Soyeon's Site

[inlink]soyeon,84[/inlink] I admit that I wish I had more time to look at all of Soyeons site but it is very nice. There are lots of pictures of her. Very nice pictures I most admit. I navagated around it and clicked on stuff that I don't know what it said but still enjoyed myself.

Handball

Handball, waterpolo, Hockey, lacrosse, and basketball all are kinda simalur. yes I know they are very differant but I enjoy watching all of them. But some some ways they are very much the same. Granted handball is not on very often but I hope it will be on more since the olympics exposure of it. I have played all of those sports once. I'm not saying I was any good at them but they are all fun. I think Lacrosse(indoor) is the best live. But Handball is cool to. I wonder if there is a prohandball league that is televised anywhere.

Closing the games

I watched the closing ceremonies of the opympics on CBC and some of the american coverage as well. I Liked it but thought the olympic opening was better. But I did like all the athletes togather as a celebration.

Elmwood Arts

I just went to the elmwood arts festival thing. It is nice. There are things that I like there. Like the ladies at JP Bullfeathers, wow. I like where this one lady had her cell phone, I think it would have ben funny to see her answer it. The thing is that the art that I liked I couldn't see in my house. The pictures where a little expensive then I would still have to get them framed and they where odd sizes. The multiple angles all put togather do look very cool, I will think about it and maybe buy one. I may go back later today I'm unsure. If not I will go again on sunday.

Ideas to grow this site

I know that paul on one of his blogs said he would like to get more people to join here. When ever sometihing grows it also does change some. I don't know what the aim is so some of these ideas might be a bit off. I know the chalk idea got me to check out the site so here goes.

In front of a bar or mutlple bars as a sign or on side walk:
"Did You Meet Any (E:Peeps) tonight go to www.elmwoodstrip.com to find out"

In front of the Verizon store:
"Need more people to talk to try www.elmwoodstrip.com"

At Canisius, UB and or Buffstate as a sign:
"New to Buffalo Learn more about it at www.elmwoodstrip. com"
[Buffstate it would read new to elmwood instead of Buffalo]

A sign anywhere:
"angry or upset and you need a place to vent then go to www.elmwooodstrip.com"

Those are a few ideas that I thought of. They might work or they might not. They might not bring in the crowd that Paul is looking for. They could bring in lots of people if they worked, plus it is a cheap way to advertise. Just a thought.

[Jet Li's] Hero

I just saw Hero it was very good. But I'm a fan of His type of movie. I don't like period pieces to much but it was still very good. I'm not sure how Terentino has to do with it but he gets some kind of credit for it.

What is Art?

[inlink]ajay,100[/inlink]

The question of what is art is a good one. That can be debated for hours and hours. That is just on the nudity topic alone and where that line is crossed. That is not even including the differant forms of art. I think that anything that is done in one way but is altered can be considerd art. For example I used to be a stock boy. Yes anyone can do stock and fill the shelves. But When I filled Sobe I couldn't have two simalur colors close to each other. It looked better and made them more noticable to have opposite colors next to each other. I did that on my own and no one every told me to do it that way. Back then most of the bottles looked kinda the same. I would not say that stocking a shelf with drinks is art. But you can use it as a form of expressing artistic vision in a certain confined way.

I think that the music as art concerts are important because I think Music is an art and it is very important for kids to learn about music if they want to. Music dosn't have to be about being commerical or being famous it can be about expressing yourself artisticly.
We are lucky to be able to have that debate here in meny countries they can not. I admit I do like art but don't go to see it that often, Yes I need to get out and see more of it. I am honest, I need to go to more then Just allentown and music as art. When I say art I mean painting and sculptures as opposed to movies and music they are art to but I put them in a differant catogory. Ok enough of my rambilings.

Missed work Learned about N.Korea

I woke up late today so I missed my ride to work. I could have gone in but I would have missed 2-3 hours plus I was tired. But I called in sick so I will get paid for the entire day.

Last night I taped 2 shows on the history chanel. One was called "inside North Korea" and the other was "The Real Dr. Evil" both where about North Korea. They where both very good and very interesting. I'm not that very political but there where still good. I think some one who is more into human rights and gettng invovled with other countries would enjoy it more, but all of it might be old to them. Some might say why do I care about North Korea. One i have seen lots of pictures of South Korea. One of my cousins Has taught English to kids in Soul for a few years I forget how meny. Secondly if there is to be another world war I think North Korea is where it might start. Thirdly I'm not a fan of Bush but North Korea I do think may really be part of the Axis of evil. I don't know enough to tell. It is a much more complicated sitution than Iraq.

I can't say as I know what The US should do in regards to N. Korea but I did enjoy what I learned, some of it was very emotional and you could understand both sides of the story, from what I saw.
