures of course.
Here are some pictures from around "my hood"

The ones On the highway where on the way to my cousin's graduation dinner at Tony Rome's. It is a pretty cool place to eat. I thought the food was very good. Plus they have frank Sinatra stuff all over the place and you can hear him sing depending on how loud it is in there. Here are a few pictures.

If you don't like cats then this is a good place to stop. Even though it is my sis's kitten or maybe it is a cat now it has kinda become the family pet.

Heroes Marathon Saturday

First of all I admit I like my TV. Well not really the TV but lots of different stories. There are all sorts of different marathons that stations will put on sometime. I should have posted this yesterday but I forgot. Heroes is on sci-fi starting at 9am on Saturday and they are showing all 21 episodes. So if anyone has missed any or needs to get caught up it is a good time to do so. I can't imagine sitting down for that long and watching all of that. Off course if you trust it you could DVR or TIVO it and then fast forward out the adds. But I thought you all might like to know about it. I'm currently caught up on the show. for more info you can check out Sci-fi''s website.

Hopefully on Saturday I will make it to the 24 to see if there is anything I need or could use at the Garage Sale. The only thing is anything that I could use is heavy so then I would have to haul it somehow so I doubt there is anything I would want but still going to try and swing by. A cousin of mine is graduating and there will most likely be some post graduation get to gather but no idea when or what.

I noticed that I had over 200,000 views that seems like a lot to me but I have no idea where that compares to others on here. A few other stats as of my current writing of this. There have been 473 comments on my journals. I've posted 1,705 comments on journals. I have 833 journals. 2,439 images on my journals. 245,089 words I've written and I have not uploaded any videos.

Today I messed around with my camera and tired out the video. I should have shot something out side as a test first to see how things come out. But I shot two of my sis's cat they are both really bad. They are dark and I sound like an idiot talking to it and there are shadows. That being said I'm going to try to upload one and see if it works. It is in quicktime and I'm not sure if that will agree with (e:strip) or not but I will try it as a test. If it works then I may have to get more practice and shot other videos and see how they do here. I do have one other idea if it works but we will hold off on that. I know there are two settings maybe if i used the higher res one it would be better but here goes nothing.

Ok I went to try to upload them and they didn't show up that must mean that quicktime format doesn't work with (e:strip) I guess I have to figure out how to convert one if I want to post one, oh well. Have a great weekend and don't forget the sabres on Saturday unless you are watching heroes also at 2pm.

Pictures I should have posted

First of all to any of you mothers out there Happy Mothers day. I also extend this to any of you who are mothers to pets also. Granted they most of the time aren't as much work as kids but that isn't all ways true.

Now on to some pictures. In a previous Journal I mentioned that When I was walking down Bryant I noticed a place that used to be boarded up with out the boards so here are two pictures of that and some flower pictures from that same street.

Down at Buff State they are building a new building, I can't remember what it is exactly but I think it has something to do with a gallery or rockwell hall. I do remember that people where upset because the builders never spoke with the community to get there input. But here a few few pictures of that.

Here are some flower pictures that I have taken as I have walked around my neck of the woods. I will openly admit that Matt takes much better flower pictures then I do. I was just trying to see what I could get and as an overview picture I think they are ok. Some of these pictures are of other things also.

The Kitten there is on Allen as we where getting a mothers day gift at the gallery there. All those hamburgers was on mothers day at Missippi muds. That reminds me has anyone tried Sample yet? I know I have not but I mean to.

The pictures of the action from the bisons game I went to are kinda boaring so I figured maybe put up some of buster and my lunch and that might be kinda fun.

New Building vs. Progress

First things first I didn't go to the bisons game last night, I just wasn't up for it for some reason. I may go to the plaza thing for the sabres but I think I will watch the game at home.

I was searching online for pictures of Buffalo. In the process I saw some post cards of Buffalo and buildings that are no longer standing and how Buffalo used to look. I don't think I will go there very often but I did join Buffalo Rising. They had comments about the New Tower that is supposed to go up at where the park lane is. There is also a dicusion going on here about it also. Those two caused me to have an idea that I think would help the presvation moviement and also help progress and new buildings be built. It might even help fight of the NIMBY movement. When ever a building is torn down or emploded and however it is gotten rid of. Then there must be pictures and video of it and a history writen for it before it can be demolished. This would also be true of and Victorian Houses as well. This history would then me made into a presentation at the new site. That way when someone goes to a parking lot they can get the history of what was there before. Once a building is built then that history site is built right in on the first floor. For the history part you could also have old photos and maybe even articles about things that happenend there. I think it would be a good idea to expand that to buildings that have been put up allready. Why not even have history tours where people could tour buildings and get the history of what Buffalo used to look like. I think that this would help both the people who want anything that isn't being used torn down and a new all glass building in there and those who don't want anything torn down. It would be a good way to help persevrve the history of Buffalo.

One of the things that caused me to have this idea is the current compromise at the building at 120 delaware. I read an article in the Buffalo News about how they where going to tear down this old theatre but before they did an agreement was reached to remove the historical stuff from the building. I thought that was a great compromise. So if you can delay constrution for a month why not just pass a law and make it part of all demolishion plans. I think it is a lot better then everytime someone tries to bring in a new hotel or anyonther plan there is a law suit. I know there would still be some. I know buildings should try to be saved if they can be used but this would be a back up if they can't be saved.

Bisons Game

It was nice to have a day off from work today, it really was. I went to the Bisons game with my Sis. The bisons wound up losing but I still had a good time. I think I may go again on Friday for the 1st Bash of the year from what the ad said today. I think it might be taking the place of one of the colded/winded/Snowed out opening day game. I havn't made up my mind yet. About 20 minutes to the sabres game. Well it is back to work on friday again.
