Toronto Jays game

I never did make it to see the fireworks on Saturday night. But I did get to see an odd but funny movie Called "Little Miss Sunshine". I admit I did miss the first few minutes but I don't think I missed much. Here is my recounting of the trip with my mother to the Jays game.

The new plaza thing on the Canadian Side.

We found a place to park right across from "The Skydome" Yeah I know it is really Rogers Center but I still call it that. when we drove up they made you pop the trunk of your car and had these things that looked like they looked under your car. It turns out the place we parked you took and elevator that would take you right into the stadium or if you had someplace else to go in that same building I guess you could get there also if you had some reason to be there other then a game. That part was pretty cool. I then understood why they did the checks of the cars.

Here are some pictures from the place and the game. Where we where seated was a good place to see the game from but not sure the pictures I took will show much but I may try a few game pictures here they are.

Like with both Toronto and with Big League Parks or anywhere there is a monopoly on food lunch was expensive. I almost bought these Asian noodles with chicken I should have. They looked like they might be good. I liked my burger but I think i should have gotten the noodles.

The Blue Jays Beat Seatle. All in all a great day. It was kids day and they had Mascots there also. One thing I didn't get a picture of was of this little 10 year old doing both anthems.

Then it was time to roll on out of Toronto and head home.

On the way home we stopped to eat. I'm not sure where this is exactly other then that it is somewhere around Burlington. I had myself a nice early dinner. I quick review. It seemed they had a lot of very cute and young (But not to young, you know legal) wait staff. This one blond looked modelish. The service was good. The food I got was good but the bread wasn't what I was expecting the decor was interesting. There was a wall with chairs on it. I wish I would have taken more inside pictures.

Square Weekend

I don't know why but today I didn't post any comments on blogs that isn't like me at all. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my voice is kinda different today. I got soaked at the square last night but got out of the heavy rain. But then went back to watch the two bands from under a tree. It wasn't my type of music really but I had a good time listing to a different kind of music then I know. Yeah I did get wet but that is ok. I don't think I'm going but there is supposed to be a huge Fire Works show in Niagara Falls on Saturday night. I guess it is in Celebration of Pizza Pizza's 40th year. I will be going to the Blue Jays Game. It would be cool to do both but I don't see it happening. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sci-fi Sunday and tats

As a test Here is a few Tattoo Pictures I saved from an online search. I was having a problem and Paul sent me a suggestion that I needed Flash for firefox. Not sure if mine was just for IE or if mine was just old but here is the final test.

The pictures I found starting at Miami Ink's web site and from there found a few more. What got me thinking about posting pictures is that 1. I like Miami Ink the show 2. I like tattoos 3. at the Italian fest I saw a few ladies with lots of art on there arms and that was inspiring.

I was going to post about how I watched a few movies on Sunday so I might as well finish up that thought. The first one was really cool graphicly it was "A Scanner Darkly". I guess what they did is film everything and then draw over what they filmed. It makes the animation at some points like from a distance look really real. There is a depth to it I can't explain. I really liked it. I don't know if it didn't have the awesome look to it if the story was enough. But hey it is about drugs and cool technology and survallince so it rocked. the second Was "The Island". That is a fun movie to watch. With out going into two much Detail People have clones made so they can live a full life. But what they don't know is that for the tissues to grow right they can't just keep them vegated they have to live and some of them learn to question things. I guess you could call all 3 movies SCi-fi sort of. The third Movie Was Narnia. I have seen it before but I figured it was a good time to open up the DVD and watch the adventure again. I again enjoyed it like I did the first time I saw this new version of it.

On Sunday Nights I like to watch John From Cincinatti. Granted it might not really be sci-fi. But there are weird things in it like a guy floating into the air and some people being healed. I think it is more spritual then any thing else but you can call it sci-fi. It is about a disfuctional and crazy family of surfers (not all of them). I think it is a good show. That leads into The Dead Zone. I admit I watched a few seasons before I ever saw the movie and I think like most Stephen King movies it was based on a book I didn't read but very good. I admit Meadowlands isn't sci-fi but I like it. I heard someone say it is like Desperate house wives meets twin peaks. That sounds like a good Description to me.

art cars web

First of all yesterday I went to the Italian Fest and wrote about it in my previous post.

The other day I posted about a video I saw on Yahoo about art cars. I myself like art cars and have taken pictures when Buffalo had art on wheels. with my art cars search I didn't come acroos any of those but maybe art on wheels will be another day and see what I come up with that way. Here are a bunch of pictures that I found on line. None of these pictures are mine and I didn't take any of them.

[box] Metallica singer stopped at airport for 'Taliban' beard

07/11/2007 2:00 PM, Yahoo! Music
courtesy of NME.com

Metallica frontman James Hetfield was stopped by security officials at London's Luton Airport for allegedly having a "Taliban-like" beard.

The band was on its way to perform at Live Earth on Saturday (July 7).

Hetfield was briefly questioned by airport officials until they realised who he was. No explanation was given for why he was stopped, but his bandmates speculated that it was due to his beard.

Meanwhile, Metallica's new album is due out in early 2008, with bassist Robertt Trujillo telling Blabbermouth: "There's a lot of everything, man. There's speed on this. There's a couple of tracks where you're gonna go, 'Wow!' and I know you're gonna like it because it has the flavor of the old. But it has this kind of groove and power behind it that I think is us today." [/box]

what is in the above box sounds like it could be old news sort of but it was just on Yahoo's main page but it is a couple days old. But what I find strange is that they are now giving people a hard time based on a beard most likely. The world we are living in is gettting strange.

Today I went to see Tranformers. It was what I expected a big exsplovsive movie. I liked it. That being said I think there are a couple things they could have done better. In robot form the guys should have looked more like what they transformed from. Facialy Megatron didn't look at all like how he did in the cartoon. But I still had a good time.

Next I went to the Italian Heritage Festival. I had a good time but was hampered by the rain but I still got a few pictures and ran into Tony&Megan and talked to them for a few. I never did get that Canolli because of the rain mostly. I had to have some fried dough, then I tried these beef sandwich that was very good and a Steak Kabob.

Yahoo Underground

Ok so I admit I don't have a link. I will also admit I don't have the video. I tried to download the video off of yahoo but couldn't. I use Yahoo for mail and to read the news. They have this section called "The Undrground". Today they had a video about "art cars" I think in AZ going to a museum but I didn't see the museum maybe there where other videos I didn't see. The video was interesting and did show a couple of really cool looking cars. When I first went there I was looking for pictures that I could post here but all they had was video. If anyone else uses Yahoo you might want to check it out. Ok so I thought why not check out the site again and now there are more options so here is a link or at least a web address

Ok I found a few pictures hopefully you like them. Not to many just a few.

The thing with cars like these is that video or seeing them in person is much better because you get to all the little details. There is also this cool double bodied bus but I couldn't find a good picture of it.

Taste Update

Last night the bisons lost but I still had a good time. There was this guy named Ruber Boy who performed there. One of his tricks is fitting through a tennis Racket. When I got home from the game I did see Metallica perform one song and then I watched the other two on line this morning.

I had a good time at the taste of Buffalo for the second day in a row. I wanted to see Beatle Magic but I knew that I didn't have the energy to stay for them. My legs where starting to get tired. In terms of (e:peeps) I did see (e:Enknot) before I could say anything we passed each other. Then on my way out I ran into (e:Carolinian) and had a nice chat and he was going to meet (e:Vincent) . Would have been cool to hang out with all four of them but I needed to go home and sit.

I think the name of the band was the Nickel City Pimp Choair

Taste Day 1

So first things first I saw the lovely (e:Beast) and (e:Libertad) at The Taste of Buffalo. Only problem is at the time I was moving quicker then I could react so By the time I knew who it was I went passed them. But I have to give them props. They where doing what more people should do and they where off to the side talking as opposed to the people who just stand and talk and cause a traffic jam. Towards when I was leaving I ran into my sis and she was telling me there is some other festival up by the libary Not sure why I didn't think to go see what those tents where. If you wana have some fun watch the girls at The Steer, they are hot and love to dance.

image
They gave out these strange chips and they tasted really good to.

image
image
As I was leaving they where firing up the engine on this car wish I would have got a shot of that.

image

Good thing they stoped tearing this down but it would have been funny if they didn't stop.

this apple crisp I got from Steer (the hot dancing ladies) I was going to use the rest of my tickets on what might be the best deal for 3 tickets at lousies you can get a Hamburger so it might be kinda boaring but so what.

These last 3 pictures are bonus pictures. The motorcycle was on my way home. The two wooden cut outs are on Elmwood in front of nextar and have explainations of them next to them.

image
image
image

Couple side notes. Even though they don't advertise it there is music there so you don't only have to eat. In fact I might want to check out this beatles tribute band on sunday. don't forget there is some literacy fest or something like that near the libary. I think it is where they usaly have thursday at the square. If you need a party to go to (e:Enknot) post about one that sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I think my lame ass will be at home. Don't be lame like me go out tonight and do something. I will be at the Bisons game having a good time. I may have seen (e:chico) not sure if it was him or not speaking of that I saw a few people who looked kinda famlar but that I don't know. Why is that so many don't follow traffic laws when walking. down on the right back on your right just like if you where in a car. Don't stop and look at the food on the other side of the street you will see it when you are on that side of the street pay attention to your side. If you want to stop fine but do so out of the way of traffic. I don't understand why someone doesn't Yell out those rules over a bull horn. It would be a good idea. yes the point is to have fun but you are in a group setting so keep them feet moving even if it is slowly. In terms of Live earth I did see two good performances by AFI (caught the end of it) and The Foo Fighters. This morning I saw Genesis. But I think I missed Metallica, sey they where supposed to be on the UK one. Hopefully there is a way to see them again or maybe even online. Well off to the Bisons game. If I didn't say sorry for not seeing you peeps I saw then sorry.

Taste Live Earth

Ok so starting tonight around 11pm I think there are these concerts all over the world called live earth. I know it is some huge event with all kinds of bands and that NBC, Sundance, Bravo and not sure who else is carring covarage of it. Tonights coverage I think is on one of the candian stations I think MSN and maybe someone else is showing it on the web, for you music fans. Before I forget (e:enknot) mentioned a party on Saturday night Maybe I'll go to that after the bisons game. but starting at 11am is the Taste of Buffalo. That should be a good time. I know that now all the places have to have one healthier alternative. I know that the portions are small but if they waren't how would you get to try differnent things. It should be a great time. If any of you see me there and you want your picture taken just ask, cause often in events like that I forget. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I also think there is some rally in Niagara Falls also.

HBO Voyeur

The above website is interesting. On HBO in demand you can watch some of the apartments. Also on HBO's website you can get a taste of what it is like to be a voyeur. From what I have seen so far none of it is sexaul but I havn't watched all the rooms yet. On the one I just watched it over a few days time. Some guys are investaging this guy and the end is interesting. The one thing that is strange is there is no sound so you have no ideas what people are saying but that is how it is to be a real voyeur. If you have some time to kill it is an interesting site. Hopefully I'll have enough time with the holiday to check out some more of the buildings.

I think there is something voyeuristic in the web itself. Youtube is a great example of this. Yes I know that most of the videos wind up being shows for people but some of them aren't. I know there have been a few video blogs that have really taken off (lonely girl or something like that) and had a lot of followers. Blogs are kinda voyeuristic also. I don't mean writtening them, I mean for the reader. Here it is a little different now that you can leave a comment. But you can still look into someone elses life and they don't know. I havn't done enough reserch to see how HBO will continue this series. I don't know if they will run it on HBO at all. Maybe they will have a special on it. But so far it is interesting. Sexualy I don't think of my self as a voyeur but that is kinda bullshit since I watch porn. Yes they do the acting for us and know we are going to watch it but we are still watching them have sex. Granted that is different then sitting up in a tree watching some girl change after her shower. But I think being a voyeur is really all about the watching and it could really be anything. I'm not really sure if "the sport of people watching" counts cause it is kinda a known fact that it goes on at large events but it might be close.

I had more of a point but I kinda lost it somewhere. I hope everyone has a great 4th of July and then that next weekend also. Well atleast better then mine I won't be doing anything. Oh that reminds me of two things HBO has a new documentary about Coma's and this weekend is the taste of Buffalo.
