Trashy flowers
I walked by the little park at Allen and Main on the way home from work. I'm so used to expecting trash on Allen that when I saw it was covered in paper scraps I wasn't surprised.
Then I took a closer look - it wasn't paper but instead flowers bursting out of the grass. Who'd a thunk?
PS sorry I've abandoned you (e:strip) hopefully I will be done with Squeaky Wheel and 70+ hour weeks soon and adopt you again. <3

Hiking at 18 mile creek
I never had been down there so the fact that there are some hills so close to the city surprised me. The water and waterfalls might actually would have been nice if it wasn't clearly sewer overflow from melting snow ;(.
Luckily they're turning the headwaters into a new county park.
So foggy on the skyway down. You couldn't see anything. Glad I wasn't driving.
Shale scrambling!
The foxhole we found.
Deerhole we found.

Crazy weekend
We ended up going with Mickey to meet Mike, Seth, (e:flacidness) and Brett at Nietschie's. Almost out the pink and had some beardy man try and make out with me.
The next day was international Donna Day - my mom's cousin. Since we don't celebrate her birthday somehow April 1st evolved into her prank celebration. We used to tp her house in the early morning.
After I rode back from that, I got to open a coconut for the first time. The water and flesh were freaking amazing.
We watched this movie called "Wolf Cop" which was so bad. There was werewolf penis and a lot of decapitation.
At night, (e:terry) and I visited this Squeaky Wheel party at Milkie's. UVB performed an AOL set with dial up tones and AOL trial CDs set up in the background.
We were going to go to a party on Ferry after that, but somehow got so caught up in talking we ended up at Casey's house. So we had a party in (e:yesthatcasey)'s room with (e:uchina) and (e:steve). Pretty good night.

Windows support
Tony had a CD that had instructions on it to launch the programs via browsing files via the run dialog, circa Windows 95. But when he went into the run box, instead of hitting browse, he hit okay.
It turns out the last command entered in there was to launch the new user dialog. And somehow he managed to create a new account with the same name, overwriting his old profile
Luckily the old profile's data was still on the computer, and I just had to run a system restore back before.
Plus I got a cheese sandwich for my troubles.

901 Mannequins and solar on Linwood
After work we went on a quick bike ride around the neighborhood. I noticed this blue house down the street has panels already - guess we won't be the first. I really think they look cool - and for all the haters, you barely notice them from the street.
The Burchfield Penny Front Yard project is now down to a OS X error message and three copies of it's desktop background. Some artsy type should turn it into error based art based on the current setup - I think it would be way cooler.

Back to the botan
I really liked the cacti this time. This one is actually really tiny but if you put your phone in the pebbles it's like you're in some sort of crazy desert.
Phallic cactus
Tiny drops all over the flower bud.
Paul got pricked somehow?
Bonsi tree
and the lieblings orchid.
The absolutely best part was Farmer's brown animal show (or whatever it was called) in the back shed.
Look at these buddies.
So freaking cute. I almost want a chicken now.
Goats on goats
At the end of the trip we went around to Lackawanna to go to Mulberrys. It was expensive but super delicious. Lackawanna is building a million new homes in the vacant burned out section near Bethlehem Steel. Why?

Spring cleaning
Afterwards we headed out to Wasabi for a sushi break.
Later that night we headed out with unhibernated (e:yesthatcasey), (e:libertad) and (e:mike) out to the gay bars. They were handing out waffles to advertise some gay fundraiser brunch, and (e:mike) thought it was a good time to tell his story about serving fingertip quiche.
At cathode, I thought this was going to be an ad for a gay gym but it sounds more like a bathouse. Same thing? It's also in Syracuse
At Funky Monkey I had a really strange conversation with the owner about how it used to be okay to drunk drive, and now people would rather drink at home if they can't find a way out to the bars without driving, and it wasn't good for business . I don't think he was advocating for drunk driving now but it seems insane to even think about.

Shopping with Mike and Dave
I got a pierogi, it was pretty good.
Afterwards we headed over to Bed Bath and Beyond. It was mostly full of old lady junk and bullshit like this salt lamp (healing negative ions?) but we did get a discounted soap dish for the bathroom thanks to (e:mike).

I don't care if it's still cold I'm trying to ride every day now. No way am I going to be slow on a bike this summer.
