Blueberry picking

After swimming at the cabin, we headed over to a nearby blueberry farm to pick some berries. It was only $1 a pound, so of course we got 15 pounds. (e:paul) and (e:terry) had never been picking before.

Not sure what we're going to do with them yet but it's going to be delicious. Pie? Jam? They're ridiculously good.

Franklinville swimming

While we were at Bass Mountain, (e:paul) talked to Brian found out that him and (e:holly) were also in Franklinville - in a cabin only a few miles away.

So we met up with them at a diner where Holly shocked all the locals. Then we went up to their cabin to swim in the pond. The house was amazing. It was perched on a wooded hill overlooking everything, and had a spring fed pond you could swim in. I wish I could have taken more pictures.

Bass Mountain

(e:yesthatcasey), (e:paul), (e:terry) and I went down to Franklinville for Bass Mountain this week. At first we thought it was going to be lame - the organizers announced the day before we left that there could be no fires, no reentry, no pets or weapons.

The hosts were lame. We almost got kicked out for swimming in the lake, and they ran a terrible restaurant. They banned coolers, although we got it in anyway.

But despite all the rules, the landscape was beautiful and the music was ridiculous. Paul and I danced ourselves exhausted to so many different types of music. We got to hang out with Casey's friend Masumi and her friend Liz. Terry and I tumbled down some hills. It ended up being one of the best weekends of the summer so far.
