Don't Get Mad

Ok, so this article is going to piss some of you off, but go ahead and read it: The workplace should be segregated. Maybe.

She's so cute, you'd think she'd be a really nice lady
image

Made some people I know really mad and they starting calling Ms. Trunk really rude names like "Stupidhead" and "poopypants" and "smellycunt" (my personal favorite). This was my reply.

I know this article is going to get people emotionally charged as it was intended to do, but unless you wish to prove dear Ms. Trunk right I beg all readers of all genders to stop and think about what she is saying before reacting.

To be clear, I don't "agree" with her out of hand. I don't entirely disagree with her either though. Still If I were to make statements about the information she's collected, they'd sound completely different.

I'm only going to make this point before standing back from this dervish of emotionally charged blades of scientific stereotyping and sexism. Averages are tools to be used to protect you from dangers not subject you to servitude. If women are generally better at a certain task it'd serve the employer of one to perform such a task to seek a woman when trying to find the right "man" for that job. You'll save time and energy not rejecting every candidate, but you'd also rob your self of an amazing candidate if you were to ignore every male applicant. It goes both ways.

Ultimately if you're bent from reading that article you're making the same kind of mistake as a stereotyper but to the article writer and the publications advantage. Notice the adversing in the margines. You're also just human, so I forgive you. Hopefully that'll give you enough cause to put down your picket signs and pitchforks and maybe be a bit more entertained than offended. Yah, think of this article as microcosm of the Fox News business model. It's really just entertainment ...dangerous irresponsible misleading polarizing entertainment.

I'm going to go bake a more delicious cake than you can make now.

No, I'm not sharing.

Love Never Fails

I responded to someones assertion to love that read as follows:

"Love never fails. If it's not gonna matter tomorrow, make it right today ♥"

Like this:

"Love fails all the time. Sometimes we keep trying to make it right with the wrong alcoholic convict harlot theif sociopath cause we loooooove them, but no hard feelings, nothing's perfect."

Some one named Sarah responded with:

"Thats not love boo boo thats lust cause pure unadulterated love never returns to you void.."

And I was a jerk who dismissed her comment by calling her "young". Lame I know. I tried to fix things with this next bit whcih I think is apropos what with candy and cards day just around the bend.

"You're right Sarah. Dismissing someone's knowledge of anything on a the basis of youth or any quality of that individual outside of their understanding of the argument at hand is fallow. So I apologize for my gruff assessment of your view. I really don't know you, and that was rude of me. I just like to think I'm funny sometimes...and I am, just not this time.

Otherwise, I feel like l understand this emotion as well as any human can (I might be wrong). I just get perturbed when peoples romantic assessment of anything, let alone a chemical system of our physical minds denies the fact that all things can and do fail. I'm not a pessimist, I still do have hope for healthy functional love, but I can't ignore the fact that things break sometimes.

I think that when people ignore this fact it leads to greater failure. Such as loving the 'wrong' person or thing, which include all the former, but don't exclude those from the following: people who just don't love you back enough or the way you want and need. Hobbies and habits that destroy you in tiny undetectable bits or huge wave, and the list goes on. I've seen love without reason destroy lives and create wonderful things at the same time, as much as I've seen reason without love exclude a person until they've become emotionally caustic to everyone around them and them selves.

I think we're on the same team after all though. Love works sometimes, and when it does it's one of the greatest things that can be experienced by a life form on this planet ask any fat house cat. I think that was Aprils point. Still, the idea that anything is perfect is just an imperfect idea...it's kinda why I think love exists; to allow for the imperfect to stick around long enough to matter....

Ok I'm done, but stop talking bad about lust. It's just as necessary and dangerous as love, but really, lust is not what I was talking about. No one who sticks around to get abused by someone who's been drunk and out of shape for years is in a wild fit of lust. That's reaaally something else."

What do you think estrip?

PS. I missed you. You're so cute when you read lengthy stuff.

Really?

Hey hey eStrippers! Tony here for some phone hate...again.

This is a fun comercial. The microsoft people had to pick some angle to market their phones on, so they decided to choose the "hey, stop using your phone so much" angle. Really?

So this phone makes me not want to use it so much, how did they go about doing that?

Oh this wooden background is my favorite on estrip ever Paul, very nice.... here's the video.

Oooh, note the sexy lady that the guy is ignoring is so hot I keep watching this video, but um, well let's go to tape.

Paul was complaining about his phone making the same noises as everyone elses phones the other day, and that that was one of the reasons he was glad to make the switch to Android. I wonder if it's enough to make him want to try a Windows 7 phone. Prolly not.

Matt my travel buddy is actually more worn out than me...

if I find the energy later I'll jot down some trip details, for now (e:strip). Take care. I'll see you and the rest of buffalo in just a few hours.

Properties

This blog post kicks off a new category for me. It's the properties category.

Right now the rental properties thatI have something to do with consist of a 3 bedroom house and a three bedroom apartment and I've have been and will be doing nothing but taking care of them since the begining of the month. I'm super tired, and even when I do have time to enjoy my self I end up too tired to do to much. (Had some friends over last night and I feel a sleep 1/2 way through Zombieland of all films).

I have a new roommate as of tomorrow, the downstairs tenants are out today and I have a new tenant on Sanders in the house. The house people seem nice a small family with no pets, a four year old an a new baby on the way, my roomie is a buddy and we have a bunch in common which can be both nice and claustrophobic depending on how you do it, but we're planning on have 2 separate living rooms so we shouldn't need to worry about butting heads, and I have to speed rent the downstairs unit out before it too long, but there's a ton of intrest and I might be able to get someone in there before the 15th of September.

I've been doing far less with my nights and days since this month started, I can not wait for it to be over and for all the things in transition to be done with. At least for another year.

Wish me luck peeps.

Puppies in the river

Ok. This link is not for the weak willed.

It's actually quite disturbing, hence the category, but I imagine that this kind of thing goes on all the time, not every puppy can be loved. The girl is perdy cute (she has some kind of Euro accent too) Still... to see it happening, well... Here you go:

NO TAX ON FLAGS!

I had a pretty good 4th weekend.

Hung out with Fernie at the pool at Benderson. Janine came too, she really loves that baby and I think Fern really likes her too. Shy people only like to talk to each other; it's weird… The baby pool was perfect Fern could get in and out by her self and I got some chillax time in the sun. To boot the prices and quality of the concessions at the pool were amazing ($5 for snacks for all, and the chips had flaxseed in em). The hot dog was made out of something I wouldn't be ashamed to say I fed my kid too.

PUBLIC NOTE TO SELF: Always buy the Jewish version of "bad for you" food, it's just better. There's real meat in the hotdogs, real sugar in the Pepsi.... I don't know why they don't do this for other kinds of people, but I'll fake being jewish at bbq's if it'll rid me of some diet guilt.

Got an armband at the carnival for Fern so she could ride everything non stop…and she stopped pretty early. There was a lil baby boy in our entourage and Fern would pet his face like a puppy every once and a while, it was tender. In the middle of everything Fern and I were stranded with all the stuff and she had go to the potty so I had to teach her how to pee "on the side of the road" style between some carnival vehicles. Which must not be easy if you're the girl peeing, and down right scary for a guy trying to teach a girl how to do it for the first time, but we go it done.

Before we got to the carnival in Riverside, Fern and I bought flags and stuff to see the fireworks. We found out that there's no tax on flags, and we kept screaming that at the top of our lungs it while we waved ours. I made sure she really knew what the holiday was for (this time, ask me about Memorial day some time) and i think she really got into it. Man I love that baby and now she loves being an American, I like it that that's what this holiday can be for someone...

And since it was the 4th we stayed up until "are you serious" o'clock until Fern got all "why so serious" on me, but she passed out in the short car ride home so everything was alright.

Went to the beach on Monday with some homies and it was almost a catastrophe but I have sweet assed friends. I did this thing where I get all anxious about something happening without other people there and messaged a ton of humans, then everyone called back at the same time and I didn't want to uninvited anyone. : \ Still I thought the two groups that did want to go might mix well, and i was wrongish. everyone was cool, but clearly some friends didn't have as good a time because the others were there. I gotta be more patient. I'm coming to find this to be a montra that would help me a lot in life.

On the completely up side, being that bereft of clothes for that long was fuuuuuun. Ok, I look a lot better now. I have to say it feels good to be naked in public finally, and being around people who are just as comfortable was key. My friend Josh wore a skin tight american flag man-kini and is blessed by the gods of Wang so I got to see a lot of fun reactions from strange girls. I've decided that flirting is what guys who can't hang their penis' out have to do to convince women sex might be fun. Jokes take a lot to get a girl to giggle the way they do when they spy a fat lazy hamster in his hammock. Just saying.

Later I went to a bbq and grilled what was left of the beach clams and drank really good beer. So even though I missed a few things I was invited to I still had some serious fun.

I guess the thing that stuck with me the most over this weekend is that if you don't take the time to celebrate what is good in things that you have or are all get to have or be is the worst of what's wrong with everything. I felt really American this weekend and I felt good about it coming from a guy like me it's a big step I guess. I think that if everyone would allow them selves to feel good about anything every once in a while, it'd make life a lot brighter...

Ok peeps. Hope you had a fun 4th. We'll chat again soon.
