Comment Problem Solved

Well one good thing came out of this (e:ladycroft) and (e:matthew) drama. I figured one of the stupid comment bugs that was forcing the comments to not show up in the right order sometimes! Finally. Okay truth is I never looked into it until now but (e:matthew) just called to say that his latest comment was not showing up on (e:ladycrofts,335) and I looked into it.

I was that the comments were not explicitly set to order in a certain order and SQL knows no order other than the one specified. Usually it was fine but ocassionally it would provide them in some random order. Silly oversight but it is fixed now so rest assured your comments will show up in the proper order.

Updates

It's been a while. I would like to rewrite everything and add a million features at least to take advantage of the new surebert but I have been so busy.

I fixed the bug that arrised from surebert 1.45 that caused the (show more) to not work today. I also fixed the bug that prevented users from uploading a usersound on IE.

Party On Saturday

So it's not the house warming party but its the annual (e:terry)'s 26th and (e:mike)'s 23rd birthday party and maybe my graduation party? Everyone is invited. Feel free to bring whoever you want, we have lots of space.

16,000 Journal Entries

Today we reached our 16,000th journal entry. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this project and shared a part of their life with the fabric which makes up the digital quilt that is estrip.org. I am defending my thesis about it today and then it's over I am pulling the plug and moving on to bigger and better things in cooler cities. Just kidding.

(e:theecarey) and I have a bunch of plans in store to expand estrip further and my committment to Buffalo is pretty permanent since I just bought a house in the middle of the city.

Update to surebert 1.42

Surebert 1.42 fixes a bug introduced by Adobe and Flash Player 9 which cause the page to give an out of memory error in IE when the page had more than one flash movie embedded which used the javascript external interface.
