Rememberance

First of all I'm not really sure I should post what I'm about to say it is kinda to personal for a blog, but maybe it isn't to personal but I feal like venting a little bit. I maybe should have made the topic Death since That is what I will be writing about but two TV shows have got me thinking about it but I will also talk about the shows and what is going on outside of them.

First of all I have read a few articles on South Park on usatoday's web site. Basicly Isaic Hayes who voices and sings as Chef left the show. He basicly said that the show had gone to far and was hatefull. Matt and Trey Basicly said he had no problems with bashing all kinds of people and Religion Untill we attacked his religion Scincetology. They did bash the hell out of it in The Closet episode last season. They also bashed some famous members of it like Tom Cruise and a few others. But I thought it was funny. This weeks New Episode was the writering out of Chefs Character (well of course it wasn't that simple) Bur I don't want to give anything away for those who may want to still see it. But they did leave it open in a way that he could be brought back. Not that Hayes would ever do the voice. But that was the First show to deal With death.

The Second Show I watched that dealt with death and Remeberance was The L word. {this is a spolier so if you don't want to know what Happened skip ahead} There was a chachater Named Dana Fairbanks who is a gay Pro Tennis Player. She died and this week they where having a Funeral with ashes at a church and the minister said that she would have found a man and had a family if she lived longer, so one of the friends yelled out she was gay then they leave and latter they steal the ashes and go drive up to this waterfall and and have there own memorial for her. I admit some of it was hard to watch (yeah I'm a pussy some times) but it was a verry powerfull episode. There where some flashbacks to how people meet luckly that didn't lead to any weird dreams.

But what that did get me thinking about is how would I be remembered. I think my family, My Friends and My Coworkers and My (E:strip) friends would all view and remember me differantly. I admit that I don't want any body to miss me or be in pain or cry when I'm gone. That is one of the subconcous reasons why I often don't get to close to people, yeah I'm Fucked up. I mostlikey need some couseling. It has always kinda bothered me how at Wakes people who are there often don't talk about the dead person in the casket they talk to each other about what is going on in there lives and they are happy. Grantened I don't want people to be in pain and crying and frialing around like a fish out of water but that person is dead they should be the attention and you should be talking about them and things you remember not what is going on in your life. I guess that is how people deal with the death of a family member. I wish I could remember the exact quote but I heard once that dying isn't tough on the dead it is tough on the ones they leave behind, and that does make sense, sord of. Not really sure where I'm going with this post exactly. But I do think that is is important to remember people who have died and to grieve and that everyone does that differantly. I think that is one reason why some people want to be famous so that there name will be in lights and they will be remembered. I had another point but I lost it in hear somewhare today my mind was really racing last night and I had a lot of thoughts sometimes it is tough to get those out in the way you think them especailly hours after you have those thoughts.

New Music

I like most people like music. I like Various bands and songs. An example of this is the fact that I like Metallica, Linknin Park, Billy Joel, Coldplay, The Shiela Divine, Sum 41, Blink 182, Aerosmith,Led Zepplin, Trans-siberian Ochestra, Jackdaw and many others. But sometimes finding good new music can be tough. When I mean new music I mean new groups or singers not new music by bands you all ready like. To be honest music reviews in Magiaines are no help and are basicly worthless unless they are about a band who you allready have on of there CD's. To say a band sounds Like Nirvana With the Voice of Amy Lee. To know if you like music you really have to hear it and see what the total sound is. Yeah that sounds like it might be good, but also what are their lyrics and do all there songs sound the same? That is why it is also hard to take Recomindations from other people. You may like simalur stuff but that dosn't mean you will like something they do. In any event I do try to find new music I like but not as much as I would like to. Hopefully I will get to find some cool heavy acts and some mellow stuff to. Thn if I find more bands I like I can go to more shows. We will be at peak Concert Season verry soon, Ozzfest has already been announced I should look into what other cities it is going to and maybe make a trip out of it. If the major band that is annouced is who the Rumor is I will go Nuts and Have to go See it Somewhare.

Here are a few more pictures that I hope you ladies and Gents like from the Parade.

St. Matt's Day

The Paradw was awesome on sunday. I took pics and may post them later of the parade. After the parade I went to see Jackdaw at Cozumel and Ran into Ladycroft and Jenks aka Alex. I guess that would be my first random peep meeting it was cool to meet Alex. I havn't seen Jackdaw in some time the last time I was going to see them was last year but that show got cancelled, it was before a bandits game. They were really good and played two sets. Man there where a lot of really hot ladies there also. It was really packed in there and one girl punched me that was kinda cool and there was lots of contact but no groping of me dam, oh well. It is hard to watch them perform on stage when there are ladies moving through the crowd and people are danicing but it was a great show. My pictures of the show didn't come out to good so I think I only have one picture down there.

Well here are some pictures from Matt's 25th Birthday Party I hope you all had a great time and I hope you like the pictures.

Matt's

For those that are expecting pics I havn't downloaded them yet I'm gonna wait untill monday since I'm going to the Parade Today. Well if I have time maybe tonight. Who Knows maybe I'll run into some of you. I"m not sure where me and my sister will watch from. Sometimes she runs into people she knows BuT I usally don't. I met a few (e:peeps) if I froget anyone sorry Like Ryan, Nick, and Imk2 they all seemed preaty cool. There where other people I spoke to aswell, but I still wish I would have been more talkative. Somehow Mike was depanced again. The Huka was verry interesting. Those sugar gliders are preaty cool, i think them walking on me might freak me out not sure.

Speaking of pictures some people may have noticed (or not) that in my blogs the pictures I post are of people who are at the parties or are members or are events I have gone to. For some reason when I talk about things like my cousins weeding I don't like to put their pictures up. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it is a privousy thing Like That I giving my view on something that happend or it is my take on it. But that if they wanted the pictures on line they would have there own Blog or there own website. I don't think I'm explaining it exactly the right way but that is about as close as I can come. Or maybe it is a way of distancing my self and to help keep the blog more personal, not sure. In any event hopefully I will have the pictures up soon and see some others pictures also. Who knows maybe I'll see some of you out and about. If that where to happen it would be My first Random Peep sighting. Hope Everyones weekend was and is enjoyable.

V for Vendetta

I decided to go see V for Vendetta at the elmwood Regal today, nice and early at noon. I thought it was very good. Natilie Portman is such a hottie and she can act preaty good to. It was nice to a movie about the future where freedom is repressed and someone fights it. I don't want to give anything away. The action was good but it also had a stroy and was also political as well. I thought it was verry good. On a side note on my way home I quickly went past the No Hotel protest and could hear chanting. I may disagre with the protestors but I think it is good that they can stand up for what they belive in and fight for it. On a second side note one my way home there was a huge limo it was a Cadalliac Escalade white limo. Someone in my hood must have a lot of money cause there was another one in that same area last week. Hopefully I will see a bunch of you tonight at Matt's. Happy 25th Matt

Child Porn Photo?

Today I have listened to a cool sounding Band named Silverstein. I had heard they where good and then read about them in (e:Hodown,219) journal. The CD is preaty good it also has a DVD that I still need to watch.

But on to my main point. I understand that the Buffalo News wants to have great pictures and pictures that capture the Eye on the front page but I think they may have gone a little to far. I think the coverage of irish dancers is cool and watching them is amazing. Not that I know much about dancing but i would think dancing from the waist down only and hoping and landing would be tough. For anyone that saw the news today I think you know the picture I'm talking about. It as an up skirt shot of two girls legs and a bunch of dancers in the background. The legs where crossed and there was shadowon the legs meaning that the light was hitting the dress and shadowing the legs this made it an upskirt shot. If the picture would have continued you would have seen everything. I have to admit it was a little bit shocking, I wonder what other pics where taken that couldn't be used.

With The Party and watching stuff I taped I don't think I will have time this weekend but I really want to see the new movie V for Vendetta, it really looks cool. I still Have to decide what to bring other then myself and my camara. I saw some kind of peach alcohol at wilson farms but I don't know if it is supposed to be drank warm or cold or if it is really something you are supposed to mix. Hope everyone has a great St. Patricks day Weekend.

St. Pat's Weekend

I admit that the saying "every body is irish" is a little racist it means to me everyone changes who they are and become irish for the holiday. It implies that they are less of a person. Maybe I have just allways read into it. But in any event I hope everyone has a great weekend. I know there are all kinds of things to do. For example the old Neighboorhood Parade on Saturday I belive. There is the Delaware Parade on Sunday wich I plan to go to. I know there are at least a few places that have Events after the parade (s). I belive Jackdaw is performing at Crocidile Bar at 11pm on Friday and at Cozumel after the sunday parade around 4pm. For anyone who is interested there web site is www.brokencans.com Not sure why that is there website as opposed to jackdaw but I hope to see them, I havn't seen them in Years. Of Course saturday is Matt's 25th. I hope everyone has a great Holiday weekend and if you like Hockey or Basketball those are on also.

Progress?

I know that there are a lot of people in Buffalo who are Anti Casino. I can understand that and they have good Reasons. I disagree but that isn't the point I'm getting to. I know there are a lot of people who don't get The Bass Pro deal and think that the money can be spent in better ways. I know there are people who think the Elmwood Hotel is a bad idea. There was a lot of opposition to Pano trying to destroy that cool atwater house. The problem is that us citizens are hurting Buffalo more then we are helping it. Yes the politicans are evil and hurt the city to. But If I wanted to start a buiness I wouldn't come to Buffalo. If I did I would get all kinds of oppostion and I would have to have meetings. I think that it is good to have stanards and ask questions and say we don't aprove and we think it is a bad idea. But what about when there is something you think is a good idea and then others bitch about it. I think we all want Buffalo to grow and get more Business and have more out of towners visit. But if we shoot down everything business that wants to come here then no one will ever come to Buffalo.

Hockey hoops

For those fans of Hockey The sabres are currently on OLN. I'm currently listening to the game on NHL.com . They have a free part of there site called NHL radio and you can listen to games using media player it works preaty good.

I belive strting on the 16th Mens March Madness starts. College Basketball or at least the finals is fun to watch. I never see as much of it as I want to. But they cover it so well on TV with Bonus Coverage and look ins on other games. I know some people who think the pros are better. The only thing is those playoffs take so long with lots of games. I like the excitement of elimanation.

Hopefully I will watch some of the Sabres game on Saturday and Tape Saturday Nights Main Event and then make it over to Matts 25th. Then on Sunday there is the Parade and after WOrds Jackdaw is supposed to be performing at Cozumel. I had another sports thing to mention but I don't remember what it was. Oh hope everyone had a Great Steak and BJ Day. I wonder if there is a Vegatarian Version. Oh does anyone know of a good sports Bar that shows multiple games and has great tunes. That is what elmwood needs is a Sports Bar or is there one I don't know about?
