Robin Hood and more

So The last time I saw a Robin Hood Movie was most likely the one with Kevin Costner, bye the way what ever happened to him. That was so long ago I can't compare the two. Other then to say if you have seen the ads you may know that this movie is about how Robin Hood becomes Robin Hood. Yes Russell crowe does remind me of this south park episode where he goes from town to town beating everyone one up. Over all I think it was a pretty good movie. They stayed true to it, like they didn't over do the gore or do the artistic blood or anything like that. The only thing that I found odd was and maybe this was just me. The Music and the battle sounds where louder then the talking. It did seem like a battle movie to me, and I liked it.

On Cable I tried to watch The Grilfriend Experance . It stars Sasha Grey, yes the porn star. I can't rate it cause I was to tired to stay awake for it all. It took the form of a narative or kinda a documentary with out being one.

On Pay Per View I ordered Daybreakers. It is a Vampire Movie where Humans are the blood source and they are running out. I thought it was good but thought it would be more something some how, but still enjoyed it.

When I first saw the Hangover I thought it was funny. But I didn't get why everyone thought it was so funny. This changed when I watched it on HBO. Yes the 2nd time I thought it was much funnier.

Wish #5 Loved rides and flight

Amusement Parks have never really been my thing. Don't get me wrong there are somethings I do like about them like Bumper Boats, water slides and that one water ride that you get soaked on. But for the most part I don't like rides.

Part of it is I'm down to earth and like to keep my feet on the floor. But also there is that trust thing. Like does some kid who is doing this for a little spending money during the summer really going to notice if something is wrong with the ride, but that isn't what I'm supposed to be writing about.

I wish I could enjoy the spinning rides. Some of them look so fun. I thin so I get tossed pretty good. My stomach just can't take it. That is the same problem or at least pretty close with flume rides and roller coasters. Do they look fun, yeah of course but for other people. Some of the old ones look so shaky. I wish that I could go on the ones where you hang on by you arms and you go backwards and upside down and your feet dangle over water and all the different kinds they make, but it just isn't me.

Those same kind of feelings go onto other things as well. Is it parasailing where they pull you behind a boat? Looks fun but no way am I doing that. Bungee Jumping in all sorts looks so much fun. But I can't even handle going off the High Diving board, man that huge one at shirkston looked like a blast when I was little, but no fucking way you gotta be insane. I know it can be very dangerous but cliff jumping looks fun to, but not for me. flying through the air looks like so much fun and I wish I could do it but I just can't. Oh yeah how about the Luchadore style in wrestling that looks fun to climb up on something and do a flip and land on someone. But once i go upside down I can't find where my feet are so that is out, wish I could do skiing freestyle but I can't.

Well I guess that is all I can say about that.

Food Shopping

So there are many different ways to shop for food. Some people get meat packages from meat places. Some people shop at multiple places in the same day to get their food. I do the getting what is on sale thing. I hardly ever use coupons. 1st you have to get them. 2nd with the savings often times the knock offs are still cheaper.

Price Rite:
It is great for when I'm out of food. It is also great when I buy certain things I like there like frozen pies and such. Well not to mention that they are close. But often times they lack selection. What I mean is that they have a brand of food but don't have all the different verities with in that food.

Tops:
Yes I admit I like them. I go there when stuff I like is on sale. I also like the lay out of the store. I also like the layout of the ads. It also helps that they sell my bus passes. I used to pay bills there. Plus they sell tickets there.

Wegmans:

I do admit that their layout is kinda goofy. What is all that stuff in the middle of the store. But what I like is that to get to the frozen section you don't have to go down isles you just go to that end of the store. I love the beer wall they have in the back that is so nice and I don't like beer. They are over all so much nicer then tops and that is nothing bad about tops.

They also have stuff tops doesn't.

Iron Man 2

I really liked IronMan 2. It had Scarlet Johansen Oh my she is a bad ass in this movie. It is nice to see her in this type of role. I think Mickey Rouke is great as the bad guy he really is. Lots of action and story and then some funny parts to. Stay through the end credits it sets up another movie like the 1st one did, in other words the ending is after the credits. I can admit I never did read Iron Man as a comic but think the movies are great. Hoping this will spawn people to go out and buy the old comics and catch that verison of the story. If what I have heard is correct at some point their will be an avengers movie or series of movies I should say. I mean the super heros not the British spys (never watched the show or seen the movie based on them).

Buffalo Sat #3

I did have a good time on my short adventure on Saturday. So back to where I left off I guess. I just wish it was bright out I think it would have made the pictures "Pop" more and would upped the fun level a bit also. But I did run into 4 people I know so that was interesting and I did get to see the Carvings for a cause with out freezing my hands but forgot to go see the one I saw at Grover in the Paper.

I think there has to be something those towers can be used for, yeah I know that aren't as cool looking as like towers in europe but they are pretty nice and it should be used I think.

In Terms of Pano's the pictures below I'm not sure if they really show the point I want to make. (e:MrMike) wrote about how he wants to or is going to add a patio. Now adding one I think is silly. If you look at the grass it doesn't look like there would be much room really. But the other thing is you see those panels they slide open so you have a covered patio when it is nice. Not to mention that would have to be open anyways how would the wait staff get to the patio other wise. Also I have never been to the thirsty Buffalo but their side area looks like a lot of fun.

Interesting Sat Part 2

I was hoping the Japanese Garden would be very nice, it didn't seem ready and there was stuff all over the place, but it has been so long since I'm been there, but even in the rain I had a good time.

So in my previous post I mentioned that I had a Cross Country flashback. Where you see the split in the road is the way we came down the hill. You had the option to run up it and down or run around it. No idea how each person made their choice really. I know I don't remember.

I thought that sign was funny since there is no ice they just leave it attached all year I guess. The Picture of the Albright Knox is interesting in that there is an ambulance up there. So I squatted down and the angle I took it at you can't see it, hence the picture above.

One thing about the rose garden as you can tell taking Flower Pictures is fun. As anyone who is reading this can tell there are people on here who could do a much better job of making the flowers look nice in picture format. One thing I can never really tell or figure out is if it is better to show a bunch of flowers or a close up. Also different flowers are in different states of bloom. Yes I was thinking about that as I was taking the pictures.

Well this is where I have to leave off with my look on Buffalo for a bit. I just have to say that not sure what was up on that Saturday but my mind was someplace else or somewhere I'm not used to being. I haven't been to that Museum since I was a little kid. I only was outside here. But it felt weird. It was like where is Music IS art? It felt odd without stages and places to eat and a DJ area it really was odd and no one around, it was surreal it really was. One thought Did cross my mind, and that was how amazing it would be to Have an MIA VIP pass. That way I could be up on that fenced in area and look at the stages and it would be easy to go from one stage to the other. I think if I could pay for one I would. Hey maybe on facebook I should send MIA and Robby a message about that, or maybe not we shall see. Hope the holiday was well to anyone reading this. Oh yeah that part where it says stuff was often used as a place to stand at MIA.

So Saturday was interesting part 1

So On Saturday I was hoping it was going to be as nice as Friday but it wasn't but I still had a good time. It was nice to see Carey and Dana briefly, again I said it there so I'll say it here. My mind was kinda some place else and I had no money but I still should have stopped into ETS and said Hello.

Down around the Museums I had some odd flashbacks. There is this part of the hill that in HS when you ran cross country you had the option to go over or around. Then later I had a visual of us leaving a meet and walking down this little pathway. That was odd.

Well here is the beginning of the pictures.

My Problem with the iphone

First of all I have to admit that Yes I Do Want a Cell Phone. But see I don't want it to talk to people. I want it for all the cool things it can do, like text as an example. I want to be at a festival or concert or sports event take a picture then up load it to multiple sites. I think that is what it would be perfect for. What phone I would get I don't know. They all have these plans where you have to commit for years and then what if you don't like the phone or the pictures are crap.

I Like ads that are funny or smart. I have seen a bunch of great ones and see great ones each year. But I have to say because of them I hate the iphone.

1. Apple has always had this "we Are Different and Better and Cooler then You" Vibe and I so see this with the iphone.

2. The apps I have seen lies on those ads. Lets see it is a phone it can't send a box fedex. you need the box and the phone won't print out labels for you.

3. The apps again imply that they do all the work when they don't. They show this one where someone turns off their lights with their phone, um yeah right. The only way that would work is if you had one of those smart houses and then you link that with the phone some how.

What this comes down to when you combine is that Apple is selling you a bill of goods. They make it look like the phone does all this stuff on its own and that all you have to do is push a button. It also makes it look like all this stuff is preloaded on your phone. Um no you have to pay for each app. If any other industry pulled this they would be locked up for fraud. Can you imagine if you bought a car and the rear breaks where extra. What the iphone does is really just a bait and switch or a con if you believe the ad.

But there is another issue with the iphone or any "smart phone" I have that isn't addressed really. They love to show you how much the phone can do. Yeah and it is great that you can be on myspace, twitter and facebook all at once. It is great that you can link all your e-mail and other websites through a facebook log in. It is great that there is all this stuff going on line, and it is great that you can turn on your lights, turn off the alarm and open your garage door all with your phone. You have control of your entire life with your phone. Well that is until you hook up with an ex and they take your phone as you shower and they ruin you life on all the social network. How about when someone steals your phone and takes over your life with it. But see these ads don't tell you the dangers of this or just you setting your phone down and someone who doesn't like you picks it up and starts shit. Hey What I'm saying is that when you walk into a store someone needs to go listen, it is great you can do all this stuff with this phone but just remember when a criminal gets a hold of this phone they can now do everything you could do with it. Hey all I'm saying is that the sellers of this tech or any tech should have to explain the downsides of the tech also.

AZ shows how this country is backwards

So this Az Anti Imagration law drives me insane for a number of reasons.
1. It turns cops into Border Patrol. Hey they have enough to deal with , they don't need to also be boarder agents.
2. This law was aimed at mexicans only really
3. It doesn't get that there are good people who work and follow laws and pay taxes but are not here legaly and that they are different then crimanls but yet these two groups would now be treated the same.

What drives me the craziest about this though is how like in so many things this country fights things backwards.
1. Deporting people who have family members who are here legaly isn't an answer
2. Building a great wall along the boarder would never work it is to long and americans don't work that hard anyways

But see those ideas are from the backwards view. If you don't want illegas coming here then give them no reason to. In other words work with mexico so it isn't a shit hole. Yes it has great beaches but the country is poorer then us. When US companies send jobs over there they pay them shit compaired to here but they are still often the best jobs over there. Untill you get Mexico good enough that people don't want to leave you will allways have an Imigration problem.

Wishing I was the Happy Hour #4

So On my way home I saw a bunch of people out side a couple of bars. I will admit It looks fun. Nice day out, warm, and sunny. I do like my Job. But there is that other part of me that thinks it would be great to have one of those Jobs (Now I Have pictures from the Drew Carrey show running through my head, I loved that show, it was great it really was) Downtown. Then from their you all go to the bar and be social before it is time to go home. Doesn't that sound like fun!!!!!

Now I'm not saying that I would want to Drink Everyday. I would think drinking for 2 hours everyday could do some damage. Then you would get used to it. I think there might be days where if you had they day off you would have to go to Happy Hour, since you are now addicted to it. I don't only mean the alcohol but that is a big part of it. I mean the social aspect of it. At the very least it would feel weird not being there. Don't get me wrong I like who I am. But I think there would be something nice about being "Mr Sociable ". I think the social aspect is the big reason why Happy Hour is a big deal, it isn't really about the relaxing it is about doing something after work but before you need to be home. But I don't do the Happy Hour so maybe I don't get it, but it would be nice to get.
