THis HSBC Tower is stupid

So today at work I started to read this story about the HSBC Tower. I had to stop this entire thing is so stupid and so crazy and makes no sense.

1. The Tower they are in is fine and works, you don't need to move anywhere.
2. The signs on that building are so high up everyone in downtown Buffalo sees it, once you know that it says HSBC it is the worlds largest add. You can see that Building on the over passes out by the Boulvard Mall. That is a signature building that you can see way down elmwood (never tested to see how far), that is great advertising and has a value you can't really price.
3. Why build a new building when you have empty space in downtown, Um Hello the Statler Towers anyone???????????????????????

Don't even get me started on the fact that people want to do all kinds of land transfer stuff, when HSBC hasn't even made up their mind. ARGH

Cockabilly Roadshow Part 1

So at hoping to get back to the garden walk but after I posted some and the web crashed I'm sick of posting them. So I thought I would post some Photos from The Coney Island Cockabilly Side show (or what ever it's offical name is). It was a great time to see bands that are rockabilly and to see the sideshow stuff.

So as an example of how this show kinda went down is an act would preform then as the change over was going on they would do the side show stuff, like the big rat trap, or mouse trap or the guy getting out of the stright Jacket:

Next Up Jason and The Punknecks I really like the chick she is really hot and had a great voice and sounds so sweet of stage, oh yeah the hair is awesome also, plus the music was pretty good to, sorry I don't know enough about it to describe it....

Well time wise that is it for now, I really need like my own computer that is by the TV so that I can do Photo stuff like download and upload with out missing any thing, by the way speaking of that does anyone know of (yes have norton) a legit free place that scans your computer for virus. The way the internet just slows to a crawl sometimes makes me wonder......

Garden Walk 2010 part 1 of?

So I first of all have to say that it was nice to go to some places I haven't seen before, then stumble onto Gardens I didn't even plan on going to. I thought it was great and funny some guys on Richmond where selling Beer for a Buck and set up a Kissing Booth. Then in Grandma's Garden she had food she wanted you to eat, wish I was brave enough to eat the Vegan Chilli, with her she wanted to show people what they used the garden for, I saw a lot of great places and had a good time, even with getting soaked. We shall see how many pictures go up with the small amount of time......

464 and Blink Gallery

So I'm really liking summer so far. I didn't think that their would be outside multi media stuff at 464, I would have liked to stay for it, but had some what of a headache and figured it was time to go. I think the Headache was caused by those two color 3D glasses. What is supposed to happen is your brain is supposed to take the two images of your eyes and over lay them, yes it makes a blind spot. But with me I see the blue on one side and the red on the other. But this makes me think back to when I took some eye test years ago and you look through this thing with light on each side and back then my mind had trouble yes I often saw the stuff on the right as on the right and the stuff on the left as on the left and they didn't integrate . Maybe this has something to do with why I like the old style 3D movies better and why often in these new ones nothing comes at me, I can feel the movie but sometimes have a headache. That being said there was some great art and it was a great time. I also wonder if this has something to do with that I seem to get that so many times in life People want to take simple things and make the complex actions, and often times Things that are complex and have many layers people make simple in their views....

In any event here are some pictures:

Garden and stuf

So Just wanted to throw this out, garden walk just started and I will be there in some form should be interesting today and sunday. I love that all these people descend into my hood, maybe I'll see some of you out there

Last night 464 and the 3D stuff was fun. I think the 3D gave me the headache. Turns out that with the two color glasses I looked up a light and saw a rainbow well ok color specturm felt like being dramatic. but I see blue out of the right eye (wasn't it green though) and red out of the left. Ones brain is supposed to combine them and yes the 3D effects looked different kinda from each eye. Maybe this explains the 3D movie thing....... Oh yeah it was great to see you (e:heidi) (I think I might have talked also, HA).

Tonight planning on go to Diablo, that should be a good time. I admit I only listened to like one song from one of the bands. Hoping my pictrues come out good. Wish I could drink at the bar and take pictures but then you get the mirrors on the stage and I wish I would good enough to take pictures that way but no way am I......

Lights on vs. LIghts off

First lets see if I can ad a picture to this journal I couldn't yesterday.

image

Awesome it works now so that means I can do my Festival pictures. I must ad that I don't work for Club Diablo and I don't know any of the music or really know what is going on, but I love the art and think I need to take the camera to this.

In the past few years the quality of TV and Movies have really gone up. You have plasma and flat screens and high def and all this stuff, not to mention now they make 3D movies (sorry not the same as when a 3D movie when I was around as a kid) and huge IMAX screens. Now they have 3D TV that come with glasses. It blows my mind it really does. But there is one thing that they don't have other then 3D shows. You can never really make sitting at a show the same as sitting on your couch, no mater how big the speakers and screen are it just isn't the same.

That is what leads me to my point. The other night I watched 2012,and I did enjoy it. I'm at home so the lights are on. Well that movie and most movies are made to be watched in the dark so very often there are dark scenes and you can't see anything at all. I'm not going to say that they should lighten them up how would you know it is night or someplace dark? What I'm saying is that like how every show and movie has some kind of rating, they should have one for if it is viewed better with lights on or off or maybe even dim. People go out and buy these costly players and they hook up to the net and you can stream movies onto computers and every TV in the house and all kinds of things on these giant TVs that brag about how clear the picture is and how great the sound is, but if you aren't watching it in the right type of light you lose some of that.
