Boarded Buffalo?

The pictures I'm putting up are from my "Hood". For those of you who may read this and don't know, I live on the west side of Buffalo. If you walked down Elmwood to Bryant and then down Bryant to Richmond that gets you to Conneticut(however it is spelled) st. Not that I ever do but if you went down conneticut a few blocks you would be about a block away from my house.

I took those picture today on my way to and from the bank. The strange part is that those two houses next to each other are next to the church on Richmond, what is going on there? One of them is boarded up from the outside and looks like a window is open and the other one looks like it is boarded from the inside. Why is that shop on Elmwood Boarded up? I looked in the window and it looked like there was stuff inside like they are still open and there are posters or signs in the windows, What is going on in this town? Boarded up places in my part of the "Hood" isn't so strange. The multiple porch house is verry close to me and I just noticed the boards yesterday. Is the boards a good sign that people arn't there or is it bad (I don't know enough to know)?

I mis spoke about Richmond a little bit This picture was from around the Oct. Storm near Utica I think.

X traveling

So the winter X games are on TV just under 2 hours at 9pm and that got me thinking about photography. I thought it would be really cool to be someone who takes sports pictures. I don't mean where the camera does all the work but where you know about lighting and film speed and shutter speed and all that stuff. Granted unless you work for a specific mag or publication it might be tough to sell your photos. I wonder how that works. That got me to thinking another cool job would be to travel to differant cities and take pictures of the place or maybe even events. Say for example to fly out to San Fran for their gay pride perade or to somewhare to take pictures of one of the New Years day parades or even just the city itself. Granted I don't drive and don't really want all the hassles that come with a car. But it would be kinda cool to just say " I wonder what Phildelphia looks like" and then drive there and take photographs.

24 Xtreme Prison Heroes

First of all Happy Birthday Paul you are now moving into your 30's, there isn't much of a change really. Things change becuase you do something differant or relook at where you are and where you want to be. But Just a day or the number of years you have been here dosn't change that.

Also On my previous post I didn't really finish it Like I would have liked to but it is good enough, except I forgot to say that the Bandits won I forget the final score but it was in the low twenties like maybe 22 to something in the teens.

For those of you who like Snowboarding, sking, or even snowmobile racing you should check out www.expn.com for more info about Winter X Games they will be start on TV on Thursday Night and be on throughout the weekend. I belive all the events will be on live and there is a way you can watch stuff on line to, I don't think every event is on TV.

About 2 hours till 24. I will be watching and taping it. At the same time I will be taping Heroes on NBC. I did start watching that last year towards maybe the midway of the season and it is verry good. If you like comics you would enjoy it. It is a drama but also is an acation show to. But before I can watch 24 I will be watching Prison Break, I don't think it is as good as 24 but it is still a preaty good show.

I was also Hoping to talk a little bit about Adult Swim last night (taped it) but they moved stuff around again so I only saw two shows. Robot Chicken is a show that the few times I have seen it really like but don't find funny they had a great take with G.I Joes figures that was preaty cool. Then I also watched Smoking Gun. That is interesting they take real stories that they have files from on "The Smoking Gun" dot come and they animate them out", I think that is preaty interesting.

Bandits Vs. Swarm

First of all if anyone is interested in the pictures from Paul's 30th Birthday they are the journal below this one.

Before I get into the Bandits game there is one picture I have to post. I saw this at the bus stop on my way home from downtown Buffalo. Until I publish this I won't know how readable it is but there is one thing I find odd that she is 15 and Has a lower back Tattoo. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that but if you had parents that would let you do that then that could be a bad sign or maybe they where really cool. I guess I shouldn't really judge. But the second thing that I have never understood is why are most missing photos in Black and white. I understand the making the copies and them being black and white but you would think it would be better to spend a little bit more and have them in color, again not judging.

Paul's 30th

Happy Birthday Paul!!!

I had A nice time at the party. A couple quick notes the grape vodka was really cool. In the pictures somewhere this is a picture of (e:lilho)'s boots and the pictures I took don't really do her outfit justice, I'm sure if you compare my pictures to some that get posted you will see what I mean. Again I should have been a little more social but I had a good time. It was nice to see (e:liberated). I hope everyone likes there pictures, again I know these won't be in the exact order. Oh yeah that Pinata was Preaty interesting. It seemed people where more interested in breaiking it open then what was inside of it. So when I woke up this morning I saw the end of a cartoon called Viva Pinatas where the characters are pinatas of course not dirty ones with huge cocks or any sex shapes but I could be wrong I only saw the last five minutes of it, but kinda ironic.

Oh if anyone is looking for anything to do tonight I have a few sugestions. First of all I belive it is all sold out but maybe there are scaplers not sure for sheas or not but the band Supernova is there. I would love to have gone. I almost bought a ticket months ago but before I did I checked to see if the Bandits where playing that day and they are Tonight at HSBC Arena Vs. The Minosotta Swarm. The Sabres are also playing so you could go out to a bar or someonehouse and watch that. I was talking with (e:dragonlady) last night and it remindend me of an event tonight that looks like it might be preaty cool, I also saw a poster for it on Elmwood today. She didn't ask me to post it and neither did anyone else I just thought some of you might like it.

Then on Sunday there are two Football games (Assuming we don't lose fox) to watch both could be amazing games. Then back to work on Monday I have a fealing this weekend is going to fly by way to fast.

Razing the Aud

If my understand is correct now that Bass Pro if they ever come here won't be using the Aud that has brought about the Idea of razing it. I think that is a horid idea. Granted that no one has come up with an idea that has worked for the Aud as of yet. But just because you havn't had anyone try to use it, dosn't mean that you tare the building down. I admit that the way the arena is set up that it would be tough to use it for anything else with out a lot of building taking place inside the building. Then i got a crazzy idea. Why not use it as an ice rink or at least the rink part of it. You could maybe even use it as an arena for concerts and things that wouldn't get a crowd as big as HSBC but bigger then sheas or that needs a bigger stage, like a small circus. As cool as new arenas are one of the problems is that they arn't verry acomdating and the seats are close togather. From what I remember of the Aud that wasn't really the case. But maybe some seats could be taken out and then the seats spread apart then the seats that are pulled out could be sold or auctioned off maybe even for charity. When there warn't any events it could be a open as Museum with pictures and information about Buffalo over the years. My point is if you go to Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens is still there. You can say what you want about Leaf fans but I went to a Lacrosse Game at Maple Leaf Gardens when the Air Canada Center (ACC) was allready open. Did the Toronto Rock wind up moving to the ACC yes but the Garden is still there. I also think that taring down the Rock pile after the Bisons moved was another bad idea. I understand that that turned it into a great football field and a cool track. But they could have done that with out destroying most of the building and just opdated the things that needed to be modernised.

Work Better and stuff

First of all I can't say to much about work. But that being said it has gotton better. The reason is that our former boss is back to being our boss again. It should stay that way and hopefully his boses don't get any ideas about changing things up.

On a side note Sabres just took the lead. I know a few people at the game tonight.

Oh the other day in chat I mentioned I wanted to get Paul something for his Birthday well my plan went up in smoke verry quickly. The place that I saw it on sale a couple weeks ago only had a verry (to me) at least expesive version of it and the other place I saw something simalur but not as good didn't have it anymore. So for that I'm sorry. Now why would I post this.... Well I was talking about maybe getting him something in chat when he was online so I thought I should mention it in a post. So I know it isn't as good but I gave a donation to the site so maybe it will help. The part that makes me feal bad is that when I first saw what a saw I should have just bought it (even though then I didn't know a birthday was coming up). Well I guess I learned that when you see something you should just buy it at the time.

Curse of Ice

Pictures I took of the ice storm hope you (e:peeps) like them. I think one of them might be oreinted the wrong way, yeah oops. I also went to see "Curse of the Golden Flower". It was verry good but it wasn't really a "Kung Fu" movie. Yes there where battles but they where more like war battles not one on one like in say a Jet Li movie. Also if you are looking for a happy ending type of movie it isn't that either. I guess it would be a period piece or maybe a tradgy. There is a good review of it in artvoice. I liked it but it wasn't what I thought it would be. It has to be one of the most visualy stunning movies I have seen. I'm not just talking about all the hot ladies in the film. Look below the ice pictures for pictures from the movie. Oh yeah 24 was awesome last night and should be just as great tonight.

Bandits Pictures

I admit that if you arn't into Lacrosse then this post will bore you. I admit some of the pictures are kinda strange since I shoot through glass. I used to have a camera that had a glass setting so you wouldn't get any distortion or anything oh yeah plus players move around. Oh and for you guys and maybe even some of the girls here there are pictures of the Bandetes (how ever you spell it). When you use the mutliple upload tool and do more then one picture at a time by using the control key for some reason the pictures get out of order but for these pictures and most of mine I guess order dosn't matter so here goes, by the way the Bandits won. On a side note I did have a good time last night (friends of the family) but was kinda upset cause I was the only one who wanted to see football or even the sabres so it didn't get watched oh well.
