A bit of a surprise, but a good time

So I finally convinced my good college buddy Junior to come out to Thursday at the Square before he moves back to NYC. He asked me if I wanted to stop by his buddy's/co-workers place along the way. When he told me he lived on Washington St. I knew exactly what building it was, Holling Place next to Diablo. Although we snuck in through the security Door it we didn't realize that units 6 and up were on the right side and in an entire different section and building. We called him and found the place.

It was TOTALLY PIMP. 5th floor loft style the whole bachelor pad works et all. The story is that his roommate's family ended up with a Multi-Million construction accident settlement and that is why the place was stocked. Then again they said they were the first to sign a lease in the building and that also helps to the fact that they only pay a combined total of 640 a month. Not bad at all. The one lesson that he learned from Jr. was this" If you don't have $ find a roommate who does!" Crazy, that is his quote not mine.

After finally prying Jr away from his gawking of a bachelor pad we hit the square and ran into ((e:ladycroft)) Had a descent time, but only caught a few songs from Soullive :-( I ended up being one of those people more absorbed into the social aspect of the square than the music. After he headed back to 501 Washington they watched the finals on ch 7 and then I begged them to head out to Quote.

Needles to say although I missed the Band I wanted to see the most seeing the inside of that building was very interesting. So after taking it easy after the square I am almost out of here for the a long weekend!!! Now I have to figure out what to do with myself.

Thanks again ((e:ladycroft)) for a great time after the square at Quote. At least one man in this world RECOGNIZES!!!!

Yea, This place sucks...

So a now former cocktail waitress came in yesterday and cashed out the remainder of her poker chips that she recieved as tips. Then she told me that she no longer works here anymore.

She was the roomate of the Iraqi veteren that was stabbed on Amherst St. After all she did for someone that went over there, agree or disagree with the BS over there she deserved better. Now they have a "points" system here at work where if you mis x# of days you are toast. Well in actuality we just know that it is just for a paper trail to get rid of you, if they don't like you. People that are a always calling in get a free pass if you play your politics right.

The point that I am trying to make is if we had more protection for same sex partners, ect this would have never happend. She could have just went Family Leave Act and that was it. But since she was just a "roomate" and missed too many days she was fired.

I can't wait to get the F out of this place soon.

Ignorant, Greedy, Pigs!

World Cup, enjoying life or trying to..

What Happened to Poland? I just have this gut feeling that they are going to finish third for some reason. We will see in the next game if that even has a remote possibility of happening.

If they crap out then I guess I will have to pull for my adopted team Ghana. I just love pulling for a young up and coming team in a tough situation or group in this case. Czech Rep, Italy, USA what luck of the draw!! But, they are my one college buddy's native team so I joining him. It's just that they really have all the elements of a team that I would totally pull for, being green underdogs.

So I just can't waste any more time today. I didn't do anything last night but sleep. Not savoring my free time is a bit of a let down, but after 12 hours of sleep I do feel much better physically and mentally. So I guess it beats waking up with a hangover.

Now I have to get my butt down to Allen and Franklin to catch my Cousin's band The Bailey Quarters playing MIA @ 2:45.

Thursday at the Square II

So with a few people going today where is everyone going to be mostly? Left Stage, right Stage back beet tent?

I usually find myself watching the show from the extreme left or right street sides.

I'm not too sure on what I'll be wearing.

So if anyone wants to actually meet up for the Square let me know.

I'll most likely be arriving around 7-7:30. It's just I don't have the energy to be there for the entirety.

Thursday at the Square

When I first read the schedule for this year I just passed over Mike Doughty's band. Then someone at work today asked me to check the lineup for tomorrow, then I read the write up,THE FORMER LEAD SINGER OF SOUL COUGHING!!! I loved those guys back in the day.

Oh, the song True Dreams of Wichita just brings back memories of my late best friend Mike.

All I have going through my head right now is Super Bon Bon

Move aside and let the man go through let the man go through

I just remember what my old friend Colleen called his music "Slacker Jazz!"

This is going to be an interesting show to see how his solo stuff fairs. Just the song title that they reference on sounds interesting, "Busting up a Starbucks"

Sunset

Hate posting twice in the top 12 but I just had to post this pic and have a post on this day that is supposed to be "evil."

After 3 hours of inline skating this evening I was going to go to spot but just felt way too tired to carry on. So I got off on the Ontario St exit and entered the boat launch/fishing parking lot along the 190 and just reflected about things in my life to this:

Are Investment Bankers on Wall St. playing a joke for today?

A post from Work!!!

[search][/search]So I have decided I am going to risk a post from the network @ the casino. Actually I'm not too worried about the things that I have posted on here. Now if it was my LJ then I'd be a bit worried.

I had a solid but laid back weekend. Spent time with my old high school friend Christine and we just had a quick dinner at this place out in the country called Bandanna's. All we basically did was just share war stories and catch up on things that happened over a decade ago that just tweak your persecutions of people about past events. Strange how knowing one small detail just changes your view on a person for the good, bad or shock. Later that night I ended up hitting up HUSH @ this casino with my old college buddy Junior. He basically drafted me as an adopted fan for Ghana for the World Cup. Hush has finally come into it's own as I estimate there were more people there on Saturday than on Third Street. It was an interesting time, but a little too heavy of a toll on the wallet.

Sunday I just spent over in Fort Erie with my long time friend Scott. We always spoke about going over to the track and we finally did on a descent day. I didn't lose too much, but I did have a good time with an old friend with a brain. Which is never a bad time.

So that was my calm but occupied weekend.
