Racism causes High Gas price (2nd)

First of all for anyone reading this my previous journal has pictures from The pride parade and the one before that from the (e:strip) party (wish they came out better). I know the tittle might not seem to make sense but it is a little bit of a theory that I have. I have to admit that I am my self a little racist the quick answer to that is that I try not to be but things that have happened to me and things I have seen have made me that way. That doesn't mean I don't like blacks in fact there are a lot of them I do like and consider family and there are some (e:peeps) I think are pretty cool and that I like.

The reason that gas prices are so high is simple supply (well maybe not really simple) iand demand. People need their cars and trucks. Most people who drive are used to driving and can't just stop driving. So as long as that stays true then people have to pay what the stations charge for gas. The reason they can't give up there cars is because the suburbs are all stretched out and spaced out on (yes I do believe this) Purpose so you have to drive to shop. Often because of this sometimes there isn't any bus service since everyone drives. I think this is done on purpose to keep the poor and blacks out (like in the Cynthia Wiggins case where the Mall didn't want the Bus on its grounds).

The second reason people can't just stop driving there cars is because most people don't work where they live. As an example I have all ways taken a bus I've gone to Orchard Park, Grand Island, and now Cheap-to-vegas (if I worked Sunday I would be screwed). Often people in the burbs work in another one or in the city and people who live in the city work out in the burbs. Yes I will admit there are some towns that have shops and stuff but I don't mean those places. What I'm talking about is sprawl. I'm not sure what caused all the sprawl but I can guess that Womens Liberation, Blacks trying to get rights, School iintergration, Anti-war movements and new minorites trying to move in is what sent most people out of the city. Yes there are some generaly bad people who do cause trouble. But my assertion is that most of the sprawl was because of racism. So if you assume that is true then Racism-->Sprawl-->Not being able to stop using your car-->High demand-->Power to charge what ever they want for gas.

Granted I know that their are other factors that go into the gas prices. But the thing that would cut prices the most is if people just stopped driving. There are other ways to cut gas consumption and one of them may be places of work making work days less and hours longer. People who don't need to drive somewhere walking or neigh boors going shopping together to cut down on the amount of trips they make. When you need food and stuff for the house get it all in one trip so you don't have to drive to buy stuff everyday, maybe come up with creative solutons. But back to my point if it wasn't for racism people could just stop driving because they would work where they live and shop the same way. The ironic thing is that in the old days when all the Germans and Irish all lived together by nationality that living situation would make this gas problem go away, not saying we should go back to those times just kinda ironic

As a side note I have heard Con. St near the college is getting very nice. When I was growing up it was kinda rough, but not really, just part of it might have been. I knew someone who was Italian who remembers when "the hood" aka blacks and hispanics moved in went bad and and all the Italian owned places burned down, he remembers the fires. He was Italian and still lived on the west side.

Buffalo Gay Pride parade (1st post)

So On Sunday I decided to head up to Elmwood for the pride parade. Maybe it was around 12 or 12:15. I thought I might run into a few (e:peeps) but I didn't see any. I wound up watching the parade from the corner at spot. It started out as me having the best spot on the corner. But eventully as people got pumped up and excited they wound up in the street and in front of me so some of my pictures didn't come out as good as I would have liked, but I still had a good time. I don't know really how to explain it really. If you want to see the picture I took in order (since it is a parade you might want to) here is a link or at least the web address.
After the parade I decided to not go to the the festival stuff. I had been in the sun long enough plus I wanted to download and upload pictures and some other stuff. It would have been nice to go but I didn't. So here is the Parade the pictures will be kinda in reverse order so you can start at the bottom and come up, or watch it in reverse.

Well my plan didn't work really I was hoping doing it backwards would line them up in perfect order but it didn't. I also by mistake put up a few repeats. I hope everyone likes the pictures and for those that went hope to see your pictures and hope you had a good time. I wish I knew how to explain to non gays why pride parades are important but even if I could I don't know as they would get it. I admit I don't know what it is like to be gay and then to let family know and they dis own you or you lose friends, that doesn't happen with everyone but I would imagine it would be pretty tough. Before I forget pictures can be nice but I wish I got some that showed the people and viewers and the social aspects of the Parade. There are things that can't really be caught like the atmosphere and things like that. A lot of that is location, like that giant flag you would have to be high up to really get that, oh yeah and that dragon was pretty cool to and would look better looking down on it, hope everyone there had a good time.

E strip Party

So I had a good time at the party last night. It was very nice to see a few (e:peeps) there and glad that you fathers out there where able to make it and have a good time. Before the party went to the Dyke march. That sounds so wrong to type but isn't that what it is called or also known as Dykes on bikes. Sorry to (e:Paul) for making you late there was some crazy stuff in that Wilson Farms. That being said I didn't really get any pictures of it cause it went by so fast. That being said it was nice to see everyone before the March. Well I guess I should get to the pictures, I will warn you now there will be a ton of them and some of them look like they may come out a bit dark but here they are.

Oh if there is anyone new who haven't seen my pictures before it is important to know that I put them up in groups in order. But when you upload multiple pictures they don't go up in the order they where taken, I'm not sure if it has something to do with how they are named or what that is, but just so you know. Ok on to the party.

All in all the party was pretty nice. I have to thank (e:pmt) for having it. It was a calm party from what I saw but I don't know if anything went on upstairs when I wasn't there, but there where no BJ's in the hall or spanking with spoons or belts, and no depanting of mike that I know of, or any wrestling matches. Hey sometimes that stuff can be fun and who knows maybe the next party will be super crazy or maybe it will be mellow. I did wake up tired this morning and that was one of the reasons I didn't go to the post parade stuff, but if I did I couldn't be posting this now. I did enjoy talking with the people I talked with. Back to the parade hopefully that will be a post for Monday.

The Stripteasers

Last night I went to see the Stripteasers at I almost wrote Roxy's where they are known to perform but it was at Nietches. Before they went on stage they had two acts. The girl singer I liked, the bear guy (sorry don't remember his name) wasn't really my thing. I did have a good time or maybe it was just all the Alcohol. No It wasn't just the alcohol I did have a good time. I have seen them before at Music is Art and then I think I have also seen them do some stage stuff there also as kinda the last act. I don't know how to describe them other then burlesque and they do little skits. It was a good time I would go again.

Girl on Girl vs. Boy seatle

So I don't feel like being sued by CNN so here is the link to there story about the lesbians kissing in Seattle At a base ball game. I found it because I did a search for the story I read in the Buffalo News. My take on the story is People where making out at the Mariners baseball game. Nothing was said to the man and women making out. But the two ladies where kicked out. There is a claim that the ladies where groping, hey why no video, HA. I guess there was a family with kids who complained because they had to explain to kids why two girls where kissing. I guess at some point you have to explain that to kids but all you would have to say is you know how boys kiss girls well sometimes girls kiss girls. That would be it assuming the kids allready know that. If there are no PDA at the game then they should have that throughout the entire place regardless of gender or sex. The girls think they where kicked out because they where gay and the stadium says that isn't true. I think the real problem here is that often things are done because of a complaint. The same thing could happen with swearing, it is a baseball game you are supposed to yell at the ump for a shitty call, but if you have Mr. Sensitive you could get in trouble. It would be nice to know what is really happening. That being said at a lot of sports events they do have Kiss Cams and sometimes they are sponsored by a company, the ones I have seen have all ways been man on woman or Rax (bandits games) with to ladies. I have seen as a joke two people of the opposing team so there is kinda that atmosphere as a factor.

Fuck it here it is

SEATTLE, Washington (AP) -- Most of the time, a kiss is just a kiss in the stands at Seattle Mariners games. The crowd hardly even pays attention when fans smooch.
art.kiss.ap.jpg

Sirbrina Guerrero complained after an usher told her to stop kissing her date at a Seattle Mariners game in May.

But last week, a lesbian complained that an usher at Safeco Field asked her to stop kissing her date because it was making another fan uncomfortable.

The incident has exploded on local TV, on talk radio and in the blogosphere and has touched off a debate over public displays of affection in generally gay-friendly Seattle.

"Certain individuals have not yet caught up. Those people see a gay or lesbian couple and they stare or say something," said Josh Friedes of Equal Rights Washington. "This is one of the challenges of being gay. Everyday things can become sources of trauma."

As the Mariners played the Boston Red Sox on May 26, Sirbrina Guerrero and her date were approached in the third inning by an usher who told them their kissing was inappropriate, Guerrero said.

The usher, Guerrero said, told them he had received a complaint from a woman nearby who said that there were kids in the crowd of nearly 36,000 and that parents would have to explain why two women were kissing.

"I was really just shocked," Guerrero said. "Seattle is so gay-friendly. There was a couple like seven rows ahead making out. We were just showing affection."

On Monday, Mariners spokeswoman Rebecca Hale said that the club is investigating but that the usher was responding to a complaint of two women "making out" and "groping" in the stands.

"We have a strict non-discrimination policy at the Seattle Mariners and at Safeco Field, and when we do enforce the code of conduct it is based on behavior, not on the identity of those involved," Hale said.

The code of conduct -- announced before each game -- specifically mentions public displays of affection that are "not appropriate in a public, family setting." Hale said those standards are based on what a "reasonable person" would find inappropriate.

Guerrero denied she and her date were groping each other, saying that along with eating garlic fries, they were giving each other brief kisses.

On Tuesday, Guerrero said a Mariners director of guest services had apologized to her. The team spokeswoman could not immediately confirm that.

After the story broke, the Mariners were blasted by the sex-advice columnist Dan Savage, who wrote about the incident on the blog of the Stranger, an alternative weekly paper.

"I constantly see people making out," Savage said. "My son has noticed and asked, 'Do they show the ballgame on women's foreheads?'"

Savage called for a "kiss-in" to protest against the Mariners.

Web sites have been swamped with blog postings for and against Guerrero and her date. And the story has people talking in Seattle.

"I would be uncomfortable" seeing public displays of affection between lesbians or gay men, said Jim Ridneour, a 54-year-old taxi driver. "I don't think it's right seeing women kissing in public. If I had my family there, I'd have to explain what's going on."

"It all depends on the degree," Mark Ackerman said as he waited for a hot dog outside Safeco Field before Wednesday's game. "Even for heterosexual couples."

Since the incident, Guerrero's job and her past have come under scrutiny. She works at a bar known for scantily clad women and was a contestant on the MTV reality show "A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila," in which women and men compete for the affection of a bisexual Internet celebrity.

"People are saying it's 15 more minutes for my career," Guerrero said of the ballpark furor, "but this is not making me look very good."

In 2007, an Oregon transit agency chief apologized after a lesbian teenager was kicked off a bus when a passenger complained about her kissing another girl.

Also in 2007, a gay rights group protested a Kansas City, Missouri, restaurant they said ejected four women because two of them kissed, and a Texas state trooper was placed on probation in 2004 for telling two gay men who were kissing at the state Capitol that homosexual conduct was illegal in Texas.

"There's a double standard. That's the bottom line," said Pat Griffin, director of the It Takes a Team! Education Campaign, an initiative from the Women's Sports Foundation to eliminate homophobia in sports

The story in the Buffalo news.

One thing I forgot about is one of the girls was On season 2 of a shot at love with Tila Tequila, she has been elimantated maybe a week or two ago of viewing.

on A side note I look forward to seeing everyone at the Party on Sat at the 24.

Gay Is Ok2 Cali Style

First of all (e:libertad) On my other post with this name You made a very good point about self hate. I think that is true for other groups of people also. Also on my previous post I did Burn 30Days but haven't had time to watch it yet. I do plan on going to the Parade on Sunday to take pictures, maybe around spot, I wonder if I should take some pictures at Kleinhans if I wake up early enough or who knows maybe I'll still be up. I guessing I'll just be there for the Parade though. Before I forget The Stripteasers who preform at Roxy's (never been) will be doing a full show on Friday at Nietcehes I think it is like $7, I plan on going to that. Not sure what will happen if I take pictures, maybe pictures with no flash we shall see.

I will admit that after reading the article below I'm not sure if it is possible for people in California to try and stop this. I'm not sure if there is a way to define being married as being a man and women , but in any event it looks like gay Marriage is legal. But that does bring up a question I have? Why not change the tittle of Gay Marriage to Same Sex Marriage. The reason I say this is what if two friends want to get married for the benefits. You know how some guys are so close they are like brothers or two girls are like sisters. Well what if say one of them has a kid if something happens then the other person could raise the kid and they would just take right over. Or what if one of the people gets real sick then there legal partner could do all the legal stuff since they would be legaly married. The other thing it would do is, take of the negative stigma of the word gay it might even make basicly the same thing more exceptable to a lot of people, just and idea. Here is the article.

California court says gay marriages can proceed

By Adam Tanner 1 hour, 1 minute ago

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California's Supreme Court gave the final green light on Wednesday for gay marriages to begin later this month, turning down requests for a delay.

The most populous U.S. state's highest court ruled last month that refusing homosexuals the right to wed violated the state constitution.

Opponents then asked the court to halt the start of gay weddings until November, when the state's voters will decide a ballot measure that, if approved by a simple majority, will define marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

"It would have been unprecedented to postpone constitutional rights based on speculation of how a political scenario may or may not play out," San Francisco city attorney Dennis Herrera said.

"Folks can get married on June 17," he said.

The court voted 4-3 to deny the petition to stay the decision. The same judges voted the same way on May 15 in the landmark decision, hailed by gay activists and condemned by social conservatives.

The court's original ruling becomes final at 5 p.m. on June 16, opening the way for gay marriages to start the next day.

"This is another four-to-three vote for legal chaos," Glen Lavy, senior counsel at the Alliance Defense Fund, which is fighting against gay marriage, said in a statement.

"This decision is the most egregious case of judicial activism in modern American history. The refusal to wait for the people to decide by the constitutional process confirms that."

GAY MARRIAGE OPEN TO ALL

Massachusetts is the only U.S. state that allows same-sex marriage, but offers licenses only to its own residents. California has no residency requirement, which means gays from across the United States will be able to go there to marry.

San Francisco, internationally known for its gay community, briefly allowed homosexuals to marry four years ago before a court ended the ceremonies. The legal battle that followed culminated in last month's decision.

Gay marriage remains a topic of hot debate in U.S. politics. More than 25 states have constitutional amendments barring gay marriage.

The group behind the November California ballot measure against gay marriage expects to spend at least $10 million in the campaign.

Polls have showed contrasting trends. A Field poll published last week showed 51 percent in favor of gay marriage and 42 percent opposed. But a Los Angeles Times poll a week before found 54 percent backed the amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman while 35 percent opposed it.

Should that measure pass, gay marriages could again come to an end. But thousands of same-sex couples are expected to tie the knot over the summer.

(Editing by David Storey and Alan Elsner)

One other thing I thought of is that there is no requirement to live in CA. So I wonder if that will encourage people to come there to get married and have a ceramonie and then go back to there state where they aren't acknowledged as being married. Then maybe if enough people do that it might get some movements going stronger in states to get at least any marraige rights to be rocongized like how NYS is doing it. In any event very interesting times we live in.

30 Days

Morten Spurlock made a movie called Supersize me that was about what would happens if he lived on McDonalds only for 30 days, and it was pretty good. That lead to (maybe the idea for the series came first not sure) a show called 30 days. It isn't all ways him that does the task in his show, for example one time a Christian lived as a Mueslum for 30 days. That one was very interesting and some of them really have been very good. The season Premiere is tonight on FX , I think this is the 3rd season. From what I read online he goes back to his home town and becomes a Coal Miner for 30 days. I'm not sure what the other ones are about but it could be interesting. I will admit I have not seen his newest movie about trying to find Bin Laden , that does look very interesting also.

2nd life Documentaries

So over the weekend I watched two Interesting documentaries. I admit I not one of those "I have to watch everything and find out all the truths of the world and watch anyone that is on". But depending on the subject matter they can be pretty good. The first one was called "Hacking Demacrocy" (how ever you fucking spell it) and it was about how you could steal votes and how Diebold had some security flaws. I admit that I'm not a fan of the electoral college. But maybe if this can really happen and maybe if Ohio was stolen (they never say that it was) then maybe we do still need that kind of protection. The second one I watched was called Molotov Alva. It is about a guy who vanishes in the real world and then appears in 2nd life. There where different chapters to it and it was pretty interesting, granted I have never played or partook in 2nd life so not sure how realistic it was. In this he looked for the creator. things in the game would get compared to his first life and it was interesting and philosphical it was on cinemax on demand. I wound up not watching it in order but I still got the gist of it. I think starting a week from Today HBO starts there series of documentaries I will admit I'm not really sure what they are all about or what most of them are about but I'm sure there will be some I like. I really need to remember that I have sundance and IFC. Yes a lot of there stuff is to indie for me but sometimes they have some great stuff on also.

MMA & Narnia

So last night I started to Watch the Penguins game and it was good for the hour I watched but then, I had a decision to make and I went with Fighting on TV. Here is a good link that can explain it much better then I can
(I don't remember if it says what ones where on TV and what ones were not). I know I enjoyed it. One problem though with MMA is that you never know how a fight will be. Sometimes you can have a quick short fight or one where they wrestle and try to get submissions. If you don't understand the submissions it looks very dull and the action is hard to see. I admit I was a little mixed up as why they stopped the fights. I do think it not being on a pay channel may have factored it in, and that a lot of people would be new to it. I really liked the girls who fight that Carano girl is pretty hot and looks like she can fight pretty good. I think last Night was QCRG's Championship Bout and then there was Art & Models Hope those that went to either had a great time. June is all ready going to get kinda busy. Next week is pride, weekend after that is Allentown (hope I can get something this year, money is kinda tight, ok more then kinda), Towards the end of the month I have two Concerts Deathklok (with supporting acts) and Hatebreed. I have a trip at the end of the month. Plus I want to see that Bleach Movie. I thought (e:ladycroft) said she was coming to town in June also.

Tonight is the MTV Movie Awards (live they claim but not sure). I all ways like those because I think the fans vote on most of the awards. Plus they have things like best Kiss and I think they should come up with some new cleaver ones like one year it was Best Summer movie that hasn't come out yet, but I don't remember what one. I won't be watching it live though I'll be Watching Wrestling PPV.

Oh yeah the reason I wrote in the first place was to say I saw the New Narnia movie. With out giving anything away there are a couple spots where things are mentioned that if you read the books you would know about. Disney Decided not to make all the books into movies they are only doing the ones that have all 4 kids in them. So those who have read all the books would know what books those are. To be honest not knowing what they were talking about wasn't a big deal really but to know would have made it better. There is a part where it sounds as if they grew older in Narnia and left but that they had no control over leaving and now when they are back they are younger, but maybe I misread the meaning. I thought that the movie was very good. Story wise it is a little bit darker and there is some more conflict to go along with the action. Not sure if the story is entirely true to the book but the story is pretty good. Oh yeah and the action is pretty good to. I have heard some where that there is Religious meaning in the Narnia Stories and I myself have never noticed it. But that being said I'm sure if you go in deciding to try and find it I'm sure one could, there is one part where it is right out there and you can't mis it. I also do like how the one army looks like something out of the 300 and even the leader of the army looks like the same guy. I thought it was very good.

Gay is Ok

I thought now would be a good time to talk about the fact that I have no problems with Homosexuals, bisexuals, or heterosexuals. This was going to be one of the issues I knew I would touch on. The reason for it now is because gay rights and people who disagree with them have been in the news lately oh yeah and Isn't Buffalo's pride parade like next weekend. Two quick side notes the tittle to the blog is stupid and I did update my post on the square and added some photos.

I will admit that the way I look at things in general is that people should be able to do what they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, unless they want to be hurt but that is a completely different conversation itself. This is true in sex, love, and Marriage also. Hey if people love each other that is all that matters. Their love or sometimes lust doesn't hurt anyone and no one makes you watch so just leave people alone. I use this same belief for drugs and other things also. If you want to get high and stay at home all day or party it up as long as you keep your needle to your self and your dependancy doesn't fuck up any other persons life fine then.

I know that I'm not as open to things as I should be. When I was growing up you all ways hear the "hey fag" and things along those lines as a way of bashing someone (who isn't gay) by calling them gay. I will admit that some of that still sticks with me. I try not to do it but it is tough sometimes. I never really mean it in way that is hurt full it is just a way to mess around with someone else and it gets them upset because they find homosexuality wrong. I will admit I am trying to stop it. When someone says it to me I'm not offended since I don't think there is anything wrong about being gay.

Some people say that being gay in unnatural. I say that isn't true there are gay animals. I also think that there is a chance that being gay could be very natural. The best example I can think of is in china where they have the one child clause. Yes I know that there are ways for gays to have kids like invitro and adoption. But from a physical sense two people who with out help wouldn't have a child would be a way to cause population control.

Most people who spout that homosexuality is evil and a sin do believe it. I know there are things that use as examples to back up there point. But what I don't get is I thought you weren't supposed to judge people you know that "he who is without sin cast the first stone" story. I also think that the line that goes something like "a man shouldn't lie with another man" could have other meanigs other then gay sex is wrong. I think that line was put in as a way to put down the Greeks since they where known for gay sex, I have even heard gay sex called greek style. I'm not saying that people who think gay sex is wrong are wrong I just don't agree with how they get there ideas from there religion. I also think it is what they have been taught and then once they believe that they use their bible as a way to back it up.

I do think gays should be treated as equals. I think that one reason why there still is so much hate by some for them is that you don't know who is gay so unless there is a clue you assume someone isn't. For example Asians, Blacks, Women, and other minorities there is something physical that sets them apart. So you might not like blacks but then you know this black guy who is great with computers so you go "hey he isn't like the ones I see on TV, this guy is pretty fucking cool". So by meeting people you learn that all the sterotypes aren't true. But you could work with someone who is gay and go work out with him and be in a shower with 4 gay guys and never know. If you knew they where you might shower by yourself. I do think that they do have the right to be treated as equals and to march and have parades and stuff. I'm sorry but there is a however coming sorry, I don't think they should expect peoples ideas to really change. If someone thinks that homosexuality is a sin you can't expect them to change there religious ideas. Here comes another however, however I think it is fair to be asked not be be harassed by people who think homosexuality is wrong. There is for some people a strong feeling that gays try to push there beliefs that there life style is ok onto others. I don't believe that to be true. But I do see why someone who does think homosexuality is wrong would think that.

I think things like pride weeks, gay groups, and other things along those lines are a good idea. Let face it even rebels want to fit in even if it is just with other rebels a little bit. That is why I think those clubs are good. I also think that it is good to have pride in who you are (as long as it doesn't put you in danger).

I feel as if I have left something out other then Marriage. I do understand why people believe gay marriage is wrong. If you believe being gay is wrong or at least not natural how could you approve of marriage. I think that there are rights that you can only get from marriage and that in every state people both stright and gay should be able to get them and once you get one in one state it would be national. This could even cover Hetero Life mates (movie wise think Jay and Silent Bob, is that a good or bad example), this way you are considered family. There is a difference between getting Married in a church and by the state. I think gays should be allowed to get married by the state and currently it is a state issue. NYS looks like it will recongnize gay marriages in other states now. But currently it is a state issue and not a federal one. I think that it should become a federal issue and gay marriage should be allowed. The reason I say that is right now we are in a real gray area. What happens if say in CA it does become legal to get Married and then you have to move someplace else and that state doesn't give you the rights you just had in that other state. Polygomy is illegal, I think it should be but that is for another time. What if you are a family man living in say South Carolina and you have a gay lover out of state and you then get married if it was to a women you would go to jail but since your state doesn't know about it, there is no pollygomy. See there is so much gray area that I think the feds need to make it legal in every state. That being said Marriage is also a religious mater also. That is why I think that no church or priest should have to Marry anyone they don't want to. I also think they should have the right not to be sued for not doing so. If there religious belief is that it is wrong they can't be held resposneible for doing what they think is right. I don't mean they agree to do it then the day before the event go, oh I changed my mind sorry, that just wouldn't be right.

Hopefully I covered everything I wanted to and congratulations to anyone who made it all the way to the bottom and understood what I was talking about. I almost forgot don't ask don't tell makes no sense. If it was used correctly and stright guys couldn't talk about the girl they fucked then it would be ok. But when you have to fit in you can't go "oh after i fucked becky I walked out to the kitchen naked and saw her mom eating a strawberry so I got out the whip cream and fucked her to" with out lying. But if you tell the truth that you and the boyfriend went dancing and then fucked all day you can get kicked out. If you lie about that stuff what else will that cause people to lie about. Ok I think that is really it, and if anyone didn't see last years Pride Pictures they should be up on my webshots page now.
