I thought that this was interesting given the few people that work for Roswell on here.

One of the leading authorities of self-help education for cancer patients and considered by many authorities to be the world's leading expert on cancer, Dr. Leonard Coldwell, discussed the nature of the disease and why he believes chemotherapy, radiation, and mammograms cause cancer. In looking at the primary driver behind the illness, Coldwell contended that 90% of all cancers, as well as other sicknesses, are caused by stress. He pointed to "constant worries, doubts, and fears" as well as lack of self love and hope for the future as key factors in reducing energy levels, weakening the immune system, and leading to diseases like cancer.

He warned that patients who undergo traditional cancer treatments, like chemotherapy, are "as good as dead." As such, Coldwell shared some natural methods for fighting the disease. One tactic, he said, involves ingesting the combination of a spoonful of pharmaceutical baking soda and five spoonfuls of organic maple syrup, heated up to form a solid mass. This concoction, he said, acts as a "Trojan horse," since cancer cells will flock to the syrup's high sugar content and then be killed by the baking soda. Coldwell also advised drinking a gallon of water which contains a teaspoon of sea salt every day and avoiding the use of plastic containers for food and water. "You can always do the medical treatment," he said to those who may be skeptics, asking rhetorically "so why don't you try the natural first?"

Coldwell was highly critical of the mainstream medical industry which, he noted, nets billions of dollars from cancer detection and treatment. He asserted that the pharmaceutical industry has no interest in curing cancer and ultimately wants to turn it into a "manageable disease like diabetes." He claimed that his work towards eradicating cancer is so dangerous to the pharmaceutical industry that, when his first book was about to be published, he was offered a quarter of a million dollars to suppress it. After rebuffing the offer, Coldwell said, he was shot at two days later and had his car bombed two weeks after that. Citing similar treatment for other alternative treatment advocates, he lamented that "we live with daily death threats."

Evolution... No one has proved it... but yet we see examples everyday... For example two people have a kid who are the same height kid is taller then both.... Now you could call that better health. But all call it evolving..... Also if you believe in the fact that all man kind was in one place and then that land mass broke apart then over time that would explain how features in hair and skin color changed.... Ireland is cloudy hence pale skin where as Africa the dark skin is needed... So it only makes sense that over time that "Humans" Changed.... Now is adaption the same thing maybe or maybe DNA changed and traits with it...

But what does that have to do with cancer.... Some cancers do run in families if you believe that... Yes it is a bit of a leap but I think Cancer is when evolution goes wrong or doesn't work. It is at least that same process.... Something that we don't understand tells those cells to grow in certain way and then doesn't tell them to turn off and it kills the host....

So everyone has what causes cancer and certain things turn it on or can cause it to start that process.....

So if someone can figure evolution or adaption what ever you want to call it then they will figure out most cancers......

Not bashing Roswell or St. Jude they do help a lot of people beat cancer but 150years and they still haven't figured out how to stop it and only know how to kill it.... You see why people think something smells Fishy......

Some times if they catch it early they can remove the cancer cells and it doesn't come back.... Now when it does come back.. There are people who do believe that at one point there was a cure for cancer found and it was buried.... Now I don't know about that and I don't know enough about the science but there are a few things that this article does have right.....

Those things do cause cancer but they also kill it... What they all do kinda is they kill the Cancer sells and hopefully kill them all before they kill you... Chemo makes you sick and then you don't eat right or at all some times you get sick... Radiation Kills those cells pretty good But then you can get it someplace......

Holistic cures and alternative medicine are great, but not if they are ludicrous. The benefits of a plant based diet with low energy density, plenty of exercise, proper hydration, healthful sleep habits, and generally, a simpler lifestyle is universally known.

What is worrisome is that people don't easily change to adopt these lifestyles when they are relatively healthy. People only consider changing their lifestyles seriously when they are faced with health problems. At that point, what is universally known to be healthy becomes a "holistic cure" instead of just being known as general wisdom and common sense. Throw in some commonplace mixtures such as sugar and baking soda and you have a genuine quack's guide to curing cancer.

I can't help laughing. Think about it, how can cancer cells (that are very much part of our bodies, just like any other cells) and are enmeshed in its tissues "flock" to something that is in the stomach within the brief 2 hours or less after which it will be broken and/or degraded into elemental forms for absorption? If cancer cells were THAT autonomous in their actions, there would be no hope for cancer patients at all and all they would have would be holes in their entire body, what will all the "flocking" that cancer cells would be capable of.

The Funny thing is Most of the food trucks by the time they are someplace I've missed them and I'm a fan of Llyods.... I think what we are maybe really debating is what is fair?

What is really an even playing ground is an interesting question really.... Don't get me wrong I love the truck idea but since you are outside you can walk and eat or lean on a building or find ground or someplace to sit.... So would it be fair for Bigger trucks less mobile that had a setting area? So I admit there any sit down place does have an advantage ......

Now what I would love to see but it will never happen is for all the food truck people and anyone who owns a bar or any place food is served to have a big giant round table and state what they think about food trucks and the issue then let the law makers watch and let them come up with some fair laws.... Now the reason I mention bars is a few years back at I think taste of buffalo not sure they had this big lot and Labbatt had a truck with a set up that you where buying beer right from the Semi truck and up top there was a stage.... The other reason I mention bars is that the ones who serve food and beer have two things.... Don't know NYS laws but why can't there be a Beer truck (granted drinking any thing out side would be a crime) but that is what they do at Thursday at the square set up the truck back and put up tables and there you go......

It is great that we have great food trucks.... But most good things get ruined by a small number of bad people... It would be nice to have the right laws in place so it doesn't happen... But both sides have just as much right to their ideas on the laws...

My main concern is that food truck can roam free with out hurting any one else who is selling food including not really mentioned in this the food cart people... There also needs to be some way or some system that works and is fair to deal with bad food trucks... If there is some problem it shouldn't take a month to fix... You just report the problem and the inspectors show up and see what the problem is... I hold this both ways... If a food truck is set up selling taco's Mighty Taco can't send some guy dressed in a board sign or what ever for mighty taco in front of his truck to try and steal eaters .... "hey that is a long line what you getting....OH that is called this down the street a bet your there isn't a line there never is at this time" type of thing....

Just have to ad one thing that I don't think I have heard anyone mention in this debate and I don't mean just between us I mean in the news.... This goes back to (even chain places run by local people) why I think there should be a big pow wow... Do food trucks do better near restaurants ? And this the opposite also true? Granted it has been a long time since the research was done on fast food places but Burger Kings and McDonald's that are near each other do better then opens where there isn't a competitor ****

What I'm saying is....substitute "Food Truck" with "Brick and Mortar".

For the record, I don't even care for Lloyd's, though I've only once been a patron. The reality is that personal preference isn't what's important here; it's about what's fair.

Consider this: 20 years from now, most food establishments are based out of trucks. The concept of brick and mortar fast food places is antiquated, thought of as terribly inefficient. High-traffic locations are free'd up for other businesses that can make more appropriate use of them and possess a synergy with the food trucks that frequent the sites.

Either this sounds possible or laughable. If it sounds possible, then what this law does is stymie innovation. If it sounds laughable, then it weakens the argument that this will somehow destroy these businesses.

In the end, ETS has the ability to make a truck of their own. They are on equal playing ground. 500 feet seems more than reasonable to me to prevent any shock to the establishment. Trying to block them from the village does not.

One other thing that the law needs to address is food trucks near food trucks..... The reason I say this is could all the food trucks say be in a certain empty lot.... What if say Jim's or ETS or Mighty Taco as examples want to start a food truck.... and that brings up my point about why ETS needs protection.... Why can't say Mighty Taco who's locations all ways seem to change why can't they go out and get 2 maybe 3 trucks make them hybrids or what ever type of fuel source they like and send them out at what ever time they want to Elmwood?

As Another Example why can't some National company set up Desert trucks on Elmwood and try and get sweetooth and Zillycakes to close......

The Point is if you are in stock trading or any other form of capitalism there will all ways be predators and people who just want to fuck or who will fuck you over and as cool of an idea as food trucks are gotta make sure that there is no way for them to do that.......

As of right now there is no permit process or law other than NYS sanitary rules. There isn't any way if they even wanted to get a permit to operate on public property. The city council REFUSES to make any rules because of pressure from ETS, Jim's & Just Pizza. They now operate on PRIVATE PROPERTY by invitation only. WHAT ABOUT PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS?

It's all about pressure from people that have clout in the city to prevent anyone from competing against them. The ones with the friends in high places make the rules in this city. Forget about the free market or capitalism. That's why Buffalo fails, it's all about who you know not about the best product.

Here you have someone that moved back to Buffalo to go into business, but the dude from Jim's is afraid of competition down the street, calls a friend and shuts it down. You have someone with a new idea, but because people have pull they snuff it out.

See like Flash Mobs everyone thinks oh we have great food trucks and we do.... But like flash mobs it only takes one bad one or worse yet how about out of town people who could bring trucks in and try to put local buffalo places out of Business hey why can't (now that they are in the burbs out near the Galleria mall it would be silly) Chipotle say come in with a fleet or really all they need is two and part on either side of ETS..... Kill all there summer Buisness then vanish......

Just Pizza (yes I remember when that is all they had) not sure how the franchises are Have put a lot of money and time into being the best Specialty Pizza place .... Where this I think ties in for them and Jim's Is that I think they both are at other festivals and have there own set up and charge more..... Now Lets say someone comes up with a pizza truck they could be not even part of say The Italian Festival and Park where everyone walks to enter... Or if they are part of the festival be another pizza place oh and then when that Festival ends for the night go drive and hang out at their corner....

I love the idea of food trucks and think they are great.... I do agree in a free market.... but the problem is in this fucked up country of ours people lie, cheat and steal so they can make half a cent more and so there has to be a way to make sure that that the playing field is even I say the trucks should be like the ice cream trucks and play music and not camp out with the exception of festivals in that case just like the stands they have to stay there for entire thing and can't leave and come back the next day.... You have to bring the supplies to the truck....

On a side note how is the food inspected and how are they inspected for clean and good food?

This is the demographic of Western New York that goes to this things or the part that you just can't shake like a bad smell in old sneakers.

They don't want to remember the band, music or show; This is what it's all about to them!

I admit I would rather people go for the specific band but some people even who do have to get high or smashed to go and then don't remember the show that isn't my thing and I think it is fucked up but that is how they enjoy the show so just don't spill beer on me or if you do buy me a drink.....

Social Engineered (sort of)

So I was sitting at the Orange Cat today with my Mom in Lewiston

and I overheard a couple of young women say something to the effect of:

Blah Blah Blah, Over there him, Blah Blah Blah It's like a facebook for Buffalo Blah Blah Blah...

Then I realized that I tweeted that I was there at the OC and this profile page is linked to my twitter account. It's funny because when I looked under the Orange Cat in the search box I saw the twitter account for the chick that was sitting in front of me.

I always used to get crazy about my Ex-Girlfriend talking about specific details about my life out in public. I remember down in Florida I was able to locate a ton of info on someone from 4 words from a conversation on a patio restaurant.

To be honest I really don't care too much as I'm trying to maximize my twitter account to get my Klout score up just because I'm bored with being off of work. But it is creepy sometimes when you're out and you swear you recognize someone then realize that you saw a dating profile of them somewhere on OK Cupid or Plentyoffish.

To me this experience was a bit amusing and goes to show how digitized we are as in the amount of info we can pull up on each other in public with just a tiny bit to go on. Yet going over to them and striking up a conversation in person would be ultra creepy. It's just part of the whole text but don't call type of thing that we've moved into these days.

Basically I'm writing to say that water street landing at in 115 South Water St Lewiston NY 14092 716.754.9200 in Lewiston NY totally SUCKS.

Basically we were at another Lewiston Establishment, told there was a hour wait. This was 6:20 PM. We tried to figure out what else to do and then called this place. They said that they could serve a party of 4 when we arrived, Great. We came down sat in the pub side, which was half empty. This is now 6:35 as we order a round of drinks. Time flies by it is not 7:15 we have to WAIVE or FLAG Down the bartender/waiter at this point to get another round. The food should be out by now right? NO, 7:35 rolls around, still no food. Keep in a couple who came after us ordered, ate and paid their check and is out the door at this point is on their way to see a concert at Artpark, the same one we are heading to.

At this point we just pull a typical Hell's Kitchen and pay for the drinks and walk out. The ironic part is that they kept on stalling us to give us our bar tab. Talk about adding insult to injury. We after a hour plus of waiting we walked out as we had to catch the concert at Artpark.

If you're thinking about this place make sure you have time to waste looking at the view of the Niagara River float by because that's all this place is good for is the view. The food is over priced and the service is non-existent.

Another thing manager is extremely rude. She made it a point to insult me saying "we're extremely busy on the patio." Well guess what Ma'am I'm from Lewiston, my parents came here now as I won't let them frequent this establishment any longer 2-3 times a month; It wasn't any busier today than it would be on a typical Wednesday. There are concerts at Artpark every Tuesday and Wednesday during the summer months; this is clockwork not a surprise. I've been here on Friday for fishfry which in Western New York is a well frequented and busy event, it wasn't even 1/2 as busy as it was Today.

Horrible Staff and Service, if you like being insulted while looking at the river then this is your place. When does the customer deserve blame to wait over a hour for their order to be served without any contact or explanation. A simple apology would have sufficed but the condescending insults were totally uncalled for. People walk out of restaurants for being extremely show all the time, just watch an episode of Hellâ€™s Kitchen. At least Gordon Ramsey takes it out on the staff not the customers. Please keep in mind I an a local non-tourist that lives in the area and whose parents are frequent customers.

Just think if they treat me this way, what do you think theyâ€™ll do you to a passing through town tourist?

Why Niagara Falls Sucks

I found this gem on Craigslist R&R's

So True on so many levels!

They wonder why so many people leave this place? It's obvious. You can't make a life here. The jobs pay nothing, and every house you go to buy you have to contend with renters who either lie and say they know nothing about a house showing (so you can't get in), disappear when they're supposed to let you in, or they refuse to leave once a deal has been signed. The property management companies own so much property here that it's becoming almost impossible to actually buy anything, and so many owners are renting out because no one is willing to pay top dollar for rundown houses in crappy neighborhoods.

And who's renting these places you ask? Of course, bums, drug addicts, drunks, gang bangers, and single mom whores on Section 8 who refuse to work, sitting on their fat asses yelling at their bad ass kids all day. Listen to an ad I read for a house being sold right now in Niagara Falls:

So the ad clearly establishes that the tenant is a loser who refuses to work, and gets a huge nice FREE house all paid for by the state. I've seen the tenant and she's just another fat piece of despicable white trash. The sad part is that this house is not only nice but in a good neighborhood. What a damn shame.

But if the rent problem isn't enough, you've got these Real Estate companies blocking deals. They'll lie and say they've talked to their client and made the offer, then you see the client on the street and ask them about it and they're like "I never got any offer! WTF is going on?". The companies do that so they can make a fake bidding war to get you to pay more money, and since if you buy a house in Niagara Falls you'd be bidding against a property management company 99% of the time because they're the only ones really buying houses here (so they can rent them out), you're going to lose because they're always going to be willing to top your offer.

I need to get out of this city somehow, but it's tough to figure out where to go and what place has the best to offer. I used to love this place, but now it's pretty much unbearable to live here. How unbearable you ask? Well, if the Devil died, God would force him to spend all eternity in Niagara Falls, NY.
