New - Mass Messages

You now can send post-it messages to mulitple members, making it easier to invite people to parties, announce things, etc. To use this feature, you must be logged in. Click on your post-it control panel and then click on the (send messages) link that appears next to your messages.

From there you can toggle the user list box, select the users you wantto send to and create the message. The message automatically comes from you. If anyone misuses the messaging system, their messaging privileges will be removed.

Messages sent in this format are currently not forwarded to SMS as are regular post-its. I may change my mind on this in the near future.

p:labs Student Loan Calculator

Check it out, I made a a little site wide student loan calculator to see how much we owe in student loans as a group. Each memeber is allowed to input into the chart once. Youc an always delete your entry if you made a mistake or want to remove it.

It is probably some outrageous amount. Do you think it could be $1 million? To get there click on the p:labs link at the top and then click the link to the student loans calc.

Music is Art

I just saw the ntry that (e:metalpeter) wrote [inlink]metalpeter,358[/inlink] about Music is Art Festival 2005 and it reminded me that I wanted to post a link to the event info on the calendar.

Here is a link to the main site musicisart.org/ . Here is a direct link to the MIA schedule

It has something to do qwith chamleon west music studies. I am not a big fan of the tacky flash website. But musicians arn't necessarily visual artists, haha. Here is a video message from Robbie Goo on their site.

The festival is here (MAP TO: 510 FRANKLIN ST)

Here is a web gallery I found of images from the event last year. Maybe it is from (e:metalpeter) 's own gallery.

Local Sports
Local History

We are also looking for other organizations who would like to document the history and progress of their organizations on the site. We can promise you a huge local audience of thousands.

Interface Dance

The search box has been moved up above the user pic. The default now is to search the users journal you are looking at. Once the search box comes up, you can select the all check box to search from all journals instead. It is much faster this way, and also allows space to move the chat and calendar up. I decided to start using the caledar a lot. I will also improve on the calendar interface soon. See help to figure out how it is now.

You can also access both the mozilla plugin and the epoetry search from the search box that pops up when you use the search form above the userpic. The epoetry is much more accessible this way. It should also be faster.

Pride Was A great Sucess

There were so many people at the pride festival at Bidwell park. There were quite a few more people than last year, with a much bigger area. The festival was almost twice as big as last year.

You can see more information about the festival at these sites. Unfortunately, we forgot the video camera this year.

Who would have thought. It is so sad that vehicales have to return to that street and that it couldn't be developed otherwise.
