It's official. As of 11:26pm central last night, I am now Auntie Mika! My nephew came a few weeks early. His name is William Maximilian; they are going to call him Max. I am happy. When he's able to talk and call me Auntie Mika, it will be the first time in my life I am really the aunt. I love my goddaughter and all, but it just isn't the same.

On a side note, I think my new vitamins make me sick. I took one this morning and I was suddenly overcome with nausea and started dry heaving in my trash bin (I'm in the office). I felt a little queasy yesterday too – but I thought nothing of it because I've had stomach issues since my surgery. Ciao.

If you know me, you know how much I love my Bambi. I was elated to get a few days off work and school to be able to go home and chill with her. She never left my side the entire time I was home. That's soup for the soul.

goblet of fire!

I went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It is absolutely amazing!!!!! We get to see the birth of Voldemort, in his own flesh, portrayed by the brilliantly devilish Ralph Fiennes. The boys have grown up a little and I'm all about that shaggy hair! I want to say so much more but I don't want to post any spoilers. Just go see it! Before the movie some friends and I got together for dinner and laughs. Happy Potter everyone! Ciao.

so much snow!

I cannot believe the first snowfall of the season is this bad!! I took a few more photos so you can see the progression from last night when it started. They actually cancelled all classes!

I wanted to get some Vicks last night, but it was narly out. Now I'm really screwed because I can't even get out of the parking lot. Aqua Mouse is buried!

At first site of the snow I began to panic. I was thinking to myself, OMG I'm supposed to see the midnight showing of Harry Potter tonight!!! I'll be devastated if it's a mess like this. Then I heard that it's just the Hamburg/Orchard Park area that's getting molested and the location of said midnight showing is clear! Snap!

thundering snowfall?

The first official snowfall at Hilbert, yikes! The little snowflake vampires are on a mission to suck the colour out of everything, blanketing it in a cold and slushy sheet of white. But what's super bizarre is the thunder. A snowing thunderstorm? That's a nature first for me folks. I need to get some Vicks but it's wicked out there!

aqua mouse returns, again!

I just picked up a relatively healthy Aqua Mouse at the shop. I'm sooooooooo happy. As it turns out, something was wrong with the shifting cable and it wasn't able to properly lock in park. This was, as a safety feature, preventing the car from starting. Best news, this time, it only cost me $40!!!! I think that needs to go down in the record books as the least amount of money I have ever paid when taking my car in for repairs. Sweet! So, to all of you that have been so kind as to give me rides during the last 3 weeks, I am most grateful. You know I will return the favor any time! Ciao.
