Ok I may have been reading this guy's blog too long but in practically there is no way things are going to go on as they have. I don't own Real Estate but at the same time I've had this vision with a friend of mine concerning 1930's style bank runs. We'll just have to see what banks were belligerent with giving deadbeats mortgages that never even made the first payment. Although to me that is just secondary.

What is going to F everyone is going to be $100 a barrel Oil. It could be inflation or just the devaluation of the Georgeback against every major currency that translates into higher fuel prices. At this point who really cares that Ben is droping $ out of helicopters to help his friends out at Citigroup. When people are now going to blow $100 a week in gas in the winter months, Who knows what is going to happen in 7 months when that "Summer Driving Season" kicks in. We should be sitting close to 5 when that happens. By the end of the month we'll be approximately 3.5 easy. That will be less stuff @ Target, Walmart and eating out at Crapplebees or other nasty chain.

My prediction is by the end of the Year we'll be seeing the Dow around 10K. This week is only the first wave. Adjust the 401K's to money markets. It's only going to get worse. The Financials are Fucked, banks are the fluid that keeps out economy floating.

Basically I'm pretty nervous. Except that my positions are just Silver and Gold. If you can afford it buy some silver stocks. With Gold being @ 800 an ounce the historic correlation should have it much higher than the 15 that it sits right now. The 1980 high is around 50 an ounce. We'll get there within a year...

Time for bed. It should be interesting to see what my laize fair Professor says this morning. In my opinion when the next Democratic President takes the election almost a year from now they will be running on a FDR platform. It will just be like shooting fish in a barrel. Deregulation Capitalists will be kept far away from sharp objects and Washington for decades after this mess really gains momentum.

I'm trying to do some schoolwork and in a perfect world I should be watching the original movie "The Crow" Tonight. Not the shitty ass greedy Hollywood sequels. It's sad that the made 3 of those "other" one's.

So with a long night @ the NU library working on my Accounting Theory homework a woman in the row of computers drops a bunch of papers. I turn around and pick them up not thinking much about it. Well as they are kicking us out of the place we start talking as we head out to our cars. After about 15 minutes of conversation in the cold we exchange numbers. She's working on her social work masters @ UB but comes back to NU since he did her under grad here and likes the cozy small campus.

So we're most likely going to see Saw 4 in the near future. I'm not sure if anything is going to come out of this but at least I got a nice ego boost. I just wonder if stuff like this that falls in my lap can be a possible negative since it skews my "game" in the sense that I'm not as extending/outgoing when I'm out hitting the scene?

Those two links should illustrate what Rupert is really after. From what I saw today basically it is totally dummed down news given by "hot chicks." They have taken it to the lowest common denominator. Everything they have done so far is to "talk down" to the viewer. When I was 18 I was challenged to figure out what they were talking about and move my level up to theirs not to hope they lower themselves to mine.

I'm sure if Rupert could have those chicks appear topless like page 3 in those tabloids he'd do it in a heartbeat. So in that sense it's ironic that a conservative media outlet puts first and foremost "hot chicks;" What kind of family values is that trying to portray?

CNBC has the High Net Worth individuals and for the time being I don't see them going astray except for some eye Candy. The problem is what are they going to do when Murdock takes the Wall Street Journal the bible of American business to the Junior College Level from the current MBA level that is written? What will the professors make their students read for class projects at that point? That is what is really going to cause the next business downturn, bad business journalism NOT SubPrime Credit Crunches...

The University of South Florida Bulls are #2 in the Nation! Wow is all I can say. Actually I've been wearing my old USF hat that I bought 7 years ago around town. What is cool is it's the old logo and no one can call me a "bandwagon jumper" Since my Mom lives in Sarasota for most of the year I adopted the Tampa Bay area teams. Back in the day USF had a campus in Sarasota, New College. Although they regained their independence as an institution last year it's just amazing to see a school that had 2,000 students 48 years ago become a national power in a sport.

It's just good to have other outlets for my sporting requirements. After last Monday I'm glad that I have had my heart associated with a team that won a Super Bowl, Go Bucs! Watching the game today although not entertaining as the Monday night game, did provide an outlet for sports legitimacy.

I must say although most baseball purists were not fans of the late game I absolutely loved it. To me there is nothing cooler than a sporting event being live @ 1am in the morning. When I was sitting at the bar with my friend B.B. last night at Frizzy's it was a blast. That place is so much fun for some reason. It was also great to run into a couple of (e:strip) peeps which just made it an even better time.

So what happened after the Sox imploded? We ended up on some bar on Englewood! Don't ask, I would blog about it but I do like to keep myself from appearing to be a bitter dude...

Well a couple of days ago I took a page out of the DC Craigslist Personals playbook and posted an ad myself. It was basically m4w 31 with an extra ticket to Matthew Good at Club infiniti last night. What blew me away is that someone actually responded and was excited to go and open to me as a person.

So after a few emails and text messages I met her after work at Infinity and had a really enjoyable evening. She's pretty cool but to be honest I didn't feel "fireworks." At some other level I was pretty blown away that even through a anonymous system the prototype to the type of woman that I attract responded. Although the difference is that she is pretty quiet and reserved a role that I am usually filling. So to be the person in the relationship doing all the talking, decision making and such I'm not too sure I'm up for having the majority of that kind of responsibility.

But I cannot count this as a failure at all. I'm just using that title as a tribute to the song that is going through my head. Actually it work out as planned. I wanted to share the show with someone cool that appreciated his music. It worked out as hoped actually, but the show being sold out did help I would imagine.

Needless to say it was a great show. Matt Good is all that I would imagined to be in person. Plus it was cool to run into briefly (e:Pyrcedgrrl)

I ended up taking a few autumn pics yesterday as I was roller blading along the bike path that runs through Niawanda/Isle View Park in Tonawanda.

After finishing up I ended up going out for a bit with my friend Pat. I've been friends with him for almost 4 years. It was Livejournal that was the mechanism for us getting together. The occasion for going out last night was he's moving to San Fran Monday in search of a better animation job and to escape the coming winter. He's going to do alright out there as he traded for a "Grandpa" van to make the move out there with all of his stuff on Craigslist.

We ended up stopping by the I <3 the 90's dance party at the Icon's last night (although the address was the Icon in a prior incarnation in the 1990's) We ended up meeting this guy from London Ontario who was in town for a speed metal show at Showplace. Supposedly he works for Labatt's and was fascinated with American beer as he was drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon all night. He asked if I could tell him of a bar that served Michelob since he collects bottles and was looking for one. All I could tell him was that most places on the Chip Strip serve Mich Amber, Light or Ultra and not the regular Michelob. Needless to say it was quite interesting and I hope that his new relationship with some chick he met at the show works out. London to Buffalo is a 2 hour drive.

So after heading there we stopped at the Pink for a quick one. This is why I love the pink. I'm in there and I hear this song, I know all of the words. It turns out the DJ is playing Adorable's "Homeboy" from 1992!!! They're probably one of the best "showgaze" bands of all time and I haven't heard them in at least 7 years or so. It was ALMOST better than sex, ha ha!

We then ended up calling it a night early and went to Town for Pat's last restaurant meal in Buffalo. As the pic is taken outside.
