Cockabilly Roadshow Part 1

So at hoping to get back to the garden walk but after I posted some and the web crashed I'm sick of posting them. So I thought I would post some Photos from The Coney Island Cockabilly Side show (or what ever it's offical name is). It was a great time to see bands that are rockabilly and to see the sideshow stuff.

So as an example of how this show kinda went down is an act would preform then as the change over was going on they would do the side show stuff, like the big rat trap, or mouse trap or the guy getting out of the stright Jacket:

Next Up Jason and The Punknecks I really like the chick she is really hot and had a great voice and sounds so sweet of stage, oh yeah the hair is awesome also, plus the music was pretty good to, sorry I don't know enough about it to describe it....

Well time wise that is it for now, I really need like my own computer that is by the TV so that I can do Photo stuff like download and upload with out missing any thing, by the way speaking of that does anyone know of (yes have norton) a legit free place that scans your computer for virus. The way the internet just slows to a crawl sometimes makes me wonder......

Garden Walk 2010 part 1 of?

So I first of all have to say that it was nice to go to some places I haven't seen before, then stumble onto Gardens I didn't even plan on going to. I thought it was great and funny some guys on Richmond where selling Beer for a Buck and set up a Kissing Booth. Then in Grandma's Garden she had food she wanted you to eat, wish I was brave enough to eat the Vegan Chilli, with her she wanted to show people what they used the garden for, I saw a lot of great places and had a good time, even with getting soaked. We shall see how many pictures go up with the small amount of time......

I really need my own computer or maybe two to do photo and internet stuff. Hope everyone had a great weekend, argh work is to soon......

464 and Blink Gallery

So I'm really liking summer so far. I didn't think that their would be outside multi media stuff at 464, I would have liked to stay for it, but had some what of a headache and figured it was time to go. I think the Headache was caused by those two color 3D glasses. What is supposed to happen is your brain is supposed to take the two images of your eyes and over lay them, yes it makes a blind spot. But with me I see the blue on one side and the red on the other. But this makes me think back to when I took some eye test years ago and you look through this thing with light on each side and back then my mind had trouble yes I often saw the stuff on the right as on the right and the stuff on the left as on the left and they didn't integrate . Maybe this has something to do with why I like the old style 3D movies better and why often in these new ones nothing comes at me, I can feel the movie but sometimes have a headache. That being said there was some great art and it was a great time. I also wonder if this has something to do with that I seem to get that so many times in life People want to take simple things and make the complex actions, and often times Things that are complex and have many layers people make simple in their views....

In any event here are some pictures:

Garden and stuf

So Just wanted to throw this out, garden walk just started and I will be there in some form should be interesting today and sunday. I love that all these people descend into my hood, maybe I'll see some of you out there

Last night 464 and the 3D stuff was fun. I think the 3D gave me the headache. Turns out that with the two color glasses I looked up a light and saw a rainbow well ok color specturm felt like being dramatic. but I see blue out of the right eye (wasn't it green though) and red out of the left. Ones brain is supposed to combine them and yes the 3D effects looked different kinda from each eye. Maybe this explains the 3D movie thing....... Oh yeah it was great to see you (e:heidi) (I think I might have talked also, HA).

Tonight planning on go to Diablo, that should be a good time. I admit I only listened to like one song from one of the bands. Hoping my pictrues come out good. Wish I could drink at the bar and take pictures but then you get the mirrors on the stage and I wish I would good enough to take pictures that way but no way am I......

Lights on vs. LIghts off

First lets see if I can ad a picture to this journal I couldn't yesterday.

image

Awesome it works now so that means I can do my Festival pictures. I must ad that I don't work for Club Diablo and I don't know any of the music or really know what is going on, but I love the art and think I need to take the camera to this.

In the past few years the quality of TV and Movies have really gone up. You have plasma and flat screens and high def and all this stuff, not to mention now they make 3D movies (sorry not the same as when a 3D movie when I was around as a kid) and huge IMAX screens. Now they have 3D TV that come with glasses. It blows my mind it really does. But there is one thing that they don't have other then 3D shows. You can never really make sitting at a show the same as sitting on your couch, no mater how big the speakers and screen are it just isn't the same.

That is what leads me to my point. The other night I watched 2012,and I did enjoy it. I'm at home so the lights are on. Well that movie and most movies are made to be watched in the dark so very often there are dark scenes and you can't see anything at all. I'm not going to say that they should lighten them up how would you know it is night or someplace dark? What I'm saying is that like how every show and movie has some kind of rating, they should have one for if it is viewed better with lights on or off or maybe even dim. People go out and buy these costly players and they hook up to the net and you can stream movies onto computers and every TV in the house and all kinds of things on these giant TVs that brag about how clear the picture is and how great the sound is, but if you aren't watching it in the right type of light you lose some of that.

ItalinFESt movies

So I sarted out Saturday by going to see Inception. Visualy it was pretty good. Good story, good action, good acting. All in all it was a pretty good movie. With out giving anything away when the movie ends I was surprised that I understood it all. But then I started to think about what they showed at the end and started to wonder if the end really meant something else, but maybe I just over thought it............

After the movie what I should have done is gone and got a ticket at tops for Apoclitca . I would have loved to have seen them. But with the festival and having to change (should have just worn jeans). Plus at Towne Ballroom they allow cameras but sometimes the band doesn't so you often don't know untill you are in line if they are permited. This makes me wish for 2 things
1. I lived downtown, this would make going to shows or even Club Diablo so much better, but in this case get in line if no cameras take it home and come right back, no big deal
2. had a phone with camera, who knows maybe I would call someone sometime, This would also mean that when at the Festival yesterday I could have mobile posted what I was eating or something

I wound up watching some stuff I recorded and got caught up on some shows. Then I watched 2012 , that was pretty good love all the destruction, again great in a movie, not so good in real life, plus the effects where pretty good. Then before bed watched Porno for about 30 seconds, ha not really. I'm bumbed I didn't make the concert but maybe that gives me a few more $ for next weekend. If I'm remembering this right Friday (e:heidi) has stuff at the 464 gallery on friday, then On satruday I have to go to Club Diablo: not sure what it will be but I think it is going to be rockablillie bands and side shows or was it slide shows, in any event it sounds interesting...........

Here are some pictures from the festival

Pictures didn't show up lets try this again argh

Well for what ever reason the picture file names aren't showing up in the journal so that means like last time no pictures, guess I'll try a different browser later instead of using MSN we shall see

Well Now I'm using Safari after a computer shut down lets see what happens picture wise.
Well there are no pictures of the pictures where the file names show up and the files aren't added to this journal so still isn't working........

2010 taste of Buffalo

So first of all I was nice to run into (e:chico) and talk at Hardware after the stripteasers on Saturday. It was also nice to talk and see (e:tinypliny) on Sunday on my way home. If my back was feeling all stiff I could have gotten more tickets and delt with the crowd but at that point I was tasted out.

Saturday both before and after the zombie walk I had a good time at the taste of Buffalo. I did wind up going to Roxy's and had a good time, yes it was my first time there. Mistress J of the stripteasers had a Burleque class and these where her students on stage, they where all pretty good, and (not that I had a chance with any of them regardless of their sexual preference) Some people there watching where pretty nice to.

One of the Foods I tried before the zombiewalk you saw up there was a Buffalo Burger. It was listed as a healthy item but to me tasted pretty much like a hamburger so I wonder how it was healthy and if it was really buffalo?

The Zombie walk was a great time. It would have been better if I left the taste about 5 minutes later then I would have been on the right side and shot them all directly but it was a great time and then back to the taste, the funny thing is I'm not the only one who left the taste to go watch the zombie walk these two ladies did the same thing I did but they went and got into the back of the walk and then later as I returned they passed me to go back to the taste, that was interesting, but kinda odd......

So Back to the bar for a second, I wish I would have had my camera, maybe the hot zombie chick would have posed with me or maybe she would have kicked my ass who knows. One of the people I was with told me some chunky girl was checking me out, I never noticed it. But it is tough when Hardware is small and then people are dancing, then you are checking out people your self, then you also want to try and get to the bar. If it was when I was talking to (e:chicho) maybe it was him who was getting checked out, but I know when talking to someone I would never notice it, Sat was a great time and very busy.

The Pictures of the Motorcylcle that will be coming up is from inside New Era cap.......

This last weekend was great and I don't really see another weekend this summer that will be this good for some time, of course I don't know what is going on or have anything planned yet. But I do have an (e:strip) question the Taste Of Buffalo is a Summer thing but also it is a bunch of pictures, is there a way to have a post under two catergories?
